Chapter 20: The Lumine Sword.
- It finally came, the day of going to the academy, the beginning of the story and changing my new life's fate.
- We prepared our carriage and started our journey to the academy.
- A few days ago, after the attack that day I got injured, I pulled out the cursed sword to see if I could make it mine by resisting its manipulation.
- I unsheathed it and held it in my hand and it started its magic but I countered it with holy magic and thanks to my status ailments nullification skill was so high that it was not easy to get manipulated.
- It started to use a lot of magic which started to emit a black aura and a powerful magic started to attack me and tried to manipulate me.
- But thanks to my counterattack every time I finally took control over it and changed its owner to me.
- " State your name master." Sword.
- " What you can talk? I am Leon, you? Leon.
- " I am Lumine and yes I can talk because of my abilities." Lumine.
- " I see then can I ask you? When I looked at your stats you have a change form ability, can you use that? Leon.
- " Yes! I can change to any form my owner wants only for me to see the design of the sword you want." Lumine.
- I pulled out my katana and put it side by side until a black aura again emerged from Lumine and started covering it. In the next second a black-like obsidian katana similar to mine appeared in front of me.
- I picked and instantly fell that it suited me well, the grip and length were perfect and then I changed its scabbard to a appropriate one.
- Back to the present we are still in the carriage sitting there and everyone's guard is up ready to encounter any threats.
- The carriage jolted, a familiar rhythm after days on the winding roads, but my attention was fixed not on the passing scenery of the Ponada Kingdom, but on the unfolding tapestry of my meticulously crafted plan.
- The Aetherwand Academy, or as it was more formally known, the Academy of Wands and Wisdom, was not just a destination; it was a strategic stronghold, a nexus of power and knowledge that I intended to leverage.
- Our arrival at the capital city of Ponada was nothing short of breathtaking. Rose, let out a gasp beside me, a mirror to my own awe. This wasn't just a city; it was a sprawling marvel, a place that made even the grandest metropolises of my previous existence seem quaint.
- The sheer scale was overwhelming. The architecture was a mesmerizing blend of intricate carvings and graceful lines, each structure telling a silent story of centuries of craftsmanship.
- The roads, wide and meticulously paved, hummed with a vibrant energy, a constant flow of carriages, merchants and other people. It was as if the very essence of magic had been woven into the city's foundations, creating an atmosphere unlike anything I had ever experienced.
- It was on a completely different level from the Cities we came from earlier.
- Finally, the carriage slowed, rumbling to a halt before the colossal gates of the Academy. These weren't just gates; they were an imposing edifice, crafted from white metal, intricately etched with arcane symbols that seemed to thrum with a latent power.
- This was it – the very heart of the game's storyline, the destined meeting place of the Protagonist and the Heroine. A shiver of anticipation swelled inside of me.
-As the carriage door creaked open, I made to step out, but then hesitated. "Rose," I said, my voice low, "I have some pressing business to attend to in the capital. I'll need you to go ahead to the academy.
- Her brow furrowed with concern, but she nodded, understanding the unspoken implications of my words. While she would follow the expected path, I had a different route to take, one that required discretion.
- I slipped away, melting into the bustling crowd, employing a subtle stealth spell to render myself all but invisible to casual observation.
- My first priority was reconnaissance. I needed to ensure that the initial stages of the plot were unfolding as anticipated. Rose, the spirited heroine, would undoubtedly have entered the academy by now, her path naturally converging with Allen's, just as the game's narrative dictated.
- My mission was to confirm this, to ensure no unforeseen anomalies had derailed the crucial introductory sequence.
Once satisfied that Rose and Allen had indeed met, and their initial interactions seemed to be proceeding without incident, my focus shifted. I needed to verify the integrity of another other place.
- my Hitoshi Company. One of the main branches is in this capital and I went there to check on them, if there were any missing things or any flaws but after my checking there was nothing missing or flaws in the work.
- With my initial checks complete, a sense of quiet satisfaction settled over me. I returned to the academy,
- carefully dispelling my stealth as I approached the grand entrance. The air inside hummed with a different kind of energy, a vibrant buzz of anticipation.
- The entering ceremony was already underway, the vast hall filled with eager, newly admitted students. My gaze swept across the assembled throng, searching, and then I found them. Rose and Allen, seated together, their heads close as they conversed. A small, almost imperceptible smile touched my lips.
- Seeing them there, seemingly content and utterly unaware of the intricate web of destiny I had spun around them, brought an unexpected sense of relief. Nothing had gone wrong. Not yet, at least. The game was truly afoot.
- From today onwards begins my academy life.
