Reincarnated As The Villainess's Son

Chapter 434: Dystopian Elven War [10] [Way To Godhood]

"Hah…"

I let out a soft sigh as I looked at the ceiling of my room.

As I have nowhere to go, I am staying in the Segyal household.

Because all the shit that happened on the very first day of coming back and knowing what's going to happen….

I just can't bring myself to sleep.

And living in hell for such a long time has made me immune to comfortable sleep.

"Urgh."

I groaned, rubbing my temples as I sat back up.

[<Are you alright?>]

Inna's concerned voice echoed in my mind.

"….Yeah." I replied, nodding. "Just tired."

[<Is it because of Zenith?>]

"..."

I didn't reply as I remembered what happened with us today.

After knowing that I am getting engaged with Siersha, she has been partially ignoring me after that.

Even though I tried to talk to her, she didn't give me much attention.

'Guess it hit her harder than I thought.'

I rubbed my temples to alleviate some headache.

Taking in a deep breath, I mumbled, "Alright, time to train a little."

I closed my eyes as I began to visualize my kingdom.

My mind wandered off before a snapping sound echoed.

I blinked as I found myself in a completely white space.

Well, not completely as I had three different kingdoms on its three corners.

After a few seconds of waiting, another person appeared beside me.

With her golden blonde hair cascading behind her, she stood tall.

Her face was as mesmerising as her beautiful crimson eyes.

She wore a white robe.

Inna blinked innocently, looking at me. "What?"

Damn, she is beautiful.

"….Nothing." I replied, straightening my back a little. "Hey, I am taller than you now."

Inna raised an eyebrow and crossed her arms. "Barely."

"Barely still counts," I said, smiling as I stretched my arms. "Who is the little one now, huh?"

"Still you." She said before she ignored me and looked around my kingdom. "Your kingdom is really fascinating, isn't it?"

"I would be more happy if it was practical." I grumbled, focusing on the task as well. "I don't understand what I'm doing wrong."

"Nothing, actually." She replied, her voice soft. "We are just going in circles."

I nodded faintly as I glanced around the place. "Was there never a case like mine before?"

I squinted my eyes as I looked around the place.

The kingdom with the blazing sun should belong to Amun-ra.

The one with the ability to disturb time should be of Qaisel.

And…

The one with death should belong to Azrael.

'Actually, I can't be so sure about it.'

Inna never said out loud that my first life was as Azrael.

I am the one who came up with the conclusion with all the shit I have been through.

"Previous lives don't affect the kingdoms, Qais." She whispered softly. "I don't know why yours is like this. You should have no relation with Amun-ra."

"What do you mean by that?" I asked, tilting my head in confusion. "His wife called me her own, and you are saying we are not even related?"

I still felt chills even thinking about Amunet.

That bitch is crazy, and I don't like it.

"You don't understand…" she whispered softly. "Things are not that simple."

"Then explain it to me." I replied, turning fully to look at her.

Inna looked at me for a while before she let out a sigh.

"When I first started my journey for Godhood," she said, with a pause, "there was no Amun-ra."

Inna's words hung in the air like a blade suspended above still water.

I blinked. "What?"

"We only get to know his name when we reach the peak of demigod level," she replied, her voice soft. "Before that, it was like he never existed."

"So, are you saying he came out of nowhere?" I asked, frowning in confusion.

Inna nodded slowly, her eyes still fixed on the blazing kingdom across the white space. "Not nowhere," she said.

"But he wasn't always what he is now. That name… that power… it wasn't there in the beginning."

"But how?" I asked, taking a step beside her. "You don't just become a god without a trace."

"You don't," she agreed. "Unless someone… rewrites the trace."

I stared at her, my brows furrowed. "You think someone changed history?"

"I think the world limited the knowledge about him in the era of chaos." She replied in a low voice. "I don't understand why as well."

I just gave her a short nod as I fell deep in thought.

'What even is Amun-ra.'

The more I get to know about him, the more I feel lost.

Even though I have his blessing and can summon his daughter, I don't know why I can do that.

It's like having a weapon but not knowing how to control and use it to its full potential.

'I need more information about him.'

Even though it's been a while, I still remember Inna's words.

'Amun-Ra's blessing is a curse to me.'

I let out a sigh as I glanced back at her.

