Chapter 83: The Return of Viridian!
The silver glow of the moon bathed the towering skyline of New York City, casting long, jagged shadows across the streets below. The air hummed with the distant sounds of honking cabs and late-night revelers, oblivious to the anomaly forming high above them.
A thin line of crimson mist slashed across the sky like a wound in reality, pulsating ominously before unfurling into a swirling portal. The air distorted around it, rippling with raw energy. From the rift, a figure emerged, floating effortlessly, his silhouette outlined against the portal's eerie glow.
William descended with effortless grace, his presence commanding, his strong arms securely cradling Harley Quinn in a princess carry. The moonlight shimmered against his dark and blonde hair, and his expression was unreadable, though the playful smirk tugging at Harley's lips suggested she was thoroughly enjoying the ride.
Behind him, three women stepped out of the portal, each possessing an almost supernatural allure. Their gazes flickered between Harley and William, jealousy barely concealed beneath their composed exteriors. One folded her arms, her eyes narrowing slightly. Another huffed, tossing her hair over her shoulder as if dismissing the scene before her. The third let out a sigh, subtle but telling.
Sensing the tension, Harley giggled and dramatically wrapped her arms around William's neck. "Aw, ya gals ain't jealous, are ya?" she teased, her blue and pink pigtails bouncing as she shifted in his arms.
The city beneath them remained oblivious, its countless lights twinkling like fallen stars. But up here, among the silent skyscrapers and drifting clouds, the air crackled with something unseen, something between rivalry and amusement, tension and unspoken emotions.
And at the heart of it all stood William.
The crisp night air carried the distant hum of the city below as William hovered in place, his sharp gaze sweeping over the four women gathered around him. The faint glow of the portal behind them flickered before sealing shut, leaving only the moonlit sky and the twinkling lights of New York as their backdrop.
"Ladies, let's go home for now and get you all situated in your rooms," William stated smoothly, his voice carrying a quiet authority that immediately captured their attention.
The women exchanged glances, a mixture of curiosity and intrigue flashing across their faces before they turned back to him.
Zatanna arched a perfectly sculpted brow, a playful smirk tugging at her lips. "What, do you have a mansion or something? Ha! Ha! Ha!" she teased, folding her arms as her magician's cloak fluttered behind her.
A knowing grin appeared on William's face, subtle yet brimming with a confidence that hinted at something far grander than mere wealth. He didn't offer a response, words weren't necessary. Instead, he merely turned, his figure silhouetted against the moon as he began floating toward a distant part of the city.
The women hesitated only for a moment before following, their intrigue growing with every second. They had no idea what awaited them, but something about William's silence, his certainty, told them it was far beyond what they expected.
[S.H.I.E.L.D. HQ]
The blaring of alarms shattered the quiet night within the highly secured compound of S.H.I.E.L.D. Headquarters. Red warning lights flashed against the metallic walls, casting eerie shadows over the frantic agents rushing to their stations. The entire facility buzzed with tension, energy readings spiking across multiple screens.
"WOOOWOOO, WOOOWOOO!"
Nick Fury jolted awake, his instincts immediately on high alert. Years of experience had trained him to react first and ask questions later. Within seconds, he was on his feet, dressing in his signature black tactical gear and securing his eyepatch in place. The urgency in the air was palpable.
Bursting into the control room, he barked, "SOMEONE GONNA TELL ME WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?"
The agents at their stations turned, their faces drained of color. Fear clung to the room like an oppressive fog. One officer hesitated before swallowing hard and delivering the grim report.
"Sir… a portal suddenly opened over Manhattan, and five individuals emerged. The energy spike they produced—" He paused, glancing at the screens where erratic readings pulsed violently. "—it pushed our sensors straight into the black. We're talking beyond Omega-level."Fury's jaw tightened, his expression unreadable, but his mind was already racing. Omega-level was bad. Beyond Omega? That was a category that didn't officially exist.
"Get me visuals. Now!
"As the agents scrambled, Fury exhaled slowly, his single eye narrowing. Whatever, or whoever, had just arrived in New York… S.H.I.E.L.D. had just been put on high alert.
[Above a Secluded Mansion in New York]
A sprawling mansion loomed beneath them, its gothic architecture blending seamlessly with modern elegance. The estate stretched far beyond what the eye could see, surrounded by dense, towering trees that shielded it from the outside world. Moonlight cascaded over the dark stone walls, casting elongated shadows across the perfectly manicured courtyard.
The four women hovered in stunned silence, each reacting in their own way.
