Reincarnated As The Villainess's Son

Chapter 428: Dystopian Elven War [4]

[Unknown Island, Kandam Continent.]

[Himmel's POV.]

House Atretic, as most know, is one of the oldest families in Kandam.

They live under the protection of an old god who was once born within their bloodline.

A being worshipped in secret, long forgotten by most, yet never gone.

It was the Epoch of Rebirth, the same era when Qaisel was born, that the god awakened.

And ever since, House Atretic has remained a power no one dares to touch.

On the surface, they're healers.

Hospitals, Clinics and Medicine that saved millions.

A name trusted by all.

But beneath the polished image, there was rot.

Race trafficking.

Experiments on living beings.

Mixing DNA of different races to create soldiers, slaves… and sometimes, monsters.

There is a reason for them to be in power when their God isn't there for them.

House Atretic has the powerful beings under their control.

What's worse is that many of the powerful factions are well aware of it including the church.

Yet…

None do anything about it because of how much House Atretic is integrated with their economy.

If they fall then so will a large number of their established system.

House Atretic are always in need of powerful races that they can experiment on.

And there is only one race they are legally contracted with.

The only race that supplies their people 'willingly.'

The Demiurge race.

Being a race that is called a lesser Asura, they are known for a durable body.

That's why House Atretic formed a contract with them hundreds of years ago.

Now, Demiurge gets a supply of genetically advanced soldiers from them.

House Atretic supporting the Demiurge in the War is for Elves.

A powerplay in which both parties are benefited.

Demiurges by taking the lands of the elves and getting a better lifestyle.

House Atretic having their hands on the elven race.

Something they always wanted, have desire to do mass experiment because of their nature-loving bodies.

A way for them to take their knowledge of everything to a different level.

---

"And that's the gist of it."

I ended up explaining mostly about the House Atretic as I looked at Aimar.

The man with long black hair nodded thoughtfully as he looked down.

I did the same as the wind hit my face as we both floated high in the air.

Below us was the enormous factory-like structure that was spread hundreds of metres wide.

"What's this place?" Aimar asked, pointing at it.

"One of the House Atretic's bases."

"And… why are we here?" Aimar asked, his voice a little troubled.

I smiled slightly as I began to float down. "You will see."

Aimar didn't seem to hesitate as he began to float down with me.

'Weird,' I mused, landing just in front of the main gate. 'I thought he would ask a lot more than that.'

It's been six months since I last saw him, well not technically but still…

'He has grown a lot.'

Was training with the vampires that effective?

"Hey." Aimar said, as he landed just beside me. "How fucking strong are you?"

"We can talk about that later." I said, pointing at the camera on the side. "Say, hii."

Aimar turned towards the camera and smiled brightly. "Hii bitches."

He made a face, like he was gagging on a dick which I found really weird.

'The fuck happened to him.'

I chuckled and—.

BOOMM!!!

Broke the door in one punch.

"The fuck!?" Aimar snapped, as I walked through the dust. "I thought you had an appointment—."

"I am here to kidnap someone." I replied, as the siren began to blast the place. "Why would I have an appointment."

The footsteps of people rushing towards us echoed within the hallway path.

The footsteps grew louder. A blur of white coats and guards in armor rushed down the corridor.

Aimar blinked. "Wait. Wait, wait, wait. You brought me to crash a blacksite?"

I smiled as I rolled my shoulder. "Technically, it's not—.

"Technically, my ass!"

Bullets rang out as the guards raised their rifles, that high-grade mana tech.

But before a single shot could land—

I waved my hand coated with void energy.

A destructive wave of energy rushed towards them, eating everything in its path.

One guard flew into the ceiling. Another crashed through a wall.

The rest stumbled back, shouting in panic.

Aimar whistled low. "Well, damn."

He wasn't wrong to be impressed.

Six months away from everything, and my body was far more powerful than anyone could imagine.

"Let's go." I said, walking forward. "Oh right."

I mumbled, taking out my phone I set an alarm of five minutes.

Aimar looked at me curiously. "Why did you do that?"

"Oh, the Alarm?" I asked, looking at him. "It's the amount of time their demigod will take to reach here."

Aimar stopped dead in his tracks.

"…You invited a demigod to this?"

"I didn't invite him," I said, casually stepping over a broken tile. "Though, he will come here to kill us."

Aimar blinked innocently. "…Fuck." he groaned. "You really need to start opening with this kind of information."

We passed through another corridor, the lights above flickering from the earlier surge of void energy.

"Oh, do you guys want to play?" I said, stopping on my path. "You can if you—."

My words didn't even leave my mouth as three clusters of light left from my body.

Iffa, Olivia and Willis, all three came out.

"Can I? Can I?"

Iffa asked, her eyes sparkled like a child finding a new toy.

I patted her head. "Sure."

"Yay!"

The little girl materialised a hammer, thrice her size and rushed towards the incoming soldiers.

I glanced at my red-haired spirit daughter. "Look after her, Olivia."

The girl nodded and walked behind the excited child.

"Hm?" When I looked to my side, I found Aimar staring at me. "What?"

"Her name…." He whispered softly. "Was after Oliver?"

"Why are you acting like you don't know?" I asked, blinking.

"N..No, it's nothing." He replied, shaking his head. "Anyway, what about him."

He pointed at Willis who walked beside me.

Unlike the last time he saw him, Willis has grown a lot.

He has evolved to a young spirit.

He is now the height of a twelve-year-old and lost all his childlike features.

Worse.

He has turned grumpy and old.

"Are you not going with them?" I asked, messing his lavender hair.

"No." He replied, shaking his head.

