Reincarnated as a Wandering Swordsman in a World of Magic and Murim

Chapter 36: Chapter 36: The Path of the Seeker

Ren stepped out of the ancient trial chamber, the cold mountain air biting against his skin. The weight of the jade crystal in his hand felt heavier than it should, as if carrying the knowledge of the lost sects bore a physical burden. His path was now set—he was no longer just a wandering swordsman but a seeker of forgotten wisdom.

As he descended the rocky slopes, his mind replayed the visions granted by the Keeper. Glimpses of long-lost sects, powerful techniques buried in history, and warriors whose names had been erased by time flashed before him. Among them, a single name stood out—the Azure Sky Sect. Unlike the other sects that had faded into legend, rumors still spoke of remnants hidden deep within Murim's uncharted territories.

"If I can find them, I might learn the truth behind these lost sects and my own destiny."

The journey ahead would be perilous, but he was not without allies. As he approached the foot of the mountain, he spotted a familiar figure waiting by a flickering campfire.

Akari Fujiwara stood with her arms crossed, her crimson hair illuminated by the fire's glow. "Took you long enough," she said, eyeing him up and down. "You look… different."

Ren smirked. "I've been through hell and back. What did I miss?"

Akari tossed him a waterskin. "We had a visitor. Someone looking for you. He didn't seem hostile, but I didn't trust him enough to let him stay."

Ren took a deep drink before raising a brow. "Who was he?"

"A messenger. He left this." Akari handed him a parchment sealed with an unfamiliar insignia—a symbol resembling a coiled dragon.

Ren broke the seal and read the contents. His grip on the parchment tightened.

"To the wandering swordsman who seeks the lost ways—

Your journey has only begun. If you wish to uncover the truth, come to the ruins of the Silent Monastery.

There, the past awaits you."

The Silent Monastery. Another name whispered in the Keeper's visions.

Ren clenched his fist. His path was clear.

"Akari, we're heading out at dawn," he said, eyes burning with resolve. "It's time to uncover the secrets of the past."
