Record of a Commoner Who Defied Common Sense

They studied till the school was about to be closed. When they went out of the school it was pitch dark in the sky but streets werebustling.

It was around 8:00pm. It was late for students, so they decided to went home. 'Xiao Tian' usually goes home by walking so it is was not a problem.

But for 'Li Ling', such a beautiful girl he stayed behind for some time. Although school would provide protection as long as they were near or inside the school but they were already outside the school. So he was little worried for her.

"why have you not left?" 'Ling Ling' was confused.

"Ehh! you have not left so how can i??" he spoke lightly.

Her heart bloomed for some reason. There was a beautiful warm shine on her face. "Are you a knight in shining armor, here to protect the princess?"

"what knight??" he asked curiously sratching his. He didn't have much time for fantasies, so he knew nothing about this kind of thing.

"che! Boring" she spat out.

"Ehh!" he was confused. He was exclaming but instantly got surprised after what came.

"But that's what i like about you" she has seen much in the society. Men only flaunt in front of her for her status and beauty. It's not about rich or poor.Even the poor disappointed her; most of them gave up too easily. But 'Xiao Tian' is no like that in her eyes. Although he is has little confidence, he does not give up easily and is very good and innocent, Untainted. She just likes him.

"thank you!" he was very happy with her for her complement.

"idiot" came twice at same time.

"ha?" he was surprised.what was that for?

She was watching her watch from time to time and started to frown a little.

"how about I walk you home?" seeing this. he spoke hurriedly.

"really?" 'Li Ling'

"yes"

She was really happy now and her heart started to beat a little and her face became a little red.

"will it not be late for you?"

"no! there is only grandma at my homee. Must be resting!! By now" he spoke lightly. He knew his grandma very well. She has been taking care of him since he was a small kid. And she is also old. "I am telling lets go to your home"" is there a problem or you don't like it?" she rolled her eyes at him.

"No! No!"He tried to refuse, but a bit of sweat had already formed on his forehead.

After all, someone had just said they wanted to come to his home—and that someone was a beautiful girl. and a girl has never visited home before except the one in his memories.

"then?" she asked

"it's.. a little shabby" he spoke little hesitantly.

"oh!!"" Do you take me for the kind of person who looks down on others?" she glared at him.

"no! no! no!" he was about to say 'May Be' but they were struck on his throat and he denied.He knew her well. she was not like that.

"let's go then!" she was very happy but also a little shy for some reason.

he noticed that and curiously asked "what are you embarassed about?" he didn't have much interaction with girls in his life so he didn't understand them properly.

"you fool" she pinched him heavily on his waist.

"ahh!" he screamed in pain. "why did you do that?" he asked growling in pain.

"do you want another?" she glared at him angrily.

"no!" he went down.

"let's go"

"ok" and they departed towards his house.

They were walking towards his house. 'Xiao Tian's hourse can be considered neither far or near. It takes nearly 30min if walked at normal speed. And up to 1 hour if you took a detour. but they were taking more time compared to normal as they were walking and there was a awkward atmosphere between them.

Xiao Tian wanted to take a taxi home, but he didn't have any money—she had to pay for it.

But more than that, he hesitated.What would she think about taking a taxi?She might feel uncomfortable... or even offended.

After all, she was a young lady from a prestigious family—a proper missy.

As they were walking, they passed the streets and they were nearing suburbs area. There were narrow lanes which was the the only path or otherwise they had to take large detour. And it will consume time. Grandma was waiting for him at him and there was a beautifull girl next to him. it was already late.

As they neared the suburbs, Li Ling seemed a little uneasy.

Maybe… she didn't like this kind of place.Or maybe—it was the thought of Xiao Tian living here that unsettled her.

"are you ok?" 'Xiao Tian' already noticed that and was concerned about her.

"I .. am… ok" she spoke lightly.

"Let's go," she said, and they began walking at a steady pace.

Xiao Tian was amazed.I walk like this every day, so I'm used to it… but her?

She was a rich young lady, not someone used to walking long distances—yet she didn't seem tired at all.

It's a bit far, after all, he thought, glancing at her in quiet admiration.

Chao necklace lit up and inside his head,

Don't treat her like just some rich family miss.She has a lot more than that.She is not like you. A loser.

Master Yun's disdain resonated sharply.