I shrugged as I looked at Iffa.

The girl played around with the soldiers that kept on rushing towards us.

Using her war hammer, she crushed everyone that crossed paths with her.

Iffa gleefully swung her hammer and turned a grown soldier into a crumpled wall ornament.

"Papa! Papa!"

Iffa giggled in the distance, waving towards me, I waved back and she then focused ahead.

She did a full spin with the hammer before slamming it into the ground.

A shockwave blasted a group of charging guards off their feet like they were bowling pins.

Behind her, Olivia calmly walked, interfering when it's needed.

She flicked her fingers, controlling thin wires that sliced through guns and armor like paper.

"She doesn't even need to move," Aimar said, mumbled. "How strong are they?"

"Low-Overlord." I replied, already turning the corner toward the inner chambers.

Willis trailed beside me, hands in his coat pockets, a deep frown on his face.

"She is too flashy," he muttered. "She's making too much noise."

"She's a kid," I said. "Let her have fun."

"I shouldn't let you raise your child, man." Aimar mumbled, rubbing his chin. "They would be too violent."

I didn't bother to reply as I noticed something amiss.

'Why are there so few guards?'

From what I know there should be a thousand of them.

Yet….

I can only feel a little over five hundred different mana signatures within the facility.

'That's weird.'

The hallway narrowed as we stepped deeper.

The lights here were different—blue, soft, sterile. Like a hospital, but colder.

We reached a sealed gate, where Iffa and Olivia were already waiting.

"Alright, go inside." I said, patting the little girl. "I will give you some ice cream if you do."

The little hesitation in her eyes quickly faded as she nodded brightly. "Okay."

She turned into a cluster and so did the other two.

'Two hundred different mana signatures on the other side, huh?'

Without a word, I placed my hand on the metal.

Void energy spread along the seams like cracks in ice.

The gate hissed and folded open with a metallic groan.

The moment it happened, thousands of high-speed bullets rushed towards us.

"Mana shield."

I simply deployed a shield that immediately stopped everything thrown at us.

Before they could understand anything, hundreds of branches appeared out of thin air, crushing each one of them.

Aimar silently looked at the destruction without any words.

"Cool, isn't it?" I asked, waving all the branch-like hands.

His lips twitched before he smiled. "Let me show you something cooler."

He pointed his finger like a gun towards one of the standing soldiers.

A small portal opened up and a sword rushed at high speed, impaling the soldier on the wall.

I whistled, clearly impressed. "That's nice." I mumbled. "Are you suspending high-speed weapons and storing them in a space?"

"Yep." He said, pointing his finger at my face. "I can also do it in point-blank range."

I smiled at him as I crossed my index and middle finger.

A new group of soldiers rushed towards us, making me look at them.

Taking a breather, I whispered. "Pillar of Light."

A sudden burst of energy rushed from the ceiling, immediately frying those soldiers.

Aimar blinked innocently before he rushed towards the open ceiling.

He stared at the sky then at me. "Bitch, did you just control the Sun?"

I chuckled, walking past him. "I have no idea what you are saying."

"You did, right?" He asked, walking with me. "How did you do that?"

"No idea." I said, as we reached another bunker-like door.

'This is going to be a little tough.'

Taking in a deep breath, I blew on the door while using Neplh.

Aimar whistled as I touched the door. "Wow, the way you blow, you really gonna make some guy happy."

I chuckled. "Why that guy can't be you?"

"Say that again while making eye contact, please."

"Fuck off."

The bunker-like door turned into nothing but glass that shattered on impact.

But…..

On the other, there was nothing but a screen in which a young man was grinning.

He had short grey hair and antlers like deer's adorning his head.

Vanadis R. Atretic.

The youngest master of House Atretic.

"Are you surprised?" He asked, looking at me. "It's shocking, isn't it? Not finding me there."

I didn't say anything as I let out a pulse of mana from my body in every direction.

Then I took a chair and sat down.

Aimar stood beside me, arms crossed, his eyes narrowing at the screen. "That's the guy?"

"Yeah," I muttered, leaning back in the chair. "That's Vanadis."

Vanadis grinned wider. He looked too young for the things I knew he'd done.

Dressed in a crisp white uniform, hands lazily behind his head like he didn't have a care in the world.

"You are Himmel, right?" he said. "The miracle child, world's favourite creation of what not."

I raised an eyebrow. "You know me?"

"Who doesn't know you?" He asked, his smile slowly dying. "Everyone hates your guts here."

I rubbed my chin as I leaned on the chair. "Where are you now?"

"Somewhere you can never reach." He barked, glaring at me. "You made a huge mistake by trying to attack us."

"Hmm?" I tilted my head in confusion.

"I am fully aware why you are doing this." He said, grinning like an idiot. "It's for Yennefer, right?"

I didn't reply as I stared dead into his eyes.

"You know she could have been kept out of this if you just remained silent." He said, enjoying the moment. "Now, she would be dragged down because of you."

The pulse of mana that I sent returned back to me.

And I smiled, standing up.

"I swear when I inform grandpa About this—."

I ignored him completely as I formed a spear of mana in my hand.

Turning to the west, I raised my hand and threw the spear, letting mana guide it.

I fully turned towards the young man who suddenly stopped.

"Eighty kilometres from here." I said, staring dead into his eyes. "I can see you, Vanadis."

Vanadis took a step back. "Y..You're bluffing—."

BOOOMM!!

His words cut short when an ice spear was impaled where he just stood.

That was all to make him completely pale.

I smiled as my shoulder blades twisted.

"You have ten seconds." I whispered. "Run."

My wings unfolded majestically behind me.
