Reborn as Luffy The Pirate King's Return

Chapter 25: Chapter 25: Training for the Grand Line

The Going Merry sailed steadily toward Loguetown, the last stop before the Grand Line. The days passed in rigorous training as Luffy drilled his crew in the Marine Six Styles, ensuring they would be strong enough for the challenges ahead.

Luffy stood at the center of the ship's deck, arms crossed as he watched his crew struggle to adapt to their new techniques. "Alright, first we're going to focus on the basics of the Marine Six Styles. You all need to get the fundamentals down before we move on to Observation Haki."

Zoro, Sanji, Nami, and Usopp stood in a line, waiting for instructions.

Soru – Speed Beyond Sight

"Soru is a movement technique that lets you move at high speeds, almost vanishing from sight," Luffy explained. "The trick is to kick off the ground at least ten times in the blink of an eye. Now, try it!"

Zoro gritted his teeth and attempted to move as fast as Luffy had demonstrated, but only managed to skid forward clumsily.

Sanji, more naturally agile, managed short bursts of speed but lacked control.

Nami and Usopp tripped over themselves, landing face-first on the deck.

"You'll get there," Luffy chuckled. "Just keep pushing!"

Geppo – Walking on Air

Next was Geppo, the ability to kick off the air itself.

Sanji took to it the fastest, managing to launch himself a few feet into the air before falling.

Zoro, being a swordsman more grounded in traditional combat, had more difficulty. Nami and Usopp, despite their struggles, showed surprising determination.

Tekkai – The Iron Body

"Tekkai lets you harden your body like iron to withstand powerful blows," Luffy explained before slamming his fist into his own stomach without flinching. "Try to tense your muscles at the right moment."

Zoro immediately took to it, focusing his willpower and managing to take Sanji's kick without flinching.

Nami and Usopp, however, winced in pain every time they attempted to harden their bodies.

"It's okay, you don't need to master everything," Luffy reassured them. "Just get comfortable with the basics."

Rankyaku, Shigan, and Kami-e

Sanji experimented with Rankyaku, attempting to slice the air with a powerful kick. While he couldn't create a cutting wave yet, his kicks were becoming sharper.

Zoro tested out Shigan, a technique where a user thrusts their finger like a bullet, but he preferred his swords.

Nami and Usopp focused on Kami-e, learning to move with fluid agility to avoid attacks.

Evening Training: Observation Haki

After their daytime training in the Marine Six Styles, Luffy shifted their focus to Observation Haki. By evening, he blindfolded his crew and instructed them to dodge incoming attacks using only their instincts.

"If you master this, you'll be able to sense movement, emotions, and even predict an enemy's attacks before they happen," Luffy said as he threw pebbles at them.

Sanji and Zoro reacted the fastest, their natural battle instincts allowing them to dodge some of the attacks.

Usopp struggled, often getting hit square in the forehead.

Nami, surprisingly, adapted quickly. Her sharp intuition helped her react to incoming strikes.

After a week and a half, Nami had learned the basics of Observation Haki.

Luffy's Promise

One evening, as the crew sat on the deck recovering from their training, Nami wiped sweat from her brow and sighed. "This is exhausting. I don't even fight! Why am I doing this?"

Luffy smirked. "Because if you learn Observation Haki, I'll take you to an island of gold."

Nami's eyes widened, and suddenly she was more motivated than ever. "You should have led with that!"

The rest of the crew chuckled as the Going Merry approached the familiar sight of Loguetown's towering buildings on the horizon.

"Alright, everyone," Luffy grinned. "We're almost there. Get ready."
