Inside the Pizza Shack in the commercial district.

"Customer… here are the thirty-six pizzas you ordered!" The staff at the counter couldn’t hide her astonishment. It was her first time witnessing someone purchase such an absurd number of pizzas.

"Yes, thank you." Yaeger nodded calmly, effortlessly lifting four massive bags of pizzas from the counter before striding out.

Once outside, Yaeger slipped into a quiet alley. With a light push off the ground, she levitated effortlessly into the air, landing gracefully on the rooftop. She set the bags of pizzas down beside her.

Scanning her surroundings, Yaeger noticed the rooftop was already crowded with numerous takeaway bags piled up in heaps. KFC, McDonald’s, Burger Queen, and more—all the nearby fast-food joints had clearly been visited by her.

"I just need a few more desserts, and that should do it," she muttered to herself.

Yaeger approached the edge of the rooftop and peered down at the bustling street below. Her brows furrowed slightly in confusion. "Something feels off about this street… no, it’s the people lurking around," she murmured.

Her gaze landed on a man in a black suit standing nearby. He looked conspicuously out of place, holding a newspaper that barely concealed his face. "PT zero-one reporting. The target is not found," the man whispered to himself.

Further down the street, a young man dressed like a student sat in a café, glancing around nervously as though searching for someone. "PT zero-two reporting. The target is not found," he muttered under his breath.

Near a towering skyscraper adjacent to the commercial street, a man disguised as a hobo rummaged through a garbage bin. Yet, his sharp, darting eyes betrayed his act as they scanned the area meticulously.

"Strange… someone spotted her here yesterday. How have we not found her after an entire day of watching?" he muttered, withdrawing his hands from the bin in frustration.

All these suspicious individuals, including the faux hobo, were operatives of the Lin Family. Their sole mission in this district was to locate their elusive target—[Princess].

"If we don’t find her soon, the second young master will definitely lose his temper," the hobo muttered with a deep frown.

Just then, a crackling voice came through his Bluetooth earpiece.

"PT nine reporting! We’ve spotted someone matching the target’s description. Location: Unit 101 on Commercial Street, the [Path of Bao] store. She’s buying an unusual amount of desserts! Requesting immediate reinforcements!"

"PT zero-zero to all units: converge at [Path of Bao] immediately!" the faux hobo barked into his comms, his voice brimming with excitement. Though they couldn’t yet confirm if she was the target, his instincts told him the dessert-buying girl was almost certainly [Princess].

After all, the rumors were clear—[Princess] had an insatiable love for food!

Standing at the entrance of [Path of Bao], a girl dressed in a black cropped top, white sweatpants, Abidas sneakers, and a black baseball cap adjusted her massive sunglasses, which obscured half of her lovely face.

She was none other than Yaeger.

"I’ll take twenty baskets of steamed pork dumplings, ten glutinous rice chicken, ten ribs, ten carrot cakes, ten custard buns, twenty prawn dumplings, and char siu buns… Actually, make it fifteen baskets of those," Yaeger said casually.

The staff behind the counter shivered slightly upon hearing the order.

‘Is she planning to buy out the entire store’s desserts?' he wondered.

"Dearest customer… are you joking?" the staff asked hesitantly, his voice tinged with disbelief.

"I don’t have time for jokes. Pack them all for takeaway," Yaeger replied flatly.

"Is this… for real?" he stammered.

"Do you want to do business or not? Stop wasting time with pointless questions," Yaeger said with a hint of irritation, her frown deepening. After dealing with similar exchanges all day, Yaeger found this routine exceedingly tiresome.

"Ah! My apologies—right away!" the staff stammered, flustered by her sharp tone. He immediately turned to the other employees, barking orders for them to start packing the food.

While waiting, Yaeger’s lips curled into a faint smirk. "Seems like I’ve attracted some unwanted attention." She had already picked up on the malicious gazes among the curious stares of astonished onlookers. These ones were sharp—venomous.

‘The Small Sword Group’s influence in Roc City has been wiped out by Mylene. The Entertainment Center wouldn’t dare come after me either. These guys don’t look like professional hitmen… Strange. Who would have the audacity to target me here in Roc City? Which idiot is behind this?' Yaeger pondered, her thoughts laced with curiosity.

With a dismissive shake of her head, she decided it wasn’t worth worrying about. Whoever they were, they’d regret daring to cross her path. Severe consequences awaited.

Despite lingering for a while, the suspicious individuals remained rooted in their positions, watching but not acting.

Soon, her order was ready. After scanning the QR code to pay, Yaeger grabbed the hefty bags of desserts and strode out. Nine shadowy figures discreetly trailed her as she walked.

Moments later, Yaeger entered a secluded alley. She suddenly spun around, her voice cutting through the silence. "Who are you, and why are you following me?"

"Heh, you’re [Princess], aren’t you?" said the man dressed as a hobo, stepping forward from the group and pointing directly at Yaeger.

"I’m not. You’ve got the wrong person," Yaeger replied, shaking her head in feigned denial.

"Do you really think you can just deny it?" the man chuckled, shaking his head as a smug smile spread across his face. "It’s pointless. A woman as exceptional as you? No matter how you disguise yourself or where you go… You’re like a firefly in the dark—impossible to miss."

"It seems like no matter what I say, you won’t leave me alone," Yaeger said, her tone cool and indifferent.

"Heh, so you really are [Princess]!" the man exclaimed, his voice filled with glee. To him, they’d just hit the jackpot. Delivering her to the second young master would undoubtedly earn them a massive reward.

"How troublesome," Yaeger muttered with a sigh. "I have cute little ones waiting for me at home. Can’t you people just leave me be?"

"Of course not. Our second young master has personally invited you to his residence, [Princess]. We’re just humble underlings, so please, don’t make this harder for us," the man said with a forced smile.

The man extended his right hand in a mockingly polite gesture, his smile plastered firmly in place.

"Second young master? Who’s that supposed to be?" Yaeger tilted her head slightly, her confusion genuine.

"Naturally, he’s the second young master of the Lin Family—one of the Four Major Families!" the man declared arrogantly, puffing out his chest. Being a member of the Lin Family filled him with immense pride.

"The Lin Family," Yaeger muttered, her tone suddenly cold. "I left them alone, but they’ve decided to come knocking. They’re courting death." Her tone turned chilling, and her eyes darkened with grim resolve.

Everyone who heard her felt an involuntary shiver run down their spines.

"[Princess], it’d be wise to come with us quietly," the man said with mock politeness. "It’d be such a shame if someone as beautiful as you ended up scarred." The man flicked his arm, signaling to his subordinates.

The underlings behind him nodded in unison and began moving toward Yaeger with purpose.

"It seems you have no idea what it means to die," Yaeger said coldly.

Before they could even get close, their bodies were flung backward with the force of a speeding truck, blood splattering through the air as their agonized screams filled the alley.

Witnessing the brutal scene, the man’s entire body began to tremble uncontrollably, his face draining of color as terror gripped him.

In that instant, he understood—this girl was no ordinary human. She was a monster in human form!

"Spare—" The man’s plea for mercy was cut short as a materialized tentacle slammed into him, sending him flying.

"What a waste of time," Yaeger muttered disdainfully. With a final, scornful glance at the bloodied figures writhing and screaming on the ground, Yaeger turned and walked away, her steps steady and unhurried.
