Chapter 25: Death Point.
Chapter 25: Death Point.
Reading the report inside a town hall room, Ian is exhausted. The reason is that the monster tide from Violet Forest has disappeared. He has ordered people to find out what type of monster lives in Violet Forest. According to the report, three monster nests exist goblins, gnolls, and lizardfolk. There is also no large flying monster to transport them without being noticed.
Opening the door is the public servant of the town hall. "Sir, this is the report from the border."
After reading the report, Ian doesn’t find anything strange because everything is the same as what happened last year. The Cirean Kingdom army has fended off the monster tide for the first day.
"Wait a minute, according to the report, they see an orc, but why are there only goblins and other monsters in the front line?" He snaps out of it after some thought. "I am supposed to find out where the Violet Forest monster tide location is." Ian is sure the general at the border has already noticed it.
In reality, Ian wishes to return to Mage Nation. He had to postpone his return due to his teacher entering the violet forest. The people in the town have treated him well in the past few years. "I'll return home after the winter is over." With his teacher's pseudo-master mage strength, most creatures can’t kill him.

Violet forest fortress. In the past few days, there have been monsters that accidentally entered the fortress because of hunger. They ended up being killed by Clara and Otis, and their blood is being used to help Levi.
"That’s all we can help you with; after this, it depends on you." Said Clara.
Levi has passed the first step and officially becomes a primitive mage. However, compared to modern magic, it has some flaws. The good thing is that he can use it as a surprise attack while fighting.
"I need to go out for training; do you want to follow?"
"I want to stay here." Otis is shivering while wearing thick fur clothes.
"I will stay here; you will not grow strong if I help you."
Levi leaves the fortress early in the morning, heading for the monster nest. A flock of undead birds is flying through the sky, and several undead monsters and zombies are following him. He has a test to convert them to death points, but it fails. The only way out is to kill them again, but he will get fewer points.
One of the undead birds flew down and stopped in front of Levi. "It looks like I can start the hunt."

The Gnoll tribe Humanoid hyenas can be seen laughing and having a good time because they don't have to starve this year.
The majority of the adult gnolls who can fight have left the tribe to attack humans. Before they embark on their long journey, the gnoll brings them human meat as well as live humans who can be slaughtered later.
Inside the hut that has been used as a prison cell, the chubby humans huddle near each other because of the cold. With their size, they can’t run far before getting spotted by the monster.
"???!"
"AHHHHH!"
"?????!"
"What happened outside?" Said the chubby man while looking at the door.
"Be quiet; do you want to die?" Said the chubby middle-aged woman.
Outside the hut, the commotion is getting louder.
"The army must have come to rescue us!" A chubby boy stands up and walks toward the door. However, before he can get near, the door burst open, and the large head of the wolf peeked inside the house.
"Wolf!" The chubby boy stumbles and runs toward the other captive.
The wolf takes one step into the hut and then stops. After a while, the wolf left the captive and attacked the gnoll nearby.
"What should we do?" Asked the chubby man.
"It’s better if we stay here until everything is safe."
-
Levi swung his sword and decapitated the gnoll's head, while at the same time absorbing the monster's blood. After that, the gnoll's body turns to the invisible particle of light that only he can see enter his body, and the gnoll carcass disappears.
Kicking the door of a hut, he can see an older gnoll protecting a younger gnoll. Raising his hand, Levi cast a fireball and burned both of them. If he were weak, the one who would die was him, and because of that, there was no need for compassion when life was on the line.
Walking outside the hut, Levi walks to the nearby carcass. Most of the gnolls are already gone after he used his undead bird to spy on the tribe. That means he can harvest a lot of death points after killing the gnoll here.
"????!" A young gnoll comes out of the nearby hut, yelling and pointing his sword at him.
[Free Language Pact.]
[Translating Gnoll Language.]
"Human, how dare you attack our tribe?" Yell at the young gnoll.
"If you can attack humans, why can't I attack your tribe?"
The gnoll was stunned at first when Levi spoke in the gnoll language. But when he sees a dead tribemate on the ground, he rushes toward the intruder without any fear.
Levi evades the gnoll's sword and tries to cut the monster's arm using his sword. However, the gnoll manages to parry the attack in time and roll on the ground to keep his distance from the intruder.
"It appears that I need to get serious." Levi is unsurprised because he isn't even fighting at full strength. He raises his sword, imbued with mana, and slashes it vertically. Releasing a red blade of energy that the young gnoll is unable to avoid in time. His eyes widened as his body was severed in half.
Levi goes near the young gnoll carcass, and his eyes are still open in fear and disbelief. After that, the carcass disappears.
In another area, an elderly gnoll holding two spears is protecting a small gnoll from being killed by the undead. The undead surrounded the gnoll to prevent him from escaping, and in the sky, the undead birds circled around, preparing to attack. On the ground, several undead birds were already dead after being pierced by the spear.
"You are good to last this long!" Levi stops behind the undead zombie.
"You can speak our language?" The elderly gnoll is shocked because he has never heard of humans speaking in their language before.
"Surrender; I will make you die faster."
"Fight me like a warrior!"
"Sorry to disappoint you, I am not a warrior."
"Coward human!"
"How about you surrender, and I will spare the small gnoll's life?" Levi smirked. People have called him many things in his past life. However, after dying so many times, he doesn’t really care. Instead, sometimes he pretends to be angry to benefit him in negotiations or fighting.
Hearing that elderly gnoll's body tremble, but soon his gaze becomes stern, "Humans are liars!"
"You are right." After saying that, Levi launches a ball of blood from his palm. By instinct, the gnoll pierces the ball with his spear. But that was a mistake; the blood ball exploded, and many small blood needles attacked the elderly gnoll.
"AHHH!" The gnoll's eyes hurt, and he can’t open his eyes. While he is struggling, the undead attack him together. The undead wolf bites his arms off, and the other begins to eat the elderly gnoll alive.
The small gnoll falling on his buttock can only watch the elderly gnoll getting ripped apart and eaten. After attacking the elderly gnoll, the undead kills the small gnoll.
Levi and the undead continue wandering around the tribe and killing any gnoll that they can find.
While Levi is watching the massacre, an undead bird lands on his shoulder, and he closes his eyes. After a few minutes, he opens his eyes and begins ordering the undead to flee to the forest. The carcass of the gnolls disappears, and he runs toward the woods.
Levi had not expected a group of chubby humans that he ordered the undead not to kill to follow him from behind.
The adult gnoll that goes out hunting returns to their tribe, and what they see is the destruction of the tribe.
Not far from Levi is a black-haired woman with a scarred face and a bald middle-aged man wearing fur clothes, both shivering.
"Why are we following him? I thought we were staying in the fortress." Otis is rubbing his hands together to warm his cold hand.
"If he died, our hard work would be wasted."
Flying in the sky, an undead bird is following them.

The Cirean Kingdom's capital city prison
The king or imposter has been chained to the prison wall. In front of him is a table full of torture devices.
"Why are you making this difficult? Your friend already confessed everything."
The imposter looks tired after the torture. His blood has covered the prison stone floor, but he refuses to give in.
"We only need to know where the king is and don’t care about your organization."
The imposter gazed at the man in front of him with hatred.
"Fine if you want to do this the hard way." The man takes a pair of metal scissors and prepares for the next session of torture.
