Chapter 200: Battle Ends, Jumping Timeline
By now, Zeno and Zalama had exhausted nearly all their energy. They knew this was a life-or-death battle. The next energy spheres they unleashed would determine their fate.
If they lost to Goten, death was certain. But if they gained the upper hand in this energy clash—or better yet, killed Goten outright—then at least one of them could survive and claim dominion over the dimensional universe.
With everything on the line, both gods poured every ounce of their strength into their attacks.
"Goten, I'll send you to join the Grand Priest!" Zeno roared, his voice filled with rage. "You'll pay for everything you've done!"
With that, Zeno hurled his multicolored energy sphere directly at Goten.
"Hahaha! This dimensional universe will belong to me, Zalama!" the Dragon God cackled madly.
"Today, I'll destroy you all!"
Zalama's dark energy sphere followed immediately, hurtling toward Goten with terrifying speed.
In their minds, the odds of defeating Goten by joining forces were over 90%. No matter how strong he was, facing the two most powerful beings in existence, he stood no chance.
"You really don't know when to quit, do you?" Goten sneered, his voice dripping with disdain. "Is this what the so-called supreme gods of the multiverse are capable of? I'm almost disappointed. You can't even sense the gap between us, yet here you are, boasting like fools."
With a flick of his wrists, Goten launched his own energy spheres—one mimicking Zeno's erasure power, the other a manifestation of his own rule energy—straight toward the two gods.
Boom! Boom!
The moment the four energy spheres collided, Goten quickly sent Bardock, Goku, Hearts, and Vegeta back to the Dragon Ball GT dimension. He knew the resulting explosion would be catastrophic, potentially destroying countless multiverses. Even he could only protect himself, unable to shield the others.
Boom! Boom!
A blinding explosion erupted, sending shockwaves rippling through countless universes. The sheer force of the collision swallowed Zeno and Zalama whole, their bodies disintegrating in the overwhelming light.
"Ahhhh!!!"
Their agonized screams echoed briefly before being silenced forever.
As the shockwaves continued to ravage the multiverse, Goten waved his hand, summoning a dimensional portal. Without hesitation, he stepped through, disappearing just as the destruction reached its peak.
This time, his escape was random. There was no time to carefully choose a destination. Simply surviving the aftermath was a victory in itself.
The collision's shockwaves caused countless universes and dimensional spaces to collapse. Zeno, Zalama, the Gods of Destruction, and the Angels—all were obliterated in the cataclysm.
Meanwhile, in the dimensional void, Goten couldn't help but feel a pang of guilt.
"I'm truly sorry to everyone in this timeline," he murmured, gazing into the endless void. "I never meant to drag you into this. But to completely eliminate Zeno and Zalama, this was the only way. I'll do everything in my power to find a way to restore you all."
With a heavy heart, Goten vanished once more, reappearing in another parallel timeline—one untouched by the destruction.
"This… this is Earth in the Seventh Universe," Goten muttered, taking in his surroundings. "That familiar feeling… it must have drawn me here."
As he focused, he sensed the presence of Zeno and the Grand Priest in this timeline.
"Interesting. What are those two up to in this world?" Goten wondered aloud.
He could also feel the energy signatures of Goku, Vegeta, and the Gods of Destruction.
"It seems there's another drama unfolding here," Goten said with a faint smile.
But his smile quickly faded as worry crept in. He had no idea what had become of the Dragon Ball GT timeline. His wife Videl, his son Zen, and all his loved ones were there. He needed to find a way back—fast.
[T/N: Gozen sounds awful, Zen i will stick with.]
However, when Goten tried to summon a dimensional portal, nothing happened.
"What's going on? Why can't I summon the portal anymore?" he muttered, his expression darkening. "This can't be happening. How am I supposed to get back now?"
Panic set in as he realized his dimensional teleportation ability was gone. The very power that had allowed him to traverse timelines at will had vanished.
Desperately, Goten checked his other abilities. To his relief, his strength and rule powers remained intact.
"At least my strength hasn't weakened," he said, trying to reassure himself. "Even in this timeline, I'm still invincible. I'll just have to stay here for now and figure out a way back."
Goten took a deep breath, calming his nerves. Since this was a Dragon Ball timeline, it likely had Super Dragon Balls. If he could find them, perhaps he could wish himself back to the Dragon Ball GT timeline.
"First things first," Goten said, his resolve hardening. "I need to locate the Super Dragon Balls. If I can make a wish to Super Shenron, I might be able to return home."
