Refining the Dao into Godhood: A Tale of the Jie Sect

After collecting the Wind and Thunder Immortal Peach and the Nine Heavens Breath Soil, as well as numerous spiritual medicines and immortal grasses, Xuanqing did not linger and directly rode the sword light back to Kunlun Mountain.

Having significant treasures on him, he naturally had to be more cautious. If he carelessly exposed his movements, he might unavoidably invite trouble and karmic consequences.

After all, even being a disciple of a Saint is not all-powerful; in the vastness of the Primordial realm, there are those who, lured by benefit, might hazard risks as cultivators.

But upon his return to Kunlun Mountain, Xuanqing was no longer low-key. Just as he reached the threshold of the Shangqing Hall, he loudly called out, "Teacher, your disciple has returned from treasure hunting!"

Tongtian Sect Master, hearing this, scolded with a laugh, "Such a hurry and flurry, what kind of image does that present?"

"Yes!"

Xuanqing quickly nodded his head.

It was only because the Tongtian Sect Master was carefree and not particular about trifles that Xuanqing dared to be so unrestrained. In front of Taiching and Yuan Shi, he was always extremely respectful.

"Have you reached Golden Immortal Perfection?"

Tongtian Sect Master surveyed Xuanqing for a moment, showing a hint of surprise: "You have perfected your Golden Immortal Dao Fruit? It looks like your journey down the mountain was quite fruitful!"

Upon hearing this, Xuanqing immediately took out the Wind and Thunder Immortal Peach and respectfully said, "Teacher, not only that! On this trip, I also found a Top Grade Innate Spirit Root, which can be used to secure our Jie Sect's luck and destiny!"

The Green Duckweed Sword could secure luck and destiny, and so could the Primordial Chaos horsetail whisk he acquired from the Treasure Dividing Rock, but of course, neither compared to an Innate Treasure!

Naturally, he was delighted that his disciple, with a heart for the Jie Sect, would firstly think of the sect's luck and his teacher upon finding a Top Grade Innate Spirit Root instead of his own self-interest.

Xuanqing, hearing this, quickly interjected, "Teacher, this is a token of your disciple's sincerity, please accept it! The teachings of the Jie Sect make no distinction among those who learn, and surely won't just accept this bit from a disciple! Right now, the Green Duckweed Sword suffices to secure luck, but what about the future? Even though the Wind and Thunder Immortal Peach might not be an Innate Treasure, it can still secure the luck of a hundred or so people!"

If quality doesn't suffice, then make up with quantity—that was Xuanqing's thought. If one Top Grade Innate Spiritual Treasure isn't enough, then find several treasures that can secure luck and destiny!

This was exactly what the Western Sect did!

Those two didn't have Innate Treasures either, but they had the Twelve Grade Merit Golden Lotus, Eight Treasures Merit Pool, Six Roots Pure Bamboo, and the Seven Treasures Marvel Tree that could secure luck and destiny.

The former two were Treasure Medicines of merit, while the latter two were Innate Spiritual Treasures refined from one of the ten Top Grade Innate Spirit Roots, Geng Metal Bodhi, and the Seven Emotions Bamboo.

With a flip of his palm, ripples appeared from the void, with faint sounds of thunder, and a hammer-shaped Innate Spiritual Treasure, entirely crimson-purple with forty-eight Innate Restrictions, appeared before Xuanqing.

This treasure's power is boundless, and it even contains the essence of the Innate Thunder Great Dao, capable of manifesting the Purple Cloud Divine Thunder. It complements you exceedingly well!"

Xuanqing was overjoyed upon hearing this and immediately accepted the Purple Lightning Hammer with both hands, bowing respectfully, "A gift from an elder cannot be declined. I express my deepest gratitude to my teacher for bestowing this treasure upon me!"

The Purple Lightning Hammer!

A Top Grade Innate Spiritual Treasure with forty-eight Innate Restrictions, it can be considered one of the finest Innate Spiritual Treasures in the Primordial realm, second only to the Innate Treasures!

Such a Spiritual Treasure, even for Tongtian Sect Master, known as 'Lingbao Tianzun', exists in limited numbers in his hands. Xuanqing immediately performed a respectful bow and then slowly exited the Shangqing Hall, heading towards Daoist Duobao's abode to return the Golden Radiance Crown.

What is borrowed must be returned, making future borrowings no issue!

At least before his promotion to Daluo, the Golden Radiance Crown, capable of hiding one's aura and figure, would prove very useful when he descended the mountain.

Soon, he saw Daoist Duobao, not only returning the Golden Radiance Crown but also offering some Immortal Stones containing the power of Wind and Thunder for artifact refinement.

He knew that Daoist Duobao enjoyed artifact refining and was not one to turn down any material for it, especially Immortal Gold Divine Stones that contained the essence of the Dao.

Having bid farewell to Duobao, Xuanqing did not immediately return to his abode for seclusion; instead, he presented some of the Immortal Stones and Treasure Medicine he had acquired during his journey to Jin Ling Saint Mother, Wudang Saint Mother, Zhao Gongming, and the Three Xiaos as gifts.

Considering the relationship between the Chan Sect and his own sect, he even sent gifts to the future "True Man of Three No's," one of the Twelve Golden Immortals - the True Man Huanglong and Lingbao Great Master.

For the Twelve Golden Immortals at present, these treasures might hold some value, but once they ascend to Daluo in the future, they will become utterly trivial!

It's the thought behind the gift that counts.

After all these deeds, Xuanqing returned to his abode, to seclude himself for cultivation, to comprehend the Taiyi Dao, and to refine the Innate Restrictions on the Purple Lightning Hammer.
