Reborn As Noble

Chapter 725: Six Wives and a Warning ( 725 )

"...Young master?" Liana's voice broke the heavy air, soft yet tinged with concern as she noticed Javier just staring at the piece of meat on his plate, untouched.

She leaned forward slightly, her brows knitting together. "Is something bothering you?"

Javier blinked, forcing a smile as he shook his head. "Ah, nothing, Liana… don't worry about it."

But Gloria, who had been quietly watching from his side, tilted her head. "Are you sure, young master? You're not feeling unwell?"

Before he could answer, both Liana and Gloria set down their plates and wrapped their arms around him from each side. Their warmth pressed in close, soft and steady.

Javier's lips curved into a grin, though inside his head his thoughts were far less composed.

Wooo~ my two future wives, with huge boobs, comforting me! Ehehehe… I could get used to this every day.

"Young master…" Liana's voice was gentle, "you're tired, aren't you?"

He chuckled lightly, shaking his head again. "No… don't worry about it, Liana." His gaze shifted to Gloria, his tone steady. "And you too, Gloria. Don't overthink it. Maybe it's just the weight of this war."

Liana and Gloria exchanged a glance, their smiles softening. "Yes… we hope this will end soon," they said almost in unison, their voices filled with quiet hope.

Javier let out a slow breath, leaning into their embrace just for a moment longer before picking up his fork again.

Yeah… once this is over, I'll make sure the only thing they have to worry about… is which side of the bed they want to sleep on.

"Ara~" Gloria's lips curved into a teasing smile as she leaned toward Liana.

"It looks like young master is thinking about something… and it's definitely not about the war, Liana~"

"Oh?" Liana's tone turned sweet, but her eyes narrowed just enough to send a shiver down Javier's spine.

"Is he thinking about another woman again? Hmm? Young master~" she cooed, voice dripping with a dangerous kind of playfulness.

Gloria rose from her seat with deliberate grace, every movement slow and elegant. Then she flexed her hands, the sound echoing in the morning air, her serene and poised expression never wavering.

"Eeekkkk!!!" Javier threw his hands up in surrender. "I'm not!! There's no woman here other than you two!! Come on~ I already stopped doing that!"

"Doing what, young master~?" Liana tilted her head, her smile sweet but her voice a velvet trap.

"Uhh… being handsome and flirty?" he tried, his voice small.

Both Liana and Gloria slowly raised their fists, held just inches from his face.

"We don't care if you're too strong, young master," Liana said, calm and almost cheerful, but with a clear warning. Gloria's eyes softened, even as she kept up the threatening posture. "But when it comes to what's ours…"

"You know what happens when someone messes with us," Gloria finished, her voice smooth as silk but pressing hard enough to make his forehead bead with sweat.

"Y-yep… noted," Javier gulped, glancing from his beautiful elf maid to his equally stunning half-elf maid.

Javier gave them a lopsided grin, trying to act cool.

"I'm already lucky to have both of you… ehehe… I don't need others."

"Yes, yes," Liana said, sweet but with a glint in her eye that warned trouble was coming. "Yet somehow, you've managed to add up to six girls now, including us two."

"Err…" Javier looked for an escape route that didn't exist. "I don't know what you're talking about."

"Ara~ Gloria's smile was graceful, but the dangerous light behind her eyes made his neck stiffen. "Shall I remind you of their names?"

Liana leaned in, resting her chin on her hand as if thinking about a grocery list. "Felicia, Mimi, Delya… and who's the other one, Gloria?"

"My, my… her name is Ferine," Gloria replied smoothly. "Chieftain Gumarak's youngest daughter."

"Uh… can you, err… stop bringing them up?" Javier scratched his cheek nervously. "Ehehe… I don't think… they'd even remember it after four years. Besides, we… don't even know if, once I turn adult… they'd want it or not—"

"Want what, young master?" Liana interrupted with a sweet smile that hid danger.

"Uhh… marriage?" Javier's grin looked forced, a bead of sweat sliding down his temple.

Then his breath caught. Both Gloria and Liana stepped forward in perfect sync, their hands slipping into his hair.

"You don't get to marry anyone else before you marry us," they said together, their voices like velvet-wrapped blades. "Remember that, young master."

"Y-yep… I know," Javier forced a calm smile, but inside every alarm bell was ringing.

Gulp… oh, I am so dead if I mess this up.

Meanwhile, the captured soldiers froze mid-bite, the light mood of breakfast gone from their faces. Everyone sat stiffly, chewing in slow motion, eyes fixed on the stream as if it were the most fascinating thing in the world.

They'd seen battles. They'd seen men torn apart by magic, steel, and beasts. But this—this was different.

Just minutes ago, those two maids had grabbed their captor, a man they already knew was far stronger than their own king, and treated him like a wayward child. No hesitation, no fear, no respect for the danger he represented.

Inside their minds, the same chilling thought echoed.

Crap… if this man is already far stronger than our king… yet these two can grab him like that… how terrifying are they?

One of them risked a glance, and caught Liana's eyes.

The elf maid's glare was cold, sharp, and utterly merciless.

Every soldier snapped their gaze down to the dirt, shoulders hunched, as if the mere act of looking might invite death. Not a single one of them dared raise their head again, their hands shaking as they continued to eat in silence.

Liana's voice cut through the morning air like a blade.

"Eat. Then be ready to move. Everyone goes inside the transport wagon—no exceptions."

Her glare swept over the line of captured soldiers, and every one of them froze mid-motion. They quickly shoveled down the last bites, plates clattering as they set them aside.

One soldier swallowed hard, his throat bobbing as if trying to push down a lump of fear.

"Yes, ma'am!" they barked in unison, backs straight, hands at their sides.

Liana's gaze narrowed, the corners of her mouth curling just enough to tighten their stomachs.

She stepped closer, her eyes narrowing slightly.

"If any of you try to run…" her voice dropped to a low, cold hiss, "…I'm going to crush every single one of you. Starting with the ball."

The air froze. Several men instinctively crossed their legs.

"Yes, ma'am!" they chorused again, voices louder this time, almost desperate to prove compliance.
