Reborn As Noble

Chapter 767: Under the Same Night Sky ( 767 )

While Delya was busy staring dreamily at Javier's face.

Mimi's eyes shifted, Her tail flicked furiously as she glared at one very specific thing.

Her voice rang out, sharp. "All three of you! Monster boobs!!!"

Felicia didn't even flinch. She closed her fan with a snap and gave a serene smile.

"Mm? I hear some cat crying~"

"Nyaaa!!" Mimi puffed her cheeks, stamping her foot.

Liana leaned in slightly, her smirk cutting. "Don't worry, Mimi. I'm sure you'll grow into one soon."

Mimi's face turned red as her ears shot up. "Y-you!!"

Gloria, calm as ever, adjusted her glasses… then deliberately crossed her arms under her chest, making it press and bounce subtly.

"Ara… but considering you're the same age as young master, perhaps we should hope you reach at least a certain level first."

Mimi's tail lashed furiously behind her, her eyes watering.

"Nyaaaa!! You're all bullying me!!"

Felicia's heels clicked softly against the stone as she stepped forward, her posture flawless. Her fan snapped shut with a sharp pah! and came down smartly on both Mimi and Delya's heads.

"Ny—Ow!!" Mimi yelped, rubbing her head.

"Ah—!" Delya winced.

Felicia's serene smile never faltered.

"Act like real young ladies, at the very least. Or have you forgotten… both of you are royals?"

The catgirl hissed under her breath, while Delya shrank back slightly, pressing closer to Javier.

Then, with practiced grace, Felicia shifted her fan to her side. Her free hand lightly touched the hem of her gown as she lowered herself, dipping in a perfectly executed curtsy, the very gesture of royal refinement.

Her silver hair shimmered beneath the moonlight as she lifted her eyes to Javier, calm and steady.

"Javier-sama… it has been so long since we last met. I am truly happy to see you again."

After her graceful curtsy, Felicia rose smoothly. Her eyes lingered on Javier's face for a moment longer than was proper, her fan lowering to her side.

Then, without hesitation, she stepped closer.

The world seemed to still as she reached out, her movements slow, deliberate, and regal. One hand brushed against Javier's sleeve before her arms circled him lightly. She leaned in, her presence gentle but commanding, and pressed her lips to his.

When she pulled back, her voice was soft, but it carried clearly in the quiet night.

"I missed you, Javier-sama."

Javier blinked, caught between surprise and his own lazy composure. Behind him, Mimi's tail puffed like a bottlebrush as she screeched, "NYAAAAA!!!" while Delya froze in wide-eyed shock, her hands tightening around his sleeve.

And just a step behind, Liana and Gloria's faces darkened even further, their sharp glares promising the storm to come.

Felicia lingered after the kiss, her fan resting lightly at her side. Her eyes swept toward Liana and Gloria, meeting their darkened gazes with unshaken composure.

"You both need not glare at me so harshly," she said gracefully, her tone as serene as flowing water.

"It isn't as though this is new. All of us have already shared that bond with Javier-sama, have we not? The only difference is that I have secured my place… as the third wife, with your approval."

Mimi's tail lashed violently, her golden ears twitching in protest.

"Nya!? Third wife!? You say it like it's already written in stone!"

Delya blinked, her dreamy gaze snapping into sharp focus. Her small horns tilted forward as she pressed against Javier's arm. "What!? Don't act like you're ahead of us! We met Javier first! Mimi and I were by his side long before you!"

Mimi stuck out her tongue at Felicia. "That's right! Nya! Just because you act all calm and perfect doesn't mean you win!"

Felicia's fan snapped open with a soft pah! and she hid her smile behind it, tilting her head slightly.

"Then perhaps you should have shown more courage, instead of letting me step forward."

Liana and Gloria stayed silent, their eyes still burning, while Javier rubbed his forehead with a long sigh.

…And here comes the chaos. Again.

"Can you all calm down a bit?" Javier's voice slipped through the tension, calm and steady, yet carrying that subtle charm.

The girls froze mid-argument, their eyes snapping to him.

Javier tilted his head back slightly, his gaze drifting up toward the starry sky.

"Tonight is beautiful. All of you should be enjoying it… not fighting each other over me like this." His lips curved into lazy smile.

"I'm not going anywhere," he continued, voice low and smooth. "And I don't plan on adding another candidate. You all know that."

Mimi's ears twitched, her tail still puffed but her pout softening. Delya loosened her grip, though her cheeks still burned red. Felicia's fan lowered slightly, her composed smile flickering with a trace of warmth.

Javier's eyes softened, a rare seriousness glinting in them as he added.

"So please… all of you. Calm down. Enjoy the night."

He exhaled, his smile returning, calm and charming as ever.

For a moment, silence fell, the weight of his words sinking in.

"Very well… since young master already said that." Liana's voice was calm, composed, her expression softening as she stepped a little closer to Javier's side.

Gloria adjusted her glasses with a delicate touch, a small smile curving her lips.

"If you say so, young master… then I'll hold my peace."

Felicia raised her fan to her lips, her serene eyes reflecting the starlight.

"Indeed… tonight is beautiful. As Javier-sama's wife candidate, I will honor his wish."

Her words carried poise, but also subtle finality, as though drawing a line of dignity between herself and the others.

Mimi and Delya exchanged a glance. Neither spoke, both silently puffing their cheeks, unsatisfied yet unable to oppose Javier directly after his calm command.

Javier smiled calmly, his eyes drifting upward once more. The night sky stretched wide above them, stars scattered like silver dust across velvet.

The breeze stirred gently, brushing past the group. For a moment, even Mimi's twitching tail stilled, and Delya's pout softened. Felicia's fan lowered slightly, her serene eyes following Javier's gaze toward the sky.

Liana and Gloria exchanged a glance, then both relaxed, their expressions easing at the sight of their young master so at ease.

For that brief moment, the bickering, the rivalry, the jealousy.

All of it seemed to fade beneath the quiet glow of the stars.