Zatanna raised an eyebrow, her lips parting slightly before she let out an impressed chuckle. "Okay… I was joking about the mansion, but I stand corrected."Kara, arms crossed, let out a small whistle. "I mean… I've seen palaces before, but this? Not bad, Parker."Raven remained silent, her violet eyes sweeping over the massive structure, taking in every detail and nodded in contentment.
Then there was Harley.
She suddenly kicked her legs in excitement, throwing her arms around William's neck as she let out a loud, delighted squeal. "YA HAVE A FRIGGIN' MANSION?!" she practically shrieked, wiggling in his grasp like an overjoyed child.
"Ohhh! Do we get servants? Butlers? Maybe a whole staff? I always wanted one of them fancy houses with a fountain in the front and a chef who makes breakfast every mornin'!"She snuggled even closer, her blonde and pink pigtails bouncing as she pressed against him, her scent—a mix of wild strawberries and something sweetly intoxicating—wrapping around him.
A faint blush dusted William's face before he quickly regained his composure. Clearing his throat, he began his descent, his tone casual but carrying a hint of amusement."I'm sure I can work something out.
"As they landed, the crunch of gravel beneath his boots echoed softly through the expansive front yard. He gently set Harley down, and she immediately spun on her heels, taking in her surroundings like an excited tourist.
Zatanna smirked as she approached the grand entrance, brushing her gloved fingers along the intricate carvings on the door. "Alright, I'll bite. What's the story behind this place? Because normal people don't just own a hidden mega-mansion in the middle of nowhere.
"William shot her a knowing look but said nothing as he pushed open the massive double doors.
Inside, the grand foyer was bathed in the golden glow of elegant chandeliers, their light dancing off polished black marble floors. A sweeping staircase coiled toward the upper levels, and long hallways stretched into the distance, lined with towering bookshelves, intricate tapestries, and art pieces that whispered of untold stories.
Harley gasped dramatically, clutching her chest as if she'd been struck by Cupid's arrow. "I love it here. Ohh, I call dibs on the biggest room!
"Kara rolled her eyes with a smirk. "You mean the second biggest.
"Raven exhaled softly before stepping past all of them and disappearing into the shadows of the mansion.
William's smirk deepened as he shut the doors behind them.
The heavy doors shut with a quiet thud, sealing the grand entrance behind them. As the four women dispersed into the mansion, each eager to explore their new surroundings, William remained still for a moment, his gaze sweeping over the vast interior.
The distant sound of Harley's excited footsteps echoed through the halls, while Zatanna's amused chuckles and Kara's analytical murmurs could be heard in the background.
Raven, as expected, moved in near silence, her presence more of a shadow gliding through the corridors.
But now, with the others occupied, William turned his focus inward.
He exhaled slowly, allowing himself to fully relax. His thoughts shifted away from the physical world as a familiar presence stirred within his mind. With a mere thought, his system menu activated, a translucent interface materializing before his eyes, brimming with information.
A deep, primal energy hummed beneath his skin as he scanned the details.
[System Menu Activated – User: William "Khorne" Parker]
Race: Saiyan/Viltrumite Hybrid
Power Level: 366,152,500,000
A slow smirk played on his lips. His strength had reached absurd levels, far beyond what most beings in the universe could comprehend. And yet… he knew there was still untapped potential, power waiting to be unlocked.
He scrolled down, eyes narrowing as he analyzed his various abilities and boons.
Miscellaneous Bloodlines:
Demon God's Bloodline (0.1%) – "Will improve based on demonic acts!"
William's expression darkened slightly. A Demon God's bloodline… It was barely at the starting threshold, but the implications were vast. How far could he push it? What kind of demonic acts would cause it to evolve? That was something to ponder.
Boons:
Omega Spark - After impressively defeating a clone of the god of evil Darkseid you absorbed a portion of his Omega effect forming into an entirely new creation that gains strength by defeating and destroying beings who contain divinity!
Blessing of the Goddess of Fertility – "All children will be born healthy, and chances of producing offspring increased by 1000%!"
William blinked, then groaned internally. Of all things… It wasn't exactly a combat boon, but it did explain why certain divine entities had taken an interest in him.
Blessing of the All-Father – "You are gifted the All-Speech as well as access to the Bifrost!"
A useful ability, allowing him to communicate with any being in existence. The Bifrost access was an added bonus, though he had no immediate plans to visit Asgard.
Thunder God's Blessing – "Granted access to lightning-based abilities!"
Static crackled along his fingertips at the mere thought. Lightning could be an excellent supplement to his already overwhelming physical abilities.
Blessing of Rao – "Grants access to any Kryptonian tech and the ability to absorb solar energy to fill energy reserves in a pinch. 'Abilities increase based on how many Kryptonian offspring you produce naturally!'"
