Reincarnated with a lucky draw system

Chapter 8: CHAPTER 8: DAWN BINDER

"I'm afraid I can't comply with your decision," Governor Levi said, casting an imposing glareto scare Aaron.

"Should I consider your aggression a threat to pressure me into giving in?" Aaron asked, a smile playing on his face.

Scared? Suffocated? He wasn't fazed one bit by Levi's actions. Sure, Levi was stronger than him stats-wise, but a victory for Levi, were they to fight one-on-one, wasn't set in stone.

With his insane regeneration speed and arsenal of abilities, he saw himself as evenly matched with Levi, though he couldn't show how strong he was yet. It would be detrimental to his growth and invite more flies to him.

"Oh?" Levi was surprised by Aaron's calmness. He couldn't equate the young man sitting across from him confidently with the same person he had met a few years back.

"That's not my intention. Sadly, I have no control over your deceased parents' funds. That authority belongs to the president," Levi disclosed, studying Aaron closely to see if he would back down now that the stakes were higher.

"Well, you can make the call to the president. It wouldbe bad for the government if information about the undue maltreatment of the child of world heroes leaked. Of course, you could suppress the media, but I'm sure those big guilds won't miss the opportunity to bite a large chunk out of the government's authority from that. I hope you make the best decision, Your Excellency, " Aaron said slowly and composedly, his face unreadable.

He stood to his feet and left, not staying longer to risk entering a bargaining war with the governor.

"Ha! A fruit doesn't fall far from its tree! To think he would threaten the very thing the president holds dear and then leave like that! Aaron, was it? I look forward to the surprises he will give me," Levi laughed heartily after Aaron left.

"More like trouble. From his actions, I'm sure he's going to be a tough nut to crack," Rhea said, rolling her eyes.

"From the information I got on him, it seems he failed his awakening ceremony. This is probably a last ditch effort to gain wealth and live out his life quietly," Rhea said with furrowed brows as she browsed through information she had received from a special agent.

"I strongly believe that's not the case, Rhea. The vibes he gave me weren't from someone who wants money to live quietly. It was more like a form of punishment and a statement to others. If you ask me, it's a perfect way to declare himself to the world. I have the knife and the butter, huh? Proceed with his request," Levi told Rhea.

"But—"

"You heard him. We can't risk that happening. It's his parents' wealth, after all. And lest you forget, according to the will his parents left behind, all of their wealth and assets are his when he turns 18," Levi cut Rhea off, preventing her from objecting.

Aaron got home, deciding to rest, but then came the dilemma. He didn't feel tired, filled with so much vitality that the need to sleep was no longer there. But habits were hard to give up, and he wished to sleep after a "stressful day" that hadn't made him break a sweat, not even close.

After several tries, he found a quiet spot in the basement, where it was calm and quiet, and he fell asleep, but not fully.

The Next Day

Aaron woke up the next day, day three since being reincarnated, with an opportunity for one more lucky draw!

"System, lucky draw!" Aaron said excitedly. The excitement was still there for a lucky draw whenever he had a free one. Perhaps by his 30th draw, the thrill would have faded?

An illusory wheel appeared before him, spinning with fervor until it came to a stop.

[Congratulations! You have earned the SSS rank item – Dawn binder]

"Tsk. System, why can't I get two spinsa day?!" Aaron growled, staring at the zero intently, as if doing so would award him another draw.

[Host is too greedy!]

"Tsk!" Aaron grumbled, reading the information about the daylight ring.

[Dawn binder]: Manufactures ten daylight rings a day with no required items or cost. A daylight ring is vital for vampires of viscount rank and below to walk under the sun without being burnt.

Concise information, but easy to understand.

Aaron didn't dwell on it much, ignoring the item for now. He opted against claiming it for the time being. He could bring the item into the world and deal with the trouble of hiding it, but for now, he didn't see the need to turn** anyone into a vampire. Perhaps Blade would make a good candidate for a viscount, but he didn't want to be hasty in making his decision.

Washing up, Aaron got dressed and left, his destination: dungeons.

He had booked several dungeons to raid today, planning to enter full dungeon-raiding mode and acquire as many monster crystals as he could to improve his strength.

The last batch of crystals from the previous day had already been absorbed by him, though his stats hadn't changed.
