Chapter 3. Could This Get Any More Outrageous?
The thing Chen Zixuan worried about most still happened—and it was even more outrageous than the previous two times.

Before logging into the game, Chen Zixuan had already read up on the general gameplay of 《Legend of Kaloran》 on the official website.
Still, he never expected the system not only to auto-generate his character and class, but even assign such ridiculously overpowered stats.
That's right, these stats were so broken they could overturn the balance of the entire game.
First, there was the whopping 200 starting HP and Mana.
If the official data hadn't changed, an ordinary player would typically start with 100 in each—Stamina at 50—and his starting values had directly doubled.
That was a terrifying concept. Combined with 10 Physical Defense and 30 Magic Defense, he was already comparable to a minor boss in the starter village.
《Legend of Kaloran》's attack and defense system was simple. Damage dealt was divided into physical, magical, and true damage. Defense was split into physical and magical, and the formulas went like this:
Physical Attack – Physical Defense = Actual Damage Dealt
Magic Attack – Magic Defense = Actual Damage Dealt
True damage, of course, went through all resistances, unmitigated.
The most despair-inducing part: if your attack stat was lower than the enemy's defense, your attacks would only scratch out a maximum of 1 point of damage—sometimes not even enough to outpace their HP regen.
Let's use a simple example to illustrate this attack/defense system.
Suppose, in the starter village, an ordinary player named Zhang San got into a fight with Chen Zixuan. Both agreed to an exciting 1v1 duel.
Without any equipment, with a starting Attack of 15, [Zhang San] struck first, attacking [Cecilia]'s starting Physical Defense of 10, and did 15-10=5 points of physical damage.
Ignoring base HP regen, he would need to smack [Cecilia] 40 more times to take him down.
Meanwhile, [Cecilia]'s starting Attack was 30, and Zhang San's Physical Defense was 0. So one slash from [Cecilia] would deal 30-0=30 points of physical damage.
Again ignoring HP regen, Chen Zixuan would need a mere 3 slashes and 1 punch to KO [Zhang San], giving him a taste of what it meant to be an overpowered player.
And this was just the most basic starting stat!
Already, the power gap was outrageous. Add on the globally unique class, [Vampire Prince], the title 'Noble of the Dark', three special skills, two class talents—it was hard for Chen Zixuan to believe this character had any ceiling at all.
Maybe, this [Cecilia] was about to become the single most powerful character in 《Legend of Kaloran》.
But seriously, what the heck were "Housekeeping" and "Maid Uniform Mastery"? He'd heard of Plate Mastery, Heavy Armor Mastery, and Light Armor Mastery, but was he really supposed to tackle endgame dungeons wearing a maid uniform?!
Chen Zixuan had no idea where to start his complaints. He opened his skill panel to check out these abilities.
He immediately ignored "Housekeeping" and "Maid Uniform Mastery"—he had zero interest in being some virtuous homemaker in the game.
First up was the class talent, 'Blood Banquet', a passive skill.
Skill description: As a noble Vampire, you heal yourself while dealing damage.
Healing equals 20% of your effective damage, and ignores all grievous wound effects.
Chen Zixuan was already numb. This was a healing-oriented passive skill, extremely rare in-game.
Regular players could only recover HP by slowly waiting out of combat or by using expensive potions.
Early on, this chewed up a ton of time and money. But for him—he healed automatically just by fighting, his sustainability boosted not just by a bit, but leaps and bounds.
Especially for early game exploration, this was basically a god-tier skill!
Is it even playable without a nerf?
Oh, this is me we're talking about. Never mind, then.
The other two passives, "Dagger/Short Blade Mastery" and "Blood Magic Mastery," seemed almost ordinary by comparison.
Chen Zixuan looked over them.
Basically, he could fill both the Assassin and Blood Mage roles, with two sets of unique skills—meaning he might be the game's only character with both physical and magical builds.
"Could this get any more outrageous?"
Chen Zixuan muttered with a yawn, resigning himself to reality.
Now that he had a sustainability skill, if only he could get an offensive skill, things would be perfect.
If this account were to go on sale, it could probably fetch several million yuan—after all, in this world, there was never a shortage of rich people.
