Reborn as the celestial God

Chapter 23: Chapter 23: The Birth of a New Era

Kael sat upon the Throne of Eternity.

The air was still, thick with the echoes of the battle that had just taken place. The Tribunal gods who had ruled since the dawn of time were no more.

And now, in the vast expanse of the heavens, only one Sovereign remained.

Him.

The Forgotten Ones knelt before him, warriors who had followed him through the war. Their expressions were unreadable, yet their gazes burned with expectation. They had fought for this. They had died for this.

Now, the question remained—

What came next?

The First Sovereign stepped forward, his crimson armor stained with the divine blood of fallen gods. He studied Kael with something close to amusement.

"You did it," he murmured. "The gods are gone. The Throne is yours. You hold the power that has shaped reality itself."

Kael leaned back, resting his hand on the armrest of the throne. His silver eyes flickered with unreadable emotion.

"And yet," he said, "I feel nothing."

The First Sovereign raised an eyebrow. "Nothing?"

Kael exhaled slowly.

This was what he had fought for. To destroy the old gods. To break the chains of fate. To claim the seat of ultimate power.

And now that he had it the universe felt empty.

Power surged beneath his fingertips, a force beyond imagination. He could erase worlds with a thought, reshape existence with a whisper.

But was that what he truly wanted?

The Forgotten Ones waited for his command.

The cosmos held its breath.

And Kael realized the war was over.

But his purpose?

That was still uncertain.

The star-cloaked woman, who had once been a servant of the Tribunal, stepped forward.

"You have become something greater than the gods, Kael." Her voice was quiet but firm. "So tell us what will you do with that power?"

The question hung in the air.

What would he do?

Would he rule as the Tribunal once had? Would he establish his own empire? Would he remake existence in his image?

Or—

Would he do something else entirely?

Kael's fingers tightened on the throne's armrest. His silver eyes burned.

Then, after a long silence, he finally spoke.

"I will not become what I have destroyed."

The Forgotten Ones stiffened. The First Sovereign's expression shifted, intrigued.

"Then what will you become?" he asked.

Kael stood, the Throne of Eternity crackling beneath his feet.

"Something new."

Power swirled around him the last remnants of the Tribunal's rule.

And in that moment kaelmade his choice.

He raised his hand and he destroyed the Throne.

A shockwave erupted through the heavens as the seat of ultimate power shattered. The divine chains of fate crumbled. The very concept of a ruler above all else ceased to exist.

The Forgotten Ones gasped.

The First Sovereign's eyes widened.

The cosmos trembled.

"You… unmade it?" the star-cloaked woman whispered in disbelief.

Kael's silver eyes burned with something greater than power.

Freedom.

"The era of gods is over," he declared. "From now on, no being will rule over all existence. No fate will be written in stone. The universe will belong to those who dare to shape it themselves."

And with those words he changed everything.

The heavens, once ruled by the Tribunal, began to shift. The chains that had once bound the universe faded into nothing.

The Forgotten Ones looked at each other, uncertain.

"Then… what now?" one of them asked.

Kael turned to them.

"Now?" He smirked. "Now, we live."

No rulers. No gods. No chains.

Only a world where choice was the only true power.

And Kael?

He was finally free.
