Chapter 25: Chapter 13 The Good Show in the Car 2_1
Ou Chengtian took off his coat and draped it over Xia Liyou's shoulders from behind Wei Xuefeng. There was an underlying fury in his eyes, waiting to be unleashed.
"Who did this to her?" Ou Chengtian asked as soon as he opened his mouth, there was no friendliness in his tone, only blame.
Wei Xuefeng shrugged, "I don't know either, she went to the restroom and came out looking like this."
Ou Chengtian's eyes turned darker with anger, he glared at Wei Xuefeng and nudged his chin upwards.
Wei Xuefeng immediately understood, Ou Chengtian was demanding him to find out who was responsible.
Ou Chengtian was a friend but when angry, he was known to not even acknowledge his own relatives, let alone his best friend whom he had known since childhood.
Wei Xuefeng was actually planning to go back, after all, there were countless beauties waiting for him in the Imperial City above. He wasn't willing to leave just like that, but since Ou Chengtian now had something for him to do, he might as well oblige.
So, Wei Xuefeng nodded at Ou Chengtian, turned around and entered the Imperial City Hotel.
With no one in sight, Xia Liyou was completely exposed in front of Ou Chengtian.
She kept her gaze lowered towards her own toes. Her white, transparent crystal sandals made her feet look exceptionally fair. Her toes, slightly curved, looked lively and cute.
She could not take her eyes off them.
Her hands clasped in front of her, seemingly casual, but it was intentional.
Because in this way, when her hands nervously fidgeted, they wouldn't be noticed.
The night wind was chilly, making her shiver.
Ou Chengtian pulled Xia Liyou into his arms, then led her into his imposing Rolls-Royce.
This car was specially crafted for him, its pure black color gave off an exquisite texture.
It was the only one of its kind in the world.
The exterior of the car was his own design, inspired by an offhand comment from Xia Liyou.
However, when he drove this unique car to pick her up, her face displayed no emotion as she stared at him in silence.
This made Ou Chengtian consider crashing the car, the only reason he didn't was because upon entering the room, he had noticed Xia Liyou sneak a glance at the car, her eyes harboring a fleeting admiration.
Although it vanished quickly, he caught sight of it.
As a result, the idea of crashing the car vanished, and whenever he went to pick her up or take her somewhere, he would drive this car.
Xia Liyou got into the car without uttering a word, quiet as a lifeless object.
Ou Chengtian started the car and drove away from the Imperial City Hotel.
Xia Liyou found it strange that from the moment he saw her up until now, Ou Chengtian had not spoken a single word to her. The two were seated in this confined space in complete silence, the air was simply suffocating.
It was only when a sudden brake was applied that Xia Liyou lifted her head to look outside.
They were in a small grove, the surroundings were dark and nothing outside was discernible.
Xia Liyou felt an unusually eerie sense of calm.
She wondered, did Ou Chengtian intentionally bring her here?
Her heart constricted with a sense of foreboding.
Ou Chengtian's gaze landed on her slender hand, tightly clutching a white handkerchief. It made her seem nervous.
But this handkerchief, he seemed to have seen it somewhere.
"Whose handkerchief is this?" Ou Chengtian asked in a deep voice.
Xia Liyou glanced down at the handkerchief, now crumpled from her squeezing it. She swallowed, hesitating before she replied, "It's Wei Xuefeng's. He lent it to me to dry my hair."
As soon as she finished speaking, Ou Chengtian snatched the handkerchief from her hand and threw it out of the car window.
Xia Liyou, surprised by his actions, was left in shock for a long while.
"Why did you go there?" Ou Chengtian finally broke the silence, his voice revealing a hint of dissatisfaction.
The question Xia Liyou feared was inevitably asked.
She had been wondering why Ou Chengtian hadn't asked her before. Turns out, he was planning to interrogate her in such a secluded place.
Did this mean that if she didn't give a satisfying answer, she might be abandoned right there?
She didn't want such a horrifying thing to happen.
Xia Liyou cautiously inspected her surroundings. Apart from the faint lighting, she was unable to see clearly what lay in the darkness around her.
