SICK GREG.
OVER THIRTY CHAPTERS ON THE PATREON ARE AVAILABLE TO READ!
Three weeks before he had a game of basketball with his best friend Alex, and he decided against hacking that person.
"What's going on Freddy? You look stressed." Amy said softly behind the ears of a brooding Fred.
Amy hugged Fred from behind, only wearing his sky blue corporate shirt that appeared oversized for her since it looked like a short gown for her. The duo were on the balcony overlooking a busy city below them in an apartment complex. The warm lights of the sitting room opposite them cast its ambience on the couple as they observed the starry sky above them, ignoring the bustle and hustle below.
"Come on, babe, you can confide in me. Here, I made your favourite coffee—milk, sugar, chocolate, and no coffee beans, haha!" Amy chuckled behind his ear as she carefully slid a mug of beverage that had a heart sign on it to her boyfriend.
"Thanks. You don't have to worry, just thinking about something I said I wouldn't do but recently started feeling like I should just go back to it." Fred chuckled softly as he accepted his hot beverage.
"Hmm, is it work-related?" Amy inquired, wrapping her arms snugly around Fred and leaning her head against his back.
"Not really, just some weird hobby of mine in the past that I stopped." Fred answered after taking a sip from his mug.
"Oh, do you need me to help you with something?" Amy asked as ran her hands along his exposed chest, feeling his chest hairs that had grown again just weeks after his recent wax.
"No, this isn't something that you can… WOMAN, I don't mean that! You deserve a bonk for that!" Fred said after realising what his girlfriend meant and gently chopped her head causing little strands of blonde hair to scatter.
"Oof, c'mon, nothing is too weird for me… within reason!" Amy said with a giggle while protecting her head.
"Ah, alright, let's get to bed." Fred said as he got up and finished his beverage.
"Oh, yes. Let's explore this weird hobby of yours." Amy giggled once more.
"That's it, go to the naughty corner." Fred joked as he shooed her away.
"Yes, daddy!" Amy replied enthusiastically.
Amy soon went to bed since she could see that Fred needed some time alone. Alone on the bed, Amy's smile soon changed to that of a frown as she recalled some things she wished she could have changed.
Turning to her phone on the bed she saw a text that made her frown even more.
Fred walked into a room he designated for work and got down to business. It was time to get this off his chest, he had already set a penalty for himself in case what he was about to check was nothing related to the disturbance in his soul and would give more than half of his salary to hospital charities.
Closing the door behind him and hanging a WORKING SIGN at the front door knob to let Amy know he wouldn't like to be disturbed at the moment. Ever since they had started dating, Amy understood that there were times Fred would need a space to zone in on his remote jobs and suggested a workspace for him.
Going into his closet and plugging in his gadgets to aid him in what he was about to do, he took a deep breath and got to work.
When last did I use this for what I am about to do? Fred thought to himself as he booted his Kali Linux operating system on his desktop computer. The gadgets he plugged in would help him reach servers and networks that were miles away from his location, signal jammers, and other equipment Fred would like to keep to himself.
After connecting to the network servers he needed to connect in minutes he braced himself as he remembered the professor he used to look up to. He never expected that his professor was the type to help some government officials get into certain places that they shouldn't be getting into and covering their tracks. Normally that would be considered a commissioned work, but in this case, they were tampering with monies that belonged to the hardworking class of society and their pensions.
After he saw that, he vowed he would stop looking into people because he was often always disappointed. Now he had access to his targets, he quickly washed away those memories with a firm resolve. All he had to do now was split the screen to check on his targets at the same time and get his info.
Fred's eyes widened as he saw emails, texts and videos he thought he would never believe to be true even if you showed him. On the left side of his screen were the emails, texts and videos sent and received by a fellow coworker. He knew this coworker, Greg would always commend him on every job done and render help whenever needed. But, he didn't know the dark side of Greg. Greg had a mask that he put up in public and one he wore whenever he was alone. He couldn't believe Greg was capable of such treachery!
Apparently, Greg had been observing Fred's lifestyle for quite a while and was envious of it. He decided to destroy Fred from the inside. On a cool evening, Greg carried out his plan by kidnapping and drugging Amy and Alex and threatened them with photographic and video evidence when they were overly inhibited. Greg continued to enjoy his sick game but soon met his end two months after in a heart attack incident. His cholesterol levels were through the roof, it was only a matter of time.
That would have been great if it all ended there but, Alex began to develop an acquired taste for Amy. Somehow, Alex was able to get his hands on the incriminating material Greg once had and used them dishonourably. All of this information shocked Fred a bit, but his heart was used to losing people close to him whether it was by death or something else. It's not that Fred is cold and unfeeling but rather almost numb.
Meanwhile, Amy had already written a note and placed it on the bed, its contents revealing the truth that Fred had just discovered. She loved Fred too much to see him suffer pain so she decided to handle things alone. Amy reported the case to the authorities while identifying herself as an anonymous caller but left a pile of evidence in a designated location for the authorities. Breathing in the scent of Fred's pillow and shirt, she steeled herself and left the apartment silently.
Alex would pay but she had to leave to let Fred heal. The authorities would reach Alex's place before she arrived airport.
"May you live well and be strong! I know you would want to try to comfort me but above all else, I didn't want to come in between you and your only friend, although it's useless now… I am sorry… I… can't!" Amy said as she hung up her phone. She didn't have the courage to call or face him as she left a recorded message.
