NOVEL WEB Chapter 194: Zeno's Desperation
'Da-Damn it, why is my strength disappearing so fast? This bastard is absorbing my power! How is this possible? How the hell is he doing this?'
The Grand Priest's face was filled with panic as he felt his power rapidly draining away. Although he had been completely defeated by Goten, he hadn't considered it the end. After all, Zeno hadn't made his move yet. The outcome of this war was still uncertain.
But now, with his power being absorbed bit by bit, the Grand Priest was truly terrified. His strength was fading too quickly. If this continued, all of his divine energy would be drained, and even Zeno might not be able to save him.
"Damn mortal! Let me go!" the Grand Priest screamed hysterically, his voice filled with panic. As his energy continued to drain, his vitality was fading as well. Once all his divine energy was gone, his fate would be sealed.
Goten, however, seemed deaf to the Grand Priest's desperate cries. The Angels, sensing the Grand Priest's rapidly weakening aura, wanted to intervene, but Bardock and Broly stood in their way. Although the Angels were powerful, Bardock and Broly were now strong enough to hold them back, even if they couldn't defeat them outright.
"Ah… Zeno-sama," the Grand Priest muttered, placing all his hopes on the Omni King. His own children were useless now. The Angels' power wasn't enough to save him from Goten. Only Zeno could intervene.
"Are you still counting on that dwarf to save you?" Goten said coldly, crushing the Grand Priest's hopes. "Your way of thinking is naive—ridiculously naive. Do you really think he can save you now? To be honest, he can't even protect himself."
If this had been before, Zeno might have been the Supreme God of the universe with no one to contest his authority. But now, Goten wasn't afraid of Zeno's erasure ability. No one could save the Grand Priest today.
On the other side, Zeno's two guards looked grim. A sense of unease filled their hearts. They knew that if the Grand Priest was killed, they would be next.
"Lord Zeno, why haven't you made your move yet?" one of the guards urged. "If you wait any longer, the Grand Priest will be killed. Once that happens, none of us will be able to stop Goten!"
Zeno's expression was equally grim. He turned to Goten and spoke. "Goten, do you realize that killing the Grand Priest will set you on a path of no return? No one will be able to save you. If you stop now, I can forgive everything that's happened. Long ago, the Grand Priest and I discussed making you the Grand God of Destruction in our timeline. If you let him go now, that offer still stands."
Zeno knew better than anyone that he couldn't defeat Goten in his current state. Even if he somehow managed to win, the cost would be devastating. And with Zalama watching from the sidelines, both sides would lose.
"Do you think I'm a three-year-old?" Goten snapped, his anger flaring. "Spouting such stupid, ignorant nonsense! If you had said this at the end of the Tournament of Power, I might have been grateful. But now? It's just a daydream. I won't let the Grand Priest go, and I won't let you go either. I'll bury all of you who see mortal lives as worthless."
Hearing Zeno's hypocritical words only fueled Goten's rage. After being imprisoned for over 70 years, Zeno now wanted to make peace because he realized how powerful Goten had become? It wasn't that easy.

But before Zeno and his guards could celebrate, the light around Goten shattered and vanished without a trace.
"Erase? A good trick," Goten sneered, his voice icy. "But it's useless against me. Do you think I'd declare war on you without a plan?"
