reborn to be a farmer

chapter 1: On my way home

Paul was walking home practically dragging his body. One step and another with what felt like the weight of the world. Paul had just got back from the gym and it was leg day, he hated leg day “just a few more steps to go and I would be home”. He opened the door of his apartment, it wasn't much but it was more than nothing. He lunged for the couch and laid down “I can't fall asleep yet,I just need to eat, shower, and read up on why people think price fixing will work”. Even his thoughts felt like they were moving through molten lead, when trying to set up the air itself was an obstacle to his grand ambition of making it to the kitchen to get last night lasagna “I mean didn't roman try that and failed”. He given one last try to stand up his leg started shaking so violently that he thought “Is there an earthquake” “maybe a short nap wouldn't hurt”.

The sun at high noon woke Paul up from his nap? When he looked around he found that he wasn't in is apartment, he saw a lake and grass “Did I fall asleep at the park again, no no I haven't done that since I was 17, i’m pretty sure I fell asleep in my apartment” standing up to get a closer look at the lake he felt a pain and fell down on his butt with a crash, him being 6ft and 200lb didn't help at all.

Looking to where he heard the footsteps he found that there were 10-15 greenish looking humans that were walking, no running at him with full force. They were holding crudely put together spears in their hands. Paul finally standing up and making a run for it “are those goblins, don't tell me i've been isekai” but as he was running he felt a sharp pain in his back, his heart started racing as fast as it had done that time he broke his mom’s window and his dad chased him around the block. On the forest line there was a tree with low enough branches to grab on to, as he ran giving it his all, his legs started to feel like overcooked spaghetti strings , his pacing began to slow

and with that he was hit thrice more and felt a hot viscous liquid accompanied with the scent of iron. Paul thought to himself “those things weren't even that big, maybe half my size and less than that my weight, I feel cold. Paul's eyes begin to feel heavier than they were the night before, but it wasn't his eyes that fell first, Paul's legs that had been replaced with lead stones by some nefarious wizard because they sure did feel like it, gave up on him.

As he was falling he looked to his right and saw a figure of a human maybe?!
