Refuse to Marry Mr.CEO

Chapter 2: Chapter 1 Who Dares to Bully His Woman_2

Ai Wei knew she didn't want to worry her, so with a sigh of resignation, she didn't press the matter.

"You've finished your scenes for today, let me take you home." Ai Wei said in a soft voice, afraid that a loud one would startle her.

In truth, Xia Liyou was not a weak girl. On the contrary, she was very strong, stronger than anyone else. But every time Ai Wei faced her, she would unconsciously suppress her hot-tempered temperament and speak to her gently.

"No need, I can take a taxi myself." Xia Liyou politely declined. No one could change her mind once she had made a decision. Therefore, Ai Wei didn't insist, and simply said, "Then let me walk you out to catch a taxi."

Xia Liyou nodded, about to start walking, when she saw two women pass her by.

"Ah, look at this, it's Ou Chengtian, the CEO of Ounuo Group." A woman in white exclaimed excitedly, her eyes fixed on the newspaper in her hand as if trying to bore a hole through it.

The woman next to her in blue, after hearing the voice, also turned her attention to the newspaper, immediately getting excited, "That's true! It's Ou Chengtian. My God, he's so handsome. How can there be such a handsome man in this world? And not only that, he's rich. He is simply perfect."

"Look at you, your mouth is almost watering. If Ou Chengtian were standing in front of you right now, you'd probably throw yourself at him," the woman in white mocked.

The woman in blue flicked her black curls flirtatiously, "What's wrong with it? Ou Chengtian isn't married yet. Even if I really did throw myself at him, it wouldn't be out of the question."

The woman in white didn't respond to the blue-dressed woman's self-delusions, instead curiously asking, "Considering how handsome Ou Chengtian is, why hasn't he gotten married yet?"

"Fool, how many women would be good enough for such an outstanding man? They're probably few and far between. And if his standards are a bit higher, it'd be perfectly normal for him not to be interested in women," the blue-dressed woman rolled her eyes.

The two women laughed and gossiped as they distance between them increased.

Xia Liyou paused for a moment, her expression a bit unnatural.

She didn't expect that Ou Chengtian would be seen as such a perfect man in the eyes of others.

Indeed, he enjoyed playing the part of a great guy in front of others.

"Liyou, what's wrong? Why are you zoning out?" Ai Wei nudged her, wondering why she had suddenly drifted off.

Xia Liyou came back to her senses and gave Ai Wei a smile. "Nothing, let's go."

Although Ai Wei was a little curious, she didn't ask further. She figured it was because Xia Liyou was too tired today, so she lead her out of the film set to hail a taxi.

The taxi slowly stopped in front of a relatively dilapidated building. This building was clearly old, an old-style mansion.

Xia Liyou opened her wallet and glanced at the meter on the taxi, inwardly cursing her luck.

She fumbled around in her bag and only found the coins she had gotten from taking public transport the day before yesterday.

She sighed. If it weren't for the lack of buses this late, she wouldn't have needed to take a taxi.

"Miss, are you Xia Liyou?" The driver unexpectedly turned around and asked nervously.

Xia Liyou looked up with alertness in her shining eyes and bit her lip.

Seeing her tense expression and silence, the driver quickly explained with a smile, "My wife is a big fan of yours. She asked me if I could get your autograph."

As he spoke, the driver scratched his head shyly, appearing very innocent.

Seeing that he meant no harm, Xia Liyou breathed a sigh of relief.

After signing her name elegantly on the paper the driver handed her, she handed the money over, awkwardly saying, "I'm sorry, I forgot to bring more money with me today. You wait a moment, and I'll go and get it for you."

The driver laughed, generously saying, "No need, it's not much difference anyway. It's my good luck that I had the opportunity to drive you today."

A trace of joy flashed across Xia Liyou's face — not because she didn't have to pay the remaining fare, but because she thought the driver was a nice person. His wife must be very happy.

Getting out of the taxi, Xia Liyou thanked the driver profusely before departing.

Watching her exquisite figure recede, the driver smacked his lips and said to himself, "How does such a beautiful woman end up living in such a dilapidated apartment? Ah... She must be one of those good-natured women who hasn't been taken advantage of by directors."

A further 500 metres beyond the old apartment was Y City's most exclusive residential area, Imperial View Estates. Those who lived here were usually big shots in the business world or important government officials.

Of course, places like these are generally not their main homes, but their second homes, hidden away for their secret loves.

Xia Liyou would not directly taxi to Imperial View estates, but instead get dropped off at the old mansion before walking the rest of the way.

No one would expect that Xia Liyou, who couldn't even afford the taxi fare, would be living in such a luxurious villa.

Dragging her tired body, she input the code in the outside electronic lock, and the door automatically opened.

The housekeeper, who had just come out of the kitchen, quickly came forward to take her bag when she saw Xia Liyou's return, respectfully saying, "Madam, the master is back."

The movement Xia Liyou made to put down her bag froze for a moment, an unnatural look flashed through her eyes, but quickly returned to normal, "Understood."

"Have you eaten, Madam? I'm making the master's supper."

It was the housekeeper's reminder that made Xia Liyou remember that she had not eaten all day.