William raised an eyebrow. Another… fertility-based blessing? Kryptonian tech access was a major advantage, but the latter half of that description made him sigh. He had a feeling Kara would love to tease him about that one.
Whisper of the Arcane – "Gains the ability to cast minor spells using backward speech, enhancing magical efficiency.
"Mana Affinity – "Passively absorbs ambient mana, increasing overall spellcasting endurance.
"Mage's Insight – "Instinctively understands basic magical concepts, allowing easier adaptation to spellcraft and enchantments."
Zatanna's influence was evident here. Magic had never been his primary focus, but with these boons, he could potentially wield it as a viable secondary skillset.
Madcap Legacy – "A boon that applies a minor passive defense against mental attacks and intrusions and grows with time"
This one was… interesting. Likely tied to Harley in some way. Considering the sheer number of telepaths and manipulators in the world, this could prove invaluable.
[Possessions Within System Space]
Thunder-Spire: A towering, jagged spire crackling with raw, untamed lightning energy. It was more than just a weapon, it was a symbol of power, a relic of divine storms. The spire could summon lightning from the heavens themselves, amplifying the strength of its wielder exponentially with every storm it controlled.
God-Slayer Spear: This spear was forged in the deepest recesses of the cosmos, its blade tempered in the blood of gods. The weight of the weapon was palpable even in the void of the system space, its aura radiating with the power to sever even the most divine of beings. A weapon for the most dangerous of battles.
Lightning-bolt: A weapon that could channel the full force of a thunderstorm in an instant. This sleek, almost aerodynamic weapon hummed with energy, a perfect partner to the Thunder-Spire. With a flick of his wrist, William could unleash bolts of electric fury that could reduce mountains to ash.
Phage Symbiote: This sentient, dark entity was bound to William, a living weapon that could merge with its host to grant incredible regenerative abilities and the power to absorb and manipulate others' energy. Its alien nature was both a boon and a constant reminder that William had far more potential than most could imagine.
Gravitas "The Planet": A whole planet, contained within his system space, but more than just a world, it was a massive gravitational anomaly. At the heart of Gravitas was its core: the Gravitonium Core, a mysterious and volatile substance that controlled the gravity of the planet. It allowed for bending the laws of physics within its domain, creating an unstable environment where the very fabric of reality could be warped and manipulated. A training ground, a sanctuary, and an energy source, all contained in a single, self-sustaining world.
Reality Gem: An artifact of unimaginable power. The gem pulsed with a vibrant glow, its color shifting as it resonated with the very fabric of existence. It could warp reality itself, a tool for manipulation on a cosmic scale. Whatever William wanted, whatever reality he desired, this gem could bend the rules to make it his truth. "Warning Dangerous item if used improperly!"
Adamantium Plates (2 tons): Forged from the hardest substance in the universe, these plates were nearly indestructible. They could be used for both defensive purposes or incorporated into his attacks, a form of unstoppable offense and defense. With these, even the deadliest of blows would barely leave a scratch.
Vibranium Plates (1 ton): Slightly lighter than adamantium, but infinitely more versatile. The natural properties of vibranium allowed it to absorb and store kinetic energy, transforming it into offensive force or redirecting it to defend against even the most devastating attacks. The perfect complement to the adamantium, the two materials balanced each other perfectly.
10x10 Size Plot of Land Producing Senzu Beans: A piece of land that continued to grow the rare, healing Senzu beans, a commodity known to regenerate any injury, heal fatigue, and even extend one's life. With this constant supply, William could recover from nearly any wound and have the energy to keep pushing forward without fear of exhaustion.
Omega Forge: A cosmic forge capable of destroying, creating and reforming weapons worth of and capable of defeating divinity.
Apokoliptian War Cruiser – "Harbinger of Ruin": A high-speed, heavily armed Apokoliptian war cruiser, salvaged from the remnants of Darkseid's defeated forces. Unlike the lumbering dreadnoughts of Apokolips, the Harbinger of Ruin is a sleek, maneuverable battleship designed for deep-space warfare, infiltration, and high-intensity combat. It has been retrofitted with enhanced technology and a state-of-the-art training chamber to push its master beyond mortal limits.
Sunstone core - A crystalline device that interfaces into lesser technology and allows the proliferation of Sunstone crystals around it which can be programmed any way one desires!
William leaned back onto the plush couch, the cool, smooth leather cradling his body as he let out a deep breath. The mansion was alive with the sounds of movement: the soft footsteps of Raven as she moved silently through the hall, Zatanna's playful laughter drifting through the air, Harley's excited chatter echoing from one of the far rooms, and Kara's careful exploration of the surroundings, her every movement precise and measured.
