Chapter 1988: Asked Ye Xuan for Help
"Luckily, Ye Xuan is here to help me now, so I had the chance to come back. Otherwise, I wouldn't have known when I'd be able to return. Nangong Beiying left, and Feng and the others should have known, but they didn't even mention it. It seems your sisters have taught them well." Chu Molin thought about how none of them showed any odd behavior when visiting the research institute.
Chu Molin admired them for being so composed, wishing his group could do the same.
Not everyone can achieve this, and for her friend to have such loyal followers, it's truly her good fortune.
Chu Molin also wanted to nurture such talents, which led to Feng and the others helping him with training. Otherwise, not just anyone could enter that place easily.
"Hmm, I thought of that too; otherwise, we wouldn't have found out just now. Does this count as you being lazy?" Qin Xue smiled at Chu Molin, surprised at his behavior.
"I'm on leave." Chu Molin used to prioritize work over everything, but now he wanted to put his family first. Work could be done gradually, but family moments are not daily occurrences.
If he didn't spend more time with his family, the kids would grow up without him, missing out on the joy of accompanying them through their growth.
"Well, perhaps you're the only one who could take a vacation on the first day of work." Qin Xue didn't expect Chu Molin to use this excuse to respond to her.
"Aren't you sleepy?" Chu Molin looked at his energetic wife, wondering how late it was.
"Go to sleep, you have work tomorrow." Qin Xue truly felt no drowsiness but, thinking of Chu Molin having to rise before dawn to go to the institute, she felt tired.
"Alright." Chu Molin closed his book, agreeing with Qin Xue.
"By the way, Chu Molin, after visiting Xiao Qi's company tomorrow, I'll see if I can buy you a bicycle. It'll be more convenient for you to commute." Qin Xue thought it would be better to buy him a bicycle; otherwise, getting around would be inconvenient.
"Do we still have money at home?" Chu Molin never managed finances, so he didn't know whether they could afford a bike now.
"Don't worry, we have." Qin Xue smiled; she always kept some funds for emergencies at home. Although she spent a large sum on a house, there was still some for turnover. She was never irresponsible.
"Alright, buy it then." Since Qin Xue said they have money, Chu Molin believed her.
"Does that mean whatever I say goes?" Qin Xue was curious why he trusted her so much.
"As long as it's legal, you can say or do anything." Chu Molin didn't mean for his wife to do anything bad. He believed her happiness mattered most, so he didn't mind whatever she chose to do.
Looking at his wife's expression, why did he feel it was somewhat odd? Was it wrong to trust her?
"Okay, I guessed your response." It was just as she thought; this man spoiled her too much, fearing it might turn her into a pampered brat.
"Is it not good?" Chu Molin thought he hadn't said anything bad, just showing kindness.
"No, just afraid of being spoiled to the point of helplessness." Qin Xue felt that if a woman had a man who truly loved her, her life wouldn't require much effort, just enjoyment every day.
