Redemption Of The Yandere Villain

Chapter 100: Reset...

"I'm here, what do you want to say?"

Eugene stood in front of Arkiton, facing him as if he were a stranger. While Arkiton had anticipated this reaction, there lingered a palpable sense of loss as he gazed upon his son, the one he had once abandoned.

"I wanted to make it clear, why I did something I know would never be forgiven."

"Say it"

Eugene's expression remained unreadable.

"I love your father so much. It's the kind of love that I wanted to keep your father hidden, out of touch to the outside."

Eugene's expression darkened upon hearing this, even though he had a grasp on how people can be mentally ill in this world. After all, he can't deny he also becomes ambitious and paranoid. It's nothing new to the point such a feeling became normal.

"When I first met your father, I already knew he was supposed to be mine. So, I did everything to make him like me. I went to the extent of pretending to be good, just so he would lower his guard around me. And I succeeded; your father fell in love with me, and we both loved each other."

Arkiton chuckled, his gaze fixed on the ground. While his expression softened when talking about their love, the madness in his eyes couldn't be concealed.

"However, my love for your father was seen as a burden by your grandfather, as he wanted me to take a woman who could give birth to an heir, something I didn't want." Arkiton released a heavy sigh, his eyes filled with coldness as he recalled the past.

"Your grandfather couldn't accept your father, to the point where he started to interfere with our relationship, causing everything I had worked hard for to disappear. That's when I began to plan how to kill your grandfather so I could be with your father."

Eugene's eyelashes trembled, but he maintained his composure.

In his five lifetimes in Artha, Eugene had no knowledge of this grandfather of his. All records of the former duke had disappeared after death. Now, he realized it was likely his father who destroyed those records as a form of revenge.

"But while I was planning, your grandfather managed to sever my relationship with your father, leading to Aison's marriage with that woman. Filled with anger and thinking that your father had betrayed me and couldn't fight for our love, I married a woman from a traitor's family. It was not only to get back at your father but also to exact revenge on your grandfather."

Arkiton gritted his teeth.

If given the chance repeatedly, he would still make the same decision of killing his father. Again and again, if it meant keeping Aison by his side forever.

"After my marriage, all I could think about was your father's betrayal and that woman's existence. I couldn't get a good night's sleep, tormented by the thought that your father was sharing a bed with another woman. It drove me to the point where I considered assassinating your father's wife. However, every time I attempted it, your grandfather thwarted my plans. To make matters worse, that woman's family was influential, and it took me years to weaken the Bliastiva Family and corner the viscount who doted on his daughter so much." Arkiton laughed manically as he recounted his actions.

"All I wanted is to be with Aison."

Eugene's heart began to race. Despite having some knowledge of this part from reading his father's life record, hearing the entire scenario from the mastermind himself invoked a different set of emotions.

"But, since I had yet to produce any heir after my marriage, I didn't expect your grandfather to plot against me. He drugged me so I would sleep with Krishna and impregnate her. Your grandfather succeeded because Krishna is fertile; she immediately conceived Zevi. All I could do was hide that child's existence. However, it didn't take long for the news of Celisha's pregnancy to make me realize that it was a well-laid plan by my father to utterly crush my hopes."

Eugene let out a "Ha!" sound and laugh.

"So, Zevi and my brother Euric are the product of a mistake, and I and Casimin are the product of your revenge. Am I right in identifying that?"

Arkiton looked at his son in surprise but couldn't bring himself to disagree.

"What about my youngest siblings? What are they born for? Hmm?"

Eugene asked, his tone filled with mockery.

"Let's say you and father loved each other, but due to countless misunderstandings, that love turned to hatred. But on what grounds do you consider yourself qualified to take revenge?" Eugene questioned, his tone probing.

"Out of selfishness, you created an existence that the heavens prohibited."

Eugene bit his lips, his face showing unpleasantness.

"First, a mistake; second, revenge, and the third, for redemption, right? You feel remorse not for giving away Duchess Krishna's firstborn child but for ruining her life. It's compensation for enduring life with a heartless man like you, enduring countless disrespectful behaviors just to make you feel like you're a better man." Eugene asserted, his words laden with a critical edge.

"But you know what? What you did is just another torture for her to endure."

Eugene added, his words cutting through the air with a sense of condemnation.

Eugene laughed, "Hold on, did you perhaps impregnate her again because you heard that Marchioness Celisha got pregnant?"

Arkiton's face contorted into an ugly expression, embarrassment evident in his features.

Eugene smiles but his smile is so ugly that one would know he's not happy.

"I see, the third child is out of whim."

Eugene sneered.

"It's no wonder you could harm your only daughter because she is nothing, unlike your beloved son who carries the blood of your loved one. It's quite ironic, don't you think? How someone like you still deserves to have children despite all the abuse you inflicted on your wife and children."

"Eugene..."

"I know what you will say so I won't listen to some nonsense."

Eugene clenched his jaw, "Tell me, did you know the consequences of using Vita spell?"

Arkiton gulped and looked at his son in the eyes while slowly nodding his head, "Yes. I know."

"While working on that spell I got a warning from the heavens saying that the world would fall into ruin if I were to create an existence through magic but I didn't listen to them because this world had long been abandoned by the gods, there is nothing in this world but negativity and we are just nothing but an entertainment to the eyes of the heavens."

Arkiton let out a bitter smile.

