Chapter 1508: A Day Comes To An End
-----
Aquarina and her party finally made their way back to Everstone, where they brought the big news about their hunt to everyone. Aquarina carried a big egg pridefully, making everyone that glanced her gasp. Even the village Elders who were so strong and usually would never get surprised were amazed!
"Is that an Egg from a Wyrm?!"
"It is!"
"A Water Wyrm Egg, what a find!"
"Will this become Aquarina's new familiar?"
"She's so lucky!"
As the people clamored, Aquarina reached her home where she gave the big news to her mother and her father, they were amazed as well.
"So you hunted down the Oasis Wyrm there for materials to evolve Leviathan and you found its egg too?!" her mother gasped. "Aquarina, you got really lucky there! Well done, hahah! If it still alive and well, you should make a contract now while the egg can't resist. Wyrms and dragons in general are very hard to tame after all, unless you make an early bond like this."
"Yeah, I remember Allan had a lot of difficulties when he tamed his Red Dragon," nodded Aquarina's father. "It was always biting him and burning his hands or face with its breath, it was quite the rascal to deal with."
"Oh I had no idea he tamed a red dragon… But aren't those even greater than wyrms, and smart and intelligent too?!" asked Aquarina.
"Ah, it's a long story, maybe for another time," said Aquarina's mother. "It… well, it doesn't have a nice ending."
"Hm, well, congratulations Aquarina," her father smiled. "You've brought an amazing new companion. You were kind of missing another familiar like this. Pyuku is strong and it has strengthened you as well, but he alone wouldn't do… there were your two spirits, but getting familiars that are monsters is crucial for your growth."
"Yeah I wanted a dragon too," nodded Aquarina. "Well, a dragon-type monster I suppose! Should I make the familiar bond right away?"
"Like Zephy did, yeah," nodded her mother. "So the egg can then be incubated inside of your Soulscape! The young wyrm will then be born already attached to you and will also be born stronger as it'll feed on your Mana and Soul Energy as it grows."
"Interesting," Aquarina said. "Alright, let's do that. Can you help me, mom?"
"Sure, leave it to me," nodded her mother. "Honey, can you start making dinner with the Wyrm meat and the Salamander?"
"I got it," nodded Shade. "Alright Silvia, Justicio, would you like to help me out a bit?"
"Of course! Yes!" Silvia nodded.
"Ah, ok…" Justicio muttered, noticing how Silvia acted when she talked with Aquarina's father.
"I'll also help!" Pyuku ended joining them as well.
As they started cooking a big dinner, Aquarina and her mother walked towards Aquarina's room, where her mother told her to sit cross-legged over the floor.
There was a long carpet over the floor, made out of a huge Mountain Tiger's pelt, it was soft and fluffy to sit on.
Aquarina also took off her sandals as she liked going around barefoot if she could help it, stretching her legs and her toes, until she sat comfortably.
"Alright…"
Her mother nodded, as she held the egg, which had a faint little heartbeat. However, she noticed it required to be underwater to develop or it would dry and die out.
However, as long as it can enter Aquarina's Soulscape, the Soulscape itself will shape into a special area for the egg to develop with the best conditions.
She held the egg and then gently placed it in between Aquarina's thighs.
Then, as Aquarina felt the egg's warmth and its heartbeat, she meditated for a couple of seconds.
Her mother nodded, touching her shoulders and then imbuing her Mana.
She guided Aquarina's Mana towards the egg, making them resemble threads.
Why was she doing this when Aquarina had made a contract with spirits and Pyuku before on her own?
It was simple, to contract eggs, a necessary procedure was needed, if it was done too forcefully, the little monster inside the egg would end up dying due to the shock of mana flowing into its tiny body at once.
And she knew her daughter was quite the brute, so she wanted to help her out on this for now, although she hoped she would learn after the first try.
FLUOSH!
The mana threads connected successfully with the egg, and then slowly passed through the thick eggshell, reaching the little water wyrm fetus developing inside.
The little fetus remained in silence, but it twitched a bit when it felt the mana, Aquarina noticed it, but said nothing.
Her mother nodded, smiling, as she continued guiding Aquarina's Mana Threads, making sure they were led correctly.
"Make sure to remember this feeling and this technique, Aquarina."
She guided her daughter, slowly, mother and daughter's mana became one. Ultimately, she slowly pulled out her Mana, as Nepheline saw Aquarina create the Familiar Contract fully.
FLAAASH!
The little Wyrm didn't even have the independence to reject the offer at all, as it barely was a fetus, so the contract was immediately made.
Aquarina immediately felt an aura of draconic, magical power course through her body, she sighed in relief that it was finally done.
"I saw no memories, I guess it's because it still a baby, huh?"
"Yeah, in this case you won't see any memories, but the wyrm might see some of yours instead, of your past and so on."

"That's interesting… will that affect its growth?"
"Perhaps, it might make it smarter when it hatches."
"Alright, I'm done then… Let's see… Oh!"
FLASH!
The egg suddenly disappeared, appearing once more within Aquarina's Soulscape.
There, it floated down into a beautiful lake in the middle of grasslands.
The egg rested inside the lake's depths, it had the perfect temperature and nutrients for the egg to absorb.
And at the same time, Aquarina felt her Mana flowing inside the egg, feeding it and strengthening the little wyrm inside.
"It seems to be done," said Aquarina. "It's now inside, so we're good!"
"Well done," said her mother, caressing Aquarina's head and kissing her forehead. "Let's go eat now, you look hungry."
"Yeah! Let's go!" Aquarina nodded.
However, she stopped for a second, glancing through the window at the setting sun.
"Another day has come to an end…" she thought. "Sylphy, wait a bit more!"