But it wasn't the sounds of his companions that occupied William's mind; it was the vast energies he had just unlocked, the forces now at his command.
He closed his eyes, letting his mind drift into the flow of his newfound powers. He could feel them swirling inside of him, like currents in an ocean, waiting to be harnessed. Each energy was a different part of him, a part that could be shaped, molded, and unleashed at will.
Ki: He could feel it now, that deep, primal force that was the very essence of his being. Ki, latent energy. It thrummed in his veins, a force that resonated with his every heartbeat, pulsing through him like an extension of his life force. His mind wandered back to the countless hours of training, to his Saiyan heritage and his Viltrumite bloodline. Ki was an ancient part of him, a wellspring of potential that allowed him to tap into extraordinary physical feats. With a thought, he could pull the Ki from within, channeling it into his body to enhance his strength, speed, and endurance. Or, with the proper focus, he could send it outward, manifesting it into powerful techniques that could obliterate anything in his path.
But it wasn't just physical power. Ki was life force, energy, and with enough concentration, it could be transformed, shaped into techniques like the Kamehameha or the Final Flash. His power here, though, was far beyond even that. Ki, for him, was an extension of his soul.
Will: There was something else, a different energy, but one that felt just as powerful. Willpower. William's brow furrowed as a green light flickered at the edges of his vision. This energy, pure will, was drawn from his emotional spectrum, and with it, he could shape his intent into reality. He could form constructs of incredible strength, bending this light to form barriers, weapons, or any creation his mind could dream up. The more resolute his will, the stronger the construct, its very existence a reflection of his determination and focus.
In his past life, William had faced countless struggles, and every fight had forged his will into something unyielding. That will had granted him the power to overcome impossible odds, and now it took physical form in this strange, luminous green light. The power to create from sheer force of determination, it was a tool, an extension of himself that could be wielded like no other.
Fear: Next came the yellow light, Fear. He could feel it too, swirling like a storm on the horizon. Fear was a powerful motivator, and with it came the ability to construct objects that could manipulate that emotion in others. As the light sparked, flickered, and then swelled, William could imagine its potential, creating manifestations of terror that could paralyze his enemies, turning their deepest fears into tangible forces.
But fear wasn't just a weapon for his foes, it was a tool for his own mind as well. Fear could empower him, channeling the raw emotions that resided deep within him. When harnessed, it would be as though the energy of his very terror could fuel him to unimaginable heights. Fear was a primal force, an instinctual part of every being, and it could be twisted into a weapon, or a shield.
Rage: The red light, Rage, was unmistakable. It burned hot and intense, like a fire stoked by the very fires of his past. The rage he had felt throughout his life, the anger that had spurred him through the darkest moments, could now be focused into raw, destructive energy. He felt it inside him, a furnace of wrath that could be unleashed at will. Rage was a powerful, but volatile force, and it would fuel his constructs with unbridled power. With a mere flicker of thought, he could craft weapons of absolute destruction, imbued with the heat of fury and the force of wrath.
Rage was a weapon of chaos, and William knew well that it was a double-edged sword, one that could be turned inward, consuming him if he was not careful. But in controlled bursts, it could obliterate anything in his path. Every shred of rage he had ever felt could now be channeled into his very essence, making him a force to be reckoned with.
Cosmic Lightning: Finally, there was Cosmic Lightning. The energy of the stars themselves, pulsing with untold power. As William opened his eyes, he could feel the hum of electricity coursing through his body, faint at first, then gradually intensifying as he allowed the cosmic forces to merge with his own being. Cosmic Lightning could empower him, enhancing his already formidable strength, or it could be unleashed in violent arcs of energy, arcing through the air like bolts of destruction.
This lightning was more than just an element, it was a connection to the universe itself. The stars, the cosmos, the fabric of reality were all connected by this energy, and now William could tap into it. With a single motion, he could unleash waves of power so intense, they could disrupt the very fabric of space itself.
As he lay there, his body still resting on the couch, William allowed the energies to swirl around him, his mind racing with the possibilities. Each energy, Ki, Will, Fear, Rage, and Cosmic Lightning, was a different facet of his power. They were forces that were as much a part of him as his own heartbeat, and together, they made him something far more dangerous than anyone could comprehend.
But for now, with the sounds of his companions filling the mansion, he allowed himself a brief moment of respite.
He closed his eyes, a faint smile playing on his lips.
"BANG BANG BANG!" A sudden series of loud knocks echoed through the room causing William to frown and wonder just who it could possibly be.