"Living in this world is torture, even so, I choose to long for that light."

Eugene purses his lips.

"What I wanted to know is your connection with the heavens as the strongest magician living."

Arkiton raised his head and looked at the skies.

"People worship gods thinking of being saved but no one has ever questioned if they really have a love for the mortals."

"What do you mean?"

"I can't answer your question but I wanted to ask you something."

Arkiton averted his gaze and looked at his son coldly saying...

"What are you doing here? It's been a billion years since I sent you away. Why did you come back."

Eugene's pupils dilated as he looked at his father's serious expression.

"W-What do you mean."

"You shouldn't be here. You should wake up."

"Eu--"

"Euge---"

"Eugene!"

Huh? Eugene opened and closed his eyes, only to find Kaizer's face looming over him. "Are you unwell? The ceremony is done we should head back and meet with the Catharis. I told you that I wanted to settle our wedding."

Eugene frowns and looks around. He's in the palace hall.

"Didn't I go out to look for my father?"

Kaizer frowns, "What do you mean? Your parents were already sent away. You said you never want to have anything to do with them, why would you meet them?"

Eugene covered his mouth and started to tremble.

"No way."

Kaizer's eyes darken and he sees that his lover is acting weird. He took Eugene into his arms and asked "What happened? You were just fine earlier did you remember something?"

Eugene hugged Kaizer tightly.

Did he just hallucinate? Did he really not meet with his father?

Eugene suddenly remembered those words and he couldn't help but whimper.

"What are you doing here? It's been a billion years since I sent you away. Why did you come back."

"You shouldn't be here. You should wake up."

What the hell is going on?!

The ceremony is finished but Kaizer didn't stay in the palace for the banquet. Seeing that Eugene is not in the right state he immediately teleports to the grand dukedom and cancels his plans to meet with the Catharis. Katnier noticed Eugene's unstable condition so he pardoned his son and went to visit the Catharis castle with his wife and Khalil instead.

"Eugene..."

Kaizer put Eugene on the bed and kneeled, removing Eugene's shoes.

"Can you tell me what happened?"

Eugene who is in dazed said, "I don't know what's dream and reality anymore."

Kaizer's eyes flickered, "What did you remember?"

"Remember?"

Eugene looked at Kaizer and said, "Why are you asking what I remember? Didn't I recall everything? My life in Artha, in those countless worlds, the gods, Timber, and you. I already know everything. Is there still something to remember?"

Kaizer stood and held Euegne's face.

"Then don't think anymore. Believe what you believe, don't go beyond those thoughts."

Eugene held Kaizer's hand.

"I don't know, I don't know anymore. I'm so confu--- hmm."

Eugene widened his eyes as Kaizer suddenly kissed him. Despite the myriad thoughts that had occupied his mind earlier, the touch of Kaizer's lips rendered his mind clouded, leaving him unable to think of anything else.

"Hmmm."

Eugene grabs Kaizer's clothes and opens his mouth.

"Ah~ mmnhm."

Kaizer held onto Eugene's neck, a desperate desire to claim him entirely evident in his actions. Fearing that Eugene might vanish once again, an overwhelming sense of dread consumed him. In an attempt to secure Eugene and reassure himself, Kaizer tightened his grip, emphasizing that Eugene wouldn't be able to escape unless he permitted it.

"Hmmm!"

Eugene hit Kaizer's chest, he could hardly breathe.

In response, Kaizer only pushed him onto the bed, not pulling out his tongue. Eugene was so drowned with kisses that his eyes rolled back while trying hard to catch his breath.

After twenty minutes, Kaizer let go and stared at Eugene's open mouth and stuck out tongue, clearly gasping hard. The view made Kaizer satisfied as he licked his lips like a hungry wolf. He chuckled and grabbed Eugene's long silver hair and said, "Your hair became long, it's really good to be in god form when horny."

After saying that, Kaizer also transformed into his god form and pulled Eugene to his embrace.

In their godly forms, the stark contrast between Kaizer's rough, brown skin and Eugene's fair, tender complexion became even more apparent. The image was further intensified by the sight of Kaizer's black wings enveloping Eugene's body, a deliberate act to conceal the fallen angel he had captured.

Kaizer raised Eugene's chin and licked Eugene's cheek.

"I truly desire to impregnate you, but I can only do so after dealing with the heavens. After all, I also don't want our children to suffer."

Eugene's eyelashes tremble.

He slowly regained his senses and felt Kaizer's tongue sticking in his body.

Eugene raises his hand and touches Kaizer's large dark wings.

Today, he is not in the mood to argue. He just feels so exhausted that he lets Kaizer control his body while still thinking of what his father said. He wanted to believe that everything was a reality and that the moment of having a talk with his father really happened and was not a hallucination or a dream. But if he really wanted to believe that then there must be something deeper that happened for his father to be saying things like that.

He said he should wake up.

That he wasn't supposed to be here.

That he had sent him away and it's been a billion years.

What's the truth and where's the lie?

"Kaizer..."

Kaizer hummed and grabbed Eugene's face, having another deep kiss.

Eugene whose mouth was covered stared at the ceiling, lost in thought. He's wondering if it's fine for him to turn a blind eye to everything because it's just too tiring to care.

It's too tiring to...

live in this world.

Ah...

"You shouldn't be here. You should wake up."

Maybe, this lifetime is also not for him.
