Chapter 1405: The Fifth Day
-----
I went to the bathroom and quickly decided to take a nice, warm bath. I relaxed, calmed down, washed away my tears, and decided to look forward to the present and the future instead of being stuck in the past, at least for the moment.
I would be lying if I said there's a lot to do though, after the tragedy of yesterday, there's even more commotion at the school, and I'm afraid they might cancel all classes for the rest of the day to be honest.
Nonetheless, we still have to go and see what happens, Sofia, Emily, and Alma will be there as well and I care about them and want to see them again, and well, all the other students, especially the Revived Trio, as we'll call them now.
Today is the fifth day in here, five days out of seven, the end is coming closer… We've slain a couple of Nightmare Demons already, but that's not near enough as all the ones that might be hiding and lurking around.
This attack proves they're looking around outside the barrier I made, waiting for the opportunity to strike, I should advise the Dream Warriors to simply not get out of the barrier, but well, would they even believe me I made a whole island-wide barrier?
Not at all, right?
Another thing, to prepare I should probably go grind more EXP and Dream Power for my Dream Weapons. Going to the archipelago with my team would be ideal. Even if Nightmare Demons come to ambush us it wouldn't matter, as we can handle them if we're all together as a giant group.
Lastly, we have to find a way to the Nightmare Realm, and I think we might be able to get there as long as I can evolve into a Nightmare. Although Beatriz has lost the ability to create a door, if I become a Nightmare, it shouldn't be impossible to break through the barrier stopping us from entering.
Another way would be if we wait for a Nightmare Demon to come, and we use them to enter the castle where they came from…
Or another, the one that would be my last resort, would be to shatter space itself using my spatial and void abilities, risking the world to be destroyed in the process, and reach the Nightmare Realm forcefully.
Or well… Maybe if we find a Shattered Nightmare World, and get through there? The thing is, the Nightmare Void is immensely big and near infinite in size as a Dimension of its own.
So it would be kind of pointless to get there without using a special pathway that would bring us to where the Nightmare Demons are hiding, the ones planning for the humanity's demise.
There are many possibilities and things we could do at the end, but…
The best would be to just evolve into a Nightmare, then with Beatriz, possibly find the path towards the castle.
She can't get there herself anymore, but she has memories of its location, appearance, and all of that, right? Then yeah, maybe it should be possible.
"Phew…"
After taking a warm bath and getting my thoughts sorted out, I quickly dressed up in my high school uniform, and I looked at myself at the mirror.
"Oh my gosh Maria, you're an old woman but you sport this high school uniform like a total teenager cutie~!"
Okay saying that out loud was super cringe but I liked how I looked with it, I looked super cute…
I always liked acting more like a mature woman anyway, I mean I'm technically an old hag now, but even then…
Just pretending I'm a high schooler again its kind of nice. Makes me feel like I'm reliving the younger years I was unable to enjoy nor feel much fulfillment about.
I guess I'm technically living the life now, huh?
Whatever the case, let's move on…
Was I walked out of my room; I found my brother there with his phone.
"Oh, Arthur! Good morning! Come here for your morning kissie!"
"Huh? I'm already a grown-up big sis…"
He complained, but he couldn't escape my embrace. He was the literal last family member I had now, I worked my ass to fully revive him, so I had all the right to do this.
I hugged him, and he ended hugging me back, and then I kissed his forehead.
"I love you Arthur…"
As I hugged him and he rested his head over my shoulders, he patted my back.
"I-I love you too… big sis…"
He said it with an embarrassed tone of voice, but at least he said it~!
"Let's go have breakfast then, are you hungry?"
"Very. I've been looking at the news recently in this device, its really useful to know what's going on world-wide through these information networks."
"Oh yeah, phones are pretty awesome. Have you downloaded any games?"
"Games? No? What are those? Like playing games?"
"Yeah, games but in your phone! I guess you haven't discovered that yet, huh? Let me show you."
As we walked downstairs, I helped him check the App Store, where I showed him some games he could download for free.
I skipped the gachas though, for the time being.
"Oh, this is chess? I can't believe its on the phone… Am I playing with someone else that also has a phone?"
"Yep, that's how it usually goes- Ah! Good morning Amelia."
"Maria, Arthur, good morning~! Did you sleep well? I am just finishing breakfast, you must be hungry."
She moved using her wheelchair to greet us.
I hugged her out of respect and also gratefulness for letting us live in her house and everything.
Even if she doesn't know who we truly are, I do feel very grateful.
"You didn't really need to; you should rest instead of forcing yourself to do these things…" I said.
"I am fine, don't worry…" she said. "I cannot do much exercise, but moving a few things here and there is nothing tiring at all. Really."
"Well, fine… but don't overdo it, right Arthur?" I asked.
"Yeah, please be careful," Arthur nodded.
As we sat down to enjoy breakfast, a large feast of toasts, eggs and bacon, cookies, muffin, pancakes, fruits, milk and tea greeted us.
And it all smells so good!
