Chapter 866 - 860: An Hao's Worries_1

Chapter 866: Chapter 860: An Hao’s Worries_1

The issue of the second child remained unresolved until Qin Xue’s death. Yet, Qin Xue knew that there were several reasons why such a phenomenon of children leaving home could occur. One was that parents were overly indulgent with the eldest child, another was that the parents, because the second child was too young, inevitably devoted more attention to the second child and neglected the eldest. Moreover, there was the possible factor of favoring sons over daughters.

So, if a family cannot maintain a balance with many children, it is best not to have too many. At times, having too many can actually become a source of concern.

“Okay, then I’ll go make a phone call. Otherwise, my fault would be letting a life perish.” After hearing Qin Xue’s words, An Hao decided to call home through Xiao Qi. She heard from her grandmother that her mother, now pregnant, was taking leave from work for prenatal care.

“Go ahead, but don’t be too anxious, okay? You have to manage your mood. Don’t risk harming the baby,” Qin Xue instructed An Hao, concerned about her health.

“All right, I understand.” An Hao was grateful for Qin Xue. After talking with her every time she felt down, she was able to come to terms with a lot of things. She no longer needed to keep herself under such pressure.

“Well, I’ll wait for you to come for dinner. If Xiao Qi is around, ask him to join us for dinner.” Qin Xue casually added.

...

“Okay.” An Hao agreed and left.

“Master, why did An Hao leave?” Xue Ling, who had come over to pour water for the children but had not been there before, asked Qin Xue as she observed An Hao’s departure.

“She’s just overthinking.” Qin Xue replied, explaining An Hao’s situation to Xue Ling. Her goal was to ask Xue Ling to help keep an eye on An Hao’s emotional fluctuation.

“I see. I was wondering why she came to our house. Turns out she’s here to escape,” Xue Ling remarked.

I wonder how humans think. Instead of seeking to resolve problems, they prefer to run away from them. Can that be good? It’s hardly possible. Won’t unresolved problems still remain?

“Xue Ling, everyone’s experiences and personalities are different. Just like me, you know about all the nonsense in my family, right? What could I do? It’s a good thing I grew up with my grandparents, otherwise, I really don’t know what I would be today, whether to complain about the unfairness of the world or to live in negativity every day. But I certainly wouldn’t be as carefree and happy as I am now.

If I hadn’t met Chenchen and Yingying, perhaps I would be worse off than An Hao now.” Qin Xue understood Xue Ling’s meaning after hearing her words: everyone has their own thoughts, and as outsiders, they haven’t experienced what others have. They have no understanding of how others live.

Many people in this world appear to be happy on the surface, but they suffer intensely behind closed doors. What for? Nothing more than not wanting to reveal their worst sides to others.

“Yes, you’re right about everything, okay? Honestly, human thought is too complex for someone from the immortals like me to understand.” Xue Ling waved her head and said, leaving the kitchen.

“What a guy, hasn’t he heard the saying that the human heart is the most complicated thing in the world?” Qin Xue thought to herself. The human heart really is incredibly complex, especially for those with a lot of cunning. They may be trapped anywhere, anytime. So one should always remain guarded to avoid unnecessary harm.
