Reborn In Dragon Ball World As Goten With Ultra Instinct Power

Chapter 203: Chapter 203: God Of Destruction Beerus? Probably A Weak God Like Supreme Kai

Goku: "Vegeta, it seems like this is serious."

(Goku said, his expression turning grave.)

Goku: "I've never heard Lord King Kai speak so seriously before. This 'God of Destruction Beerus' must be an incredibly powerful being."

(Goku trusted King Kai's judgment.)

(If the usually lighthearted Kai was this concerned, the situation had to be dire.)

Vegeta: "God of Destruction Beerus?"

(Vegeta repeated, his arms crossed and his trademark smirk plastered on his face.)

Vegeta: "Kakarot, have you ever heard that name before? I haven't. It sounds like some kind of god, but if he's anything like Supreme Kai, he's probably just another weakling."

(Vegeta's arrogance was on full display.)

(He had never heard of Beerus and assumed the God of Destruction was no different from Supreme Kai—a figure he considered unimpressive.)

Goten [in mind]: 'Huh? What's going on?'

(Goten thought to himself, observing Vegeta's reaction.)

Goten [in mind]: 'Does Vegeta in this timeline not know about Beerus? He doesn't seem to recognize the name at all.'

(In the original Dragon Ball Super timeline, Vegeta had encountered Beerus as a child and carried a deep-seated fear of the God of Destruction.)

(Even if he didn't remember the details, the name alone would have triggered some subconscious unease.)

(But here, Vegeta showed no such reaction.)

Goten [in mind]: 'This timeline really is completely different from Dragon Ball Super.'

(Goten realized.)

Goten [in mind]: 'Vegeta has no memory of Beerus at all.'

(Despite the differences, Goten felt a sense of anticipation.)

(Among all the Gods of Destruction, Beerus was the only one he didn't dislike.)

(In fact, he felt a sense of gratitude toward the cat-like deity.)

(If it weren't for Beerus and Supreme Kai sacrificing themselves to save him, he might still be trapped in the void—or worse, dead at the hands of Zeno and the Grand Priest.)

Goku: "How would I know, Vegeta?"

(Goku replied, scratching his head.)

Goku: "You're the Prince of all Saiyans. If you've never heard of Beerus, I definitely haven't."

(Goku's tone was casual, but his curiosity was evident.)

(He had never encountered a being referred to as the "God of Destruction," and he assumed Beerus might be similar to Supreme Kai—a god who, while respected, wasn't particularly strong.)

(After all, Supreme Kai had been terrified of Majin Buu, a foe Goku and Vegeta had easily handled.)

(If Beerus was anything like Supreme Kai, there was nothing to worry about.)

(The group quickly dismissed King Kai's warning and returned to the festivities.)

(Chi-Chi approached Goten, her curiosity piqued by the young man who looked so much like her son.)

Chi-Chi: "So, you're really Goten from another timeline?"

(she asked, her tone a mix of warmth and concern.)

(Goten nodded, feeling a rare sense of comfort in her presence.)

(Despite being in a different timeline, the bond between mother and son felt just as strong.)

(As the party continued, Goten couldn't help but think about his own timeline.)

(He missed his wife Videl, his son Zen, and the life he had built in the Dragon Ball GT universe.)

(The dimensional explosion had separated him from everything he held dear, and he was determined to find a way back.)

(But for now, his dimensional portal ability was unusable.)

(He was stuck in this timeline, at least until he could figure out a solution.)

(Just as the party was in full swing, the sound of rushing air caught everyone's attention.)

(Two figures appeared before Goku and Vegeta—Supreme Kai Shin and Kibito.)

Goku: "Yo! Lord Supreme Kai, you made it!"

(Goku greeted them warmly.)

Goku: "I didn't expect you to come to Bulma's birthday party."

(But Shin and Kibito's expressions were anything but celebratory.)

(Their faces were stern, their eyes filled with urgency.)

Shin: "Goku, Vegeta, we're not here to celebrate Bulma's birthday."

(Shin said, his tone grave and urgent.)

Shin: "We came to Earth for something far more important."

(The seriousness in Supreme Kai's voice was unmistakable.)

(Whatever he was about to say carried the weight of the universe itself.)

(One misstep, and the consequences could be catastrophic.)

Goku: "Huh? Something important?"

(Goku asked, tilting his head in confusion.)

Goku: "What's going on? Didn't Majin Buu turn good already?"

(Vegeta, standing nearby, seemed to have an idea of what Supreme Kai was about to say.)

(He assumed it was the same warning King Kai had given earlier.)

(But Vegeta dismissed it outright.)

(In his mind, no being in the universe could rival him and Goku.)

Shin: "Goku, this isn't about Majin Buu."

(Shin replied, his expression darkening.)

Shin: "I believe King Kai has already mentioned Lord Beerus, the God of Destruction."

Goku: "Oh, yeah, King Kai did say something about that."

(Goku said, scratching his head.)

Goku: "But Vegeta and I figured Beerus is probably just another god, like you, Lord Supreme Kai. Nothing to worry about, right?"

(Goku's tone was casual, almost dismissive.)

(To him and Vegeta, Supreme Kai was a respected figure but not particularly strong.)

(If Beerus was similar, there was no reason to be concerned.)

Shin: "You're completely wrong, Goku."

(Shin said, his voice sharp with urgency.)

Shin: "Lord Beerus is nothing like us Supreme Kai. He's the God of Destruction, tasked with maintaining balance by annihilating entire universes. His power is on a completely different level. He can erase the universe with a mere thought. Compared to him, we Supreme Kai are utterly insignificant."

(Supreme Kai's words were meant to shock Goku and Vegeta into understanding the gravity of the situation.)

(But Vegeta, as always, was unimpressed.)

Vegeta: "Tch! Stop with the theatrics."

(Vegeta sneered, crossing his arms.)

Vegeta: "So what if he's stronger than you? Kakarot and I are already way stronger than you. And destroying a universe? We could do that too if we wanted. We just choose not to."

(Vegeta's arrogance was infuriating.)

(He refused to believe that any being could surpass him and Goku.)

Shin: "Vegeta, you're being incredibly foolish!"

(Shin snapped, his patience wearing thin.)

Shin: "Yes, you and Goku are strong, but destroying a universe through brute force is nothing compared to what Beerus can do. He wields the power of destruction itself. A single flick of his finger, and the universe ceases to exist. Do you really think you can compare to that?"

(Supreme Kai's frustration was palpable.)

(He knew Goku and Vegeta were powerful, but their overconfidence was blinding them to the truth.)

Vegeta: "Hey! Watch your mouth."

(Vegeta growled, his eyes narrowing.)

Vegeta: "Call me stupid again, and I'll make you regret it."

(Supreme Kai flinched slightly.)

(He knew Vegeta wasn't bluffing.)

(The Saiyan prince had the power to back up his threats.)

Goku: "Alright, alright, let's all calm down."

(Goku interjected, stepping between them.)

Goku: "Vegeta, you're being a bit too harsh. And Lord Supreme Kai, I get that you're worried, but don't stress too much. No matter how strong this Beerus guy is, Vegeta and I can handle him."

(Goku's attempt to mediate did little to ease Supreme Kai's frustration.)

(The Supreme Kai sighed, realizing that reasoning with Goku and Vegeta was like talking to a brick wall.)

(If the ancestor didn't ask him to tell them, he didn't want to talk to Vegeta at all.)
