Chapter 94: Lynn
A/N: I changed bar to inn... I know I'm stupid to mistake them. Also, I want to remind you, this novel isn't smut, but it's still dark R18 novel.

"I thought about the dwarf's offer, and I want a drink now. Give me a cup of this coffee and a cup of this liquor."
"As you wish, sir."
I was now on the first floor of the inn, sitting at the inn counter, asking for a drink from the manager that the dwarf talked about earlier.
It was 3am. The place was empty and there were only me, the manager and another guest in the entire inn.
The manager, a beautiful brunette elf with brown eyes, returned after a moment with a cup of blue coffee and golden liquor.
She looked at me with some confusion as she scanned the empty inn, then she asked: "Can I ask… who will take the second cup?"
"Oh, the liquor is for you." I gave her a soft smile. "Well, it was for the dwarf as an apology for calling him little boy, but he doesn't seem to be here, so you can take it."
The manager laughed. "Was that you? Myles told me about you before leaving. He may have anger issues, but he is a kind guy."
She handed me my cup and took the other for herself. "But I'll gladly accept your gift." She winked. "After all, I can't waste something you paid for. It's been a long time since I drank this."
I took a sip of coffee, feeling the hot, sweet liquid moving through my throat, then asked: "Why did you make your inn here? You barely have any customers here."
I looked at the windows. "There are no close shops or hotels, it's far from the academy, and not even close enough to the walls to add some security."
At my words, the manager smiled wryly. "Exactly, it's a bad place, and that's why this land was too cheap."
A sigh escaped her lips. "Unlike you, the genius Black Devil, I'm only a Tier-1 Exalted. I barely had enough EC to buy this land back then."
I raised an eyebrow. "So you aren't from this academy?"
"No." She shook her head as she took another sip of the liquor. "I'm from the servants academy. It just happened that I decided to work here for an additional income. The exalted are rich after all."
Her cheeks flushed deeper with every sip of her drink. "Though it's embarrassing to say that, I… do missions in the red area sometimes. It was how I got enough coins to rent this land for a year."
"Oh…" I said nothing more, the silence felt heavy, but she didn't seem to notice anything in her drunk state.
For any female Exalted that couldn't awaken her core, there was a mission she could do for some EC or even contribution points outside the academy.
It was childbearing.
Having a mana core increases the chance of giving birth to a child with mana core. The government and the 4 kingdoms were ready to give rewards for who gave birth to a potential valuable Exalted.
They went so far as to make an area in the Exalted Academy where those girls would get pregnant by other Exalted, then they would get rewards depending on if the child had mana core or not.
After that, the girls could either raise the children or leave them in an orphanage where they would be nameless until they became 18.
It was a disgusting system, but for the government and the kingdoms, it was necessary for making more Exalted children.
Taking the last sip of my drink, I stood up and began to stretch my body while asking: "So, why did you go that far? I would understand if it was only once, but I can see from your blood flow that even now, you are pregnant in… maybe between second and third month."
The manager blinked at me before bursting into laughter. "It's to be like you! To have magical abilities that could detect if someone's pregnant."
She left the empty liquor cup and stared at the ceiling in daze. "You probably heard about it, the miracle flower that could force the cores to awaken. I'm… really willing to buy it before returning to Eldoria where it would cost more… even if I had to sell my body."
'So that's why…'
I teleported to a seat beside her and put my hand on the back of her neck. She flinched slightly on the touch before leaning close to me and looking at me with charming eyes.
"Hehe. Sir, don't you know that I'm pregnant? I can allow only soft play currently if you pay enough~"
Without a change in my expression, I made a wind barrier silently around the counter, then asked the manager: "What's your name? And why did you accept the drink in this state? Alcohol is dangerous for pregnant women."
"Hehe." A soft laugh escaped her lips. "A small cup of normal liquor won't be a problem. They give us free medicine for small things like alcohol toxins. My name is Lynn by the way~"
I turned my head and looked her in the eyes, a wide smirk on my face.
For some reason, she flinched after seeing my handsome face, but I didn't care too much.
"Lynn, unfortunately… you have sold more than just your body."
Before she could react, I made a small pulse of lightning from my hand. It entered her body and made her fall unconscious on the ground.
I ran my fingers through my hair, pushing it back. "Phew, that was both embarrassing and depressing."
[Can I eat her now?]
I shook my head. "Not yet."
From my storage, I took 2 small metallic devices. The first looked like a white key from science fiction with a small mana crystal embedded on it. The second was a tiny ball with an almost visible button on it.
'The black market is really amazing.'
My eyes landed on the inn counter. I knocked on it multiple times, following the vibrations until I found a small, hidden cover panel in the side.
It needed a specific mana pattern to open, which only Lynn had something to make it. Thankfully, I was ready for that.
I took the tiny ball and placed it against the cover panel before pressing the button. Immediately, a surge of mana erupted from it.
The tiny ball turned into ashes, and the panel was opened like a window, revealing a small keyhole.
I put the other device in the keyhole and channeled my aether into it. The shape of the key changed slowly until it matched the keyhole.
I kept rotating the key until I heard a *click*. A part of the counter began to move to the side like a door, revealing a hole with stairs leading to under the 'Inn'.
[I still can't feel it with my spatial awareness...]
I explained to Glutton. 'Interesting, right? This place is made specifically to counter the principal's spatial awareness. For space users like us, this place doesn't exist. And for our bracelets, we will be standing in front of the counter.'
I went to the inn's door and rotated the signboard to show the "Closed" side.
With 2 invisible hands, I grabbed Lynn's unconscious body and began to take her with me to the stairs.
Finally, I closed the container's hidden door and dismissed the wind barrier, then I began to go down.
Now, even if someone entered the inn, they would only find 2 empty cups and a sleeping guest on the second floor.
