Chapter 798: Chest Rewards
When Xu Feng made his solemn declaration, Carmen knew it was a done deal.
She could only sigh and shake her head.
"Revenge is sweet, but please only do it if you can. We don't have to seek it fast." She calmly said and pondered for a moment.
She was trying to recall a statement. It took some time, but she finally recalled.
"Right, the saying 'revenge is a dish best served cold'. Even if it takes months or years, so long as revenge is obtained, all is well." She clasped her hands and smiled.
Amused, Xu Feng was truly underestimating her mental state. He had thought the first thing she wished to do was seek revenge.
However, it appeared that only he held such thoughts whereas Carmen was more concerned about the guild's overall progress.
After all, the town at Twilight Glades heavily required funding from the guild. It was truly impossible for them to actively seek revenge.
Not only would their town development be hindered, but their guild might also stagnate and lag behind the other guilds if they tried to focus on the enemy.
Nodding, Xu Feng appreciated her thoughtful concern, but it wasn't needed.
"Relax, revenge doesn't always mean physically taking action." Xu Feng smirked coldly.
"You got an idea?" Alarmed, Carmen twitched her mouth. The incident had barely occurred, but Xu Feng already had an idea to deal the enemy some damage?
"Of course." Xu Feng mused. There were so many ideas that he had in his mind.
Any one of them could easily make the enemy regret their decision. The only downside was losing one of his trump cards and causing others to start paying attention to his guild.
So far, not many people actually take his guild seriously. Only the regular players and some who were within the sphere of influence were affected.
Although he never wished to attract the big whales who could really swarm his guild to death, he realized playing passively only made them more arrogant. Since one of the big whales wished to destroy his foundation, then he shall gladly strike back.
"It doesn't involve any danger, right?" She asked curiously.
Xu Feng pondered for a moment before responding, "No danger, just maybe some attention."
"Okay, I supposed that's not all bad." Carmen breathed a sigh of relief.
The attention was going to come to them sooner or later once their town was announced and revealed to the public. Her only concern was the guild's safety.
Back then, she was selfish and never truly cared about the guild's affair.
However, when Veronica took the Guild Captain position and started taking up a bunch of responsibilities, she began to feel guilty. Despite using the most resources provided by the guild and enjoying an immense level of freedom, she barely contributed much to the guild's administration.
Of course, that was just her naive thought process taking over. Although she barely contributed much in the administration aspect, her combat power alone was enough to disregard that part.
It was just a pity that Xu Feng wasn't a prophet so he couldn't understand the current mindset Carmen was going through.
Instead, he had already begun stepping outside to deal with the aftermath.

Nearly all the players erupted into cheers upon seeing the system notification and the rewards.
"Haha, even the top 51-90% get 10x common-tier reward chests!"
"These reward chests are no joke and have a high rate of rolling good stuff. Even common items would be amazing."
"This is easy work. The system is finally being generous for once!"
"I know, right? Who couldn't output that many contributions with our kill rate? You have to be either AFK or completely dogshit to miss out on the rewards!"
The players conversed among themselves, feeling satisfied that their hard work was rewarded.
While nearly every player in Dawnshire City was excited for the great increase in experience points, and the subsequent reward, only one particular guild was filled with a gloomy expression.
Within the City Hall, two people who were suppressed and unable to move were speechless.
"How come they got rewarded but there's none for me?" Jackson held a dazed expression. He had overheard the conversation of the members from the four major guilds talking about the system prompt notification.
However, there was nothing in front of him—much less a notification prompt.
"Do you have a system notification prompt?" Jackson turned to KaleSalad and asked suspiciously.
KaleSalad stared at Jackson and felt exhausted. 'How did this person even reach his position? Oh, I know… nepotism.'
As much as KaleSalad wanted to curse Jackson for being so stupid, he still suppressed his emotion and explained his conjecture.
"It's probably because we're no longer considered as Dawnshire City players." He calmly said, not a hint of frustration or anger could be discerned from his tone.
After all, the moment they chose to attack the City Hall under Malefic Order Guild's command, KaleSalad already knew the two possible outcomes.
Either they would soar to the top or they would fall so hard that even hell does not have a place for them.
Did he regret his decision?
Not one bit!
The four major guilds and even an outsider Vanguard Guild could treat them as trash, so rather than lowering his head and bowing to them. He might as well go out with a bang.
'I can just quit the guild and join another anyway. With my experience, which guild wouldn't want me?' KaleSalad sneered inwardly.
