Chapter 201: Chapter 201
The Ninja World was in an uproar.
The events from the Land of Rain had barely begun spreading when the shocking news from the Kirigakure frontlines rippled outwards.
Two earth-shaking reports spread from two different battlefields, plunging the entire Ninja World into stunned disbelief.
Those who had just come to terms with the events in the Land of Rain were blindsided by the surrender of Kirigakure.
Everywhere in the Ninja World, the name Mochizuki Hui dominated conversations. His deeds were spoken of in utter awe and admiration, turning him into a living legend.
Nowhere was this fervour more evident than in Hui's homeland—Konoha.
…
The streets of Konoha were alive with celebration. The village felt as if it were in the middle of a grand festival, with bustling crowds, lively chatter, and colorful decorations hanging everywhere.
Homemade banners and flags fluttered in the breeze, crafted by villagers to welcome home their heroes.
"Watch out! Here comes my Rasenshuriken!"
In the streets, a group of children played ninja, laughing and shouting. One boy lunged at another, pretending to unleash the technique.
"Hah! I've got Wind Wings—I'll fly away!" another child declared, spreading his arms like wings.
"Then I'll use Divine Judgement to shoot you out of the sky!" a third child yelled, mimicking the hand seals for the legendary jutsu.
From the sidelines, Nawaki Senju, who was strolling by, smirked and muttered, "Divine Judgement doesn't even require hand seals."
Despite his offhand comment, there was no hiding the pride in his tone.
"Wow, Nawaki! You're so lucky to have Mochizuki Hui as your brother-in-law. I wish my sister was dating someone like him!"
A boy walking beside Nawaki spoke with envy.
"Yeah! Too bad I don't even have a sister," another boy chimed in, looking genuinely crestfallen for the first time about the lack of an older sibling.
The small group of children around Nawaki were all his classmates, just four or five years old, who recently enrolled in the Ninja Academy.
Hui's relationship with Tsunade was well-known in Konoha, making Nawaki's connection to Hui no secret either.
With Hui's fame skyrocketing after leading Konoha to victory in the war and earning the title of Demi-God of the Ninja World, he had become a household name in the village.
His feats were recounted in detail by everyone, from seasoned shinobi to villagers, with an almost mythic reverence.
For the younger generation, Hui wasn't just a hero—he was an idol. He was the figure they all aspired to become.
As Nawaki's connection to Hui became common knowledge, he found himself basking in the reflected glory, becoming a focus of admiration among his peers at the academy.
"Nawaki, don't forget to get me an autograph from Hui-sama! I have to have one!"
One child tugged at Nawaki's sleeve as they prepared to part ways for the day, his eyes brimming with expectation.
"Alright, alright, leave it to me!" Nawaki said with a confident grin, thumping his chest.
"Don't forget mine!"
"And mine! I want one too!"
"No, I want two! My sister wants one too!"
"I want four! My sisters and mom all want Hui-sama's autograph!"
The barrage of requests left Nawaki's smile frozen in place.
How many autographs is this now?!
"Uh… Let's head home quickly! It's getting late!" he said, changing the subject and quickening his pace to escape the barrage.
"Nawaki, don't forget our autographs!"
The cries behind him only made him walk faster.
But his escape was futile. A horde of children swarmed around him, demanding Hui's autograph with inexhaustible enthusiasm.
The commotion caught the attention of passersby, who stopped to watch.
Upon learning the reason for the fuss, some adults were tempted to join in and "reserve" an autograph for themselves. Ultimately, though, they refrained, unwilling to compete with children.
Some clever parents, however, encouraged their kids to join the fray, swelling the crowd around Nawaki.
Within moments, the scene was packed, with people jostling for space.
…
"What's going on here? Clear the way!"
A cool, authoritative voice cut through the noise. The crowd parted instinctively, falling silent as three teenagers emerged.
They were two boys and one girl, all around fifteen or sixteen years old.
What drew everyone's attention was the crest emblazoned on their sleeves—the Uchiha clan emblem.
As members of Konoha Police Force, the Uchiha carried an air of authority, even at a young age.
Their presence alone commanded respect, though the boys carried themselves with an aloofness that bordered on arrogance, while the girl looked more reserved.
Despite their youth, their inclusion in the police force marked them as prodigies.
However, their presence here was partly due to the Uchiha clan's adult members being heavily deployed during the war.
The two Uchiha boys glanced at the crowd with a faint smirk, their postures exuding pride.
The girl, on the other hand, frowned slightly, a hint of worry in her expression.
As tension rose between the crowd and the Uchiha, the girl stepped forward, her voice cutting through the silence.
"What's going on here?" she asked, her tone calm.
The crowd hesitated, then someone responded defiantly, "We're just asking Nawaki to get us Hui-sama's autograph! Is that a crime now? The Uchiha can't interfere with something like this!"
The pointed remark made the two Uchiha boys bristle with anger, their expressions hardening.
The girl, however, brightened. "You're Nawaki Senju, Tsunade-sama's younger brother, aren't you?"
"Yeah. So what?" Nawaki replied warily, his guard up.
"Ah, nothing. I completely understand why everyone wants Hui-sama's autograph, but causing a scene here isn't ideal.
"Please, everyone, disperse to avoid blocking the streets. Let's work together to make this easier for everyone, okay?"
Her gentle words surprised the crowd, who quickly realized the truth in her reasoning.
Reluctantly, they began to disperse, casting one last longing glance at Nawaki.
Once the crowd had cleared, the girl turned to Nawaki, her eyes sparkling.
"Nawaki, please get me Hui-sama's autograph as well! A signed photo would be even better!"
Her earnest plea, paired with her puppy-dog eyes, left Nawaki dumbfounded.
"Uh… sure," he agreed without thinking.
"And us too!"
The two Uchiha boys chimed in, looking just as hopeful.
Nawaki stared at them, his mind reeling as one thought looped endlessly.
Even the Uchiha clan are Hui's fans?!
