Reigniting the Dragon's Flame(Love)

Chapter 1: CHAPTER 1

"Because of this light one that you chose, I have a whole table of complaints from the fifth detachment of the dark ones!"

Oh, they're complaining about me to Aldric again! It was expected that I, Lysandra, the light support mage, the fragile blonde, would be the one complaining. And crying. But it's the other way around.

But in the Hall of Menders, when I chose the dark immortal dragon Aldric, famous for his enormous magical powers, bad temper, uncompromising nature, and cruelty, instead of the baron, who had his eye on something other than my magical abilities, they even made bets on how soon I would run away back. And how quickly they would deprive me of the official title of a representative of the Hall of Menders for failure to fulfill my duties. But I did not run away. And I even enjoyed life and work in the border territory of Thornvale under the management of Aldric.

It's nice to break stereotypes and destroy other people's expectations. It warms the heart.

"And what did she do?" Aldric did not hide his sincere interest. "The sweet light one to a whole squad of fighting dark mages and swordsmen?"

"Sweet?" Aldric's interlocutor practically spat out the word. How come he didn't choke on his own poison? Of course I'm sweet when I'm treated sweetly. "She's done a lot."

"She's bright, Raven, she never screams, she never loses her temper, and she can't even hit anyone—she'll get hurt herself. And I doubt that anyone would get hurt by her blow—our teenagers are stronger than her. All she can do is bless."

"Well, so… she blessed it!" Raven cursed.

"Oh, really? Who?"

"Everyone in the fifth squad," he growled.

"There are several dozen people there. She has become much stronger than before," Aldric noted. "And you really are not standing still, Ms. Lysandra. An impressive leap in strength. Perhaps you would like to come in? It is somehow impolite to stand near the door and eavesdrop on someone else's conversation when they do not even suspect your presence."

"But you know, don't you, Lord Aldric?" I replied, entering the familiar spacious office. "So I simply didn't notify your interlocutor of my presence."

Aldric sat at his desk, running his hand through his thick dark hair. His hair would make the balding baron I had miraculously avoided working for envious. And Aldric's appearance would make every man I had ever seen envious: jet-black hair, a handsome, masculine face, and a great figure. If it weren't for his heavy aura due to his overly strong magic, there would have been no end of girls. However, as a fair-skinned person, I neutralized it, so I didn't feel any discomfort from communicating with him.

"Well, Ms. Lysandra, please tell us who you blessed and how," Aldric asked, surprisingly politely. "And why is this blessing causing so many complaints from Raven?"

"I don't know why there are so many complaints," I answered, looking them in the eye honestly. "I tried my best to help the noble dark mages from the fifth squad. And you know how my blessing works. If a person doesn't wish for something, I won't be able to give him any… gift."

Almost any light mage with my type of power could be sent to the other world by the magical rollback for this. And it must be admitted that no one was in a hurry to go there.

"Really? Tell me more."

He's having fun, right? However, it was extremely interesting for me to "bless" this squad.

"Of course. It all started when the squad leader came to me and asked me to heal a small injury. And then he offered me to help him improve his personal life…"

"I understand that personally?"

"To him personally, and to his squad indirectly." I shrugged. "They asked for the contacts of pretty healers. Well, that's it…"

"Did they bless him to improve his personal life?" Aldric's eyebrows shot up.

"Not at all, I'm not very good at such things. I asked him why he needed a well-organized personal life, and he answered that because of its absence, he lacks the energy to work. He has absolutely no inspiration. And then he explained that his entire squad had this problem. And all the dark mages who were standing nearby and eavesdropping on the conversation confirmed this. Well, and…"

"So what?" Raven said angrily.

"She blessed me to be inspired by work in such a way that I didn't want any personal life," I finished, smiling.

"And…"

"And in three days they redid all their work, filled out reports, both for their own squads and for others, took away work from cooks, maids, grooms," Raven growled. "An elite combat squad of dark mages, who carried out the most difficult tasks, took on impossible missions—do you know what they were doing three days ago? Cleaning stables, scrubbing floors, and baking pies!"

"So that's why there were so many complaints about the food," Aldric chuckled.

"And so many poisonings," I added.