Hearing loser, 'Xiao Tian' froze, unsure how to respond. Truth stung, and he stayed silent.

"Ehh! Master, what does that mean?" he finally asked aloud, voice wavering.

"you are not qualified to know that yet"" I wanted to ask you somet…" but she suddenly stopped.

"what is it master?"

"it's danger outside. Some people are following you. Run away" 'Yun' spoke in a little harsh tone and 'Xiao Tian' was forced out.

He unconsciously took hold of 'Li Ling's' hand.

"you! Leave my hand" she was taken surprised so she blushed lightly. So she tried to take back her hands but facing that pincer like male hands she could not anything. If tried properly she can but she didn't for some reason.

He was gripping her hand tightly and he stood on in front of her like a shield. She was feeling the warmth of security coming from him but she suddenly felt something was not right.

"Xiao Tian is some one following us?" she has many experiences so her strong intuition told her that something was not quite right.

"yep!" he lightly told.

Soon few hooglians popped up. Each of them had knifes on their hands. And their faces were filled with lust. There were total 7 of them and they surrounded them.

"who are you?" 'Xiao Tian' shouted. He knew that hooglians may show up as this is a narrow lane and close to suberbs but did not expect them to really show up at this time

"hehhe! Boy why talk!. Just leave the girl and scram" they spoke in disdain. 'Li Ling' was boiling in anger. This hooglians were treating 'Xiao Tian' like nothing and were eying her with lust. How can she not be angry.

She was about to act… but a flicker of hesitation stopped her.Her hand hovered mid-air—poised to strike—but she pulled back. She can easily clean them if she took action. But The possibility of revealing her true fighting abilities in front of Xiao Tian gnawed at her. Family rules were clear: never expose your skills to a commoner, especially an innocent one. He could become an enemy if he knew too much.

He must stay in the dark…

Her breath hitched. The room felt tighter now, charged with unspoken tension.

But she felt a strong wall as guarding her.

"no!" he spoke firmly.

"is that so! We have to make you scram" on of them made a move against him.

Chaos Necklace started to light up. Inside his brain,

"brat run! You are not a match for them now!!"" they are very close to martial artist." 'Yun' spoke hurry.

"what martial artist?" he was confused.

"now is not the time for this. I will explain later"" just run" 'Yun' was not in the mood of idle talk.

"no!" 'Xiao Tian'

"what???" 'Yun' was angry.

"Master, I may be a loser, but I won't run," he thought, his resolve hardening.I've never run before—not in the past, and I won't in the future.

"What use is running? Even if I can't defeat them, fleeing would be pointless. They'd catch me anyway and 'Li Ling' may..." He spoke lightly.

"you! Fool!!" 'Yun' was very angry. What kind of idiot was he?

'She...' she wanted to say somehthing but outside, on of the 7 hooglians already made his way towards him with a knife. Although they usually don't kill anyone but if they kill they have a Strong supporter to rescue them. They give their lives for the supporter. So of course they protect this group. This is their daily routine. Who knows how many have innocent girls have fallen for them.

He was little taken back when the hooglian came in front of him. 'Li Ling' got anxious. She was about to take action no matter the consequences. She could not see 'Xiao Tian' getting hurt but something amazing happened.

*blinking speed* 'Xiao Tian' vanished for a second. He came in front of the hooglian come towards him. "what?" the hooglian was shocked. Hooglians were strong than 'Xiao Tian' but they only had raw strength. They did not learn any techniques. So they could not see 'Xiao Tian'.with him using 'Blinking Speed'. A common movement technique in front of 'Yun'. Although not mastered to perfection But more than sufficient for this hooglians and this is also more than what can 'Xiao Tian'can cope now.

He clenched his fist.

His right hand went slightly backward and *blinking speed*. 'Xiao Tian' applied blinking speed on his hand. His hand was super fast. His hand was moving towards the lower abdomen of the hoodlian. It was very fast and could not be seen. Just before the hand reached the hooglian

*power punch* a gust of wind flowed on 'Xiao Tian's' hand and a powerful punch was hit on the hooglian's lower abdomen.

"ahh!!" hooglian took few steps back and fell on his knees due to pain on his abdomen

*shh* everyone wentsilent. 'Li Ling' was surprised. She knew that this was not just some luck or coincidence . is he the same 'Xiao Tian' she knew?