"By the way." I began. "What comes after a kingdom, like what about demigods?"

"Well, there are a lot of things that make a demigod special," she replied, smiling. "Like a low-demigod's kingdom is the size of a nation."

"What about mid-Demigods?"

"Hmm, bigger than a continent."

"Then peak-demigod?"

Inna waited for a while to think before she replied.

"They make their own authority and laws." She smiled. "Their kingdom can be as big as several continents combined."

"…That's insane."

"Not as insane as being a God," she replied, grinning slightly. "You need to make an entire world to reach Godhood."

I blinked, even more curious now. "Like Lumina?"

Inna's smile died down as she looked at the blazing sun kingdom.

"Not everyone can make a world like Lumina where people can exist," she replied softly.

"There is an infinite number of things that affect the growth of life, and even for a god, it would take millions of years to align those infinities for life to be born."

I nodded, not really sure what to say. "…Damn, that sounds hard to achieve."

"That's why most gods base their worlds on stars," she replied, smiling. "Even my world is based on it; those who don't just snatch other people's."

"…I see." I replied, rubbing my chin. "How many gods have life in their World?"

"Two."

"One is Creator God," I replied, looking at her. "What about the other?"

"Aren't we getting way off the topic?" she reminded me. "Don't you think?"

Even though I wanted to ask more, I also shifted back to the main topic.

"So, what do you think?" I asked, looking at her. "How should I solve my problem?"

"Like I said before," she replied. "Make your own kingdom, one that is stronger than those three."

"….. Easier for you to say." I grumbled, rubbing my neck. "Urgh, is there no other way."

"You either suppress those kingdoms with your own," she said, smiling, "or you integrate them. The choice is yours."

Saying so, she walked out of the place, leaving me alone.

"..."

I stared at the three kingdoms that blazed in front of my eyes.

I need to make a kingdom stronger than these, huh?

"….."

Fuck me.

---

After spending a few hours in my kingdom, I gave up on it.

Instead, I arrived at the space where I was cultivating my own World Tree.

Despite it only being a few months, the World Tree has grown a lot in size.

The roots had dug deep into the white mist below, and the branches stretched high like they were trying to touch something beyond this space.

A few small orbs floated around it—tiny fragments of mana and hell energy.

They looked fragile, like soap bubbles, but I knew they were far more dangerous.

I walked closer and placed a hand on the bark.

It pulsed under my fingers.

Warm and Alive.

"…You've grown fast," I muttered.

It didn't respond, obviously, but something in the air felt… acknowledging.

Taking in its beauty for a while, I looked at the body that was intertwined with the branches.

The body of the youngest master of House Atretic.

Vadanis' body.

I smiled as I brought him closer to my face.

His antler-like horns had cracks on them as he had tried a lot to break free.

I moved the branch that was inside his mouth and down his throat.

"Cough! Cough!"

Vadanis coughed violently as he glared at me.

"You son of a bitch—!"

"Alright, you talk too much," I replied as I placed the gag back on his mouth.

He looked like he was going to vomit but still took it in.

"Listen man, I got nothing against you," I replied, looking at him. "But there is something I need, and your family has it."

I reached out my hand and patted his head despite him glaring daggers.

"Be a good boy and you will live for long."

I have already gotten information from House Atretic.

They are sending a demigod to join my engagement.

I would negotiate a price for him there.

"Well, you aren't needed for now," I said, sending him dangling up in the sky.

Letting out a deep sigh, I moved out of the place.

"Hmm?"

I blinked a few times as I was back in my room.

Though this time I wasn't alone.

Mariam sat on the chair that was close to my bed.

"You shouldn't train with all your mind in it," she advised, looking at me. "Someone could kill you in that state."

I didn't reply; instead, I asked, "What do you want?"

The old elf morphed into anger at my tone, but she didn't scold me, she just sighed.

"Your engagement is going to be held in two days," she replied, looking at me. "I have invited all those who are needed."

I fully turned to look at her. "You don't sound happy."

"I am not," she replied, shaking her head. "My experience with engagement has never been good."

I blinked in surprise. "Why?"

"It's related to… Ragnar," she replied, her voice barely audible. "I don't want to talk about it."

I gave her a small nod of understanding. "..I see."

"And," she said, standing back up. "Your mother will also be joining us."

"..."

Esmeray....
