Chapter 1273: It's All Your Fault
-----
"Do you remember me now?!" Martina said angrily.
She had changed so much Sofia had a hard time even realizing it was her! However, the star-shaped pupils remained.
"I-It's you? I barely remember you now…"
Sofia gathered her Magic Aura around her body, reinforcing her physical strength and abilities, while tightly holding her spear.
"BARELY?!" Martina angrily said. "In that day you… You ignored me and mocked me! When I tried to become your friend! When I finally tried to talk to someone…! You fucking bitch! Don't you know how much bullying I got because of how you treated me?!"
"W-What?!"
It was two years ago; Sofia could hardly remember her face at all.
But Martina could still remember it as clearly as yesterday.
It was when she had just been in the academy for a year, and the new year students had arrived.
Every student of her year ignored her because of her looks and her strange abilities they found weird and disgusting.
However, she wasn't bullied yet, mostly because of a similar factor to Gabriel, they found her creepy and scary.
But since Sofia arrived, being someone from a rich family, with great talent and also beauty, she quickly brought the attention of everyone.
She could only watch her from afar, always thinking of what could happen if she became her friend…
"There's no way someone like her would… become my friend, right?"
Despite that, she always saw Sofia as someone incredible, with her abilities and her charisma, she made dozens of friends instantly.
Meanwhile, Martina continued being lonely.
Back then, she truly believed she would stay like this for the rest of her years in the academy…
However, that one fateful day, when she stayed late in school.
"Ah, there was so much left to clean…"
She walked outside of the classroom after having participated in the cleaning duties as a way to earn points for tests.
It wasn't anything hard for her, and she did it happily.
However, she ended coming out quite late finding out nobody was in the school.
"It's so late already…"
She walked downstairs, suddenly tripping.
"Eh?!" Continue your adventure at My Virtual Library Empire
The fall wasn't that nasty though, but she dropped everything into the floor, making a huge mess.
"Oh no! Wait, this is bad…"
As she clumsily started to clean the floor, someone appeared.
"Huh?"
It was Sofia herself, looking down at her as she was trying to clean the floor and gather the things she dropped.
Martina could still remember how she had become frozen out of panic…
Yet instead of acting rude… Sofia extended a helping hand.
"Did you have an accident? Were you cleaning?"
"Y-Yes…"
"Let me help you."
"O-Oh! Thank you…"
Sofia ended helping her, dirtying her pale white hands with the mopping water and everything, just for Martina!
Once they were done, Sofia sighed in relief, as the two girls went to the bathroom to wash their hands.
"Thank you so much, I never thought you would help me…"
"Ah, don't mind it… So what class are you? Staying here so late…"
"I-I'm from Class 1C."
"So you're a year older, huh? You sure don't look that way."
"I-I guess so… but thanks. I never expected someone like you to help me out on something like that! I was surprised…"
"Why? I'm not a bad person or something… I'm glad I could help you… Ah, I'm getting hungry though."
Sofia checked her phone and then nodded.
"Wanna come eat something outside? Might as well."
"E-Eh? Me?!"
"Yeah, whatever… I don't like being alone anyways."
"S-Sure!"
It was the opportunity of her life. That day, Martina would remember it forever. The most popular, beautiful, talented girl of the academy talked to her, was friendly, and even invited her to eat ramen outside.
The two enjoyed a long chat about school, their friendships, abilities, and just life in general… at the end of that day, Martina was so happy to believe it.
"T-Thank you so much for everything, I can't believe this was all real!"
"Hah, don't worry. See you tomorrow."
"A-Ah, yeah!"
Martina couldn't believe it; she had made the most popular girl in the academy her friend!
The next day she came running to met her, even to the point of entering her classroom timidly.
Most of the students there glared at her with weird faces.
"Sofia…!"
She found her talking with a bunch of other popular girls, as she ran to greet her.
"S-Sofia! Good morning!"
"Hm?"
"About yesterday… I brought you some yakisoba bread, because you said you liked-"
"Hey Sof, who's this creep?"
"Do you know her?"
"Hey, don't get too comfortable with her. It's Sofia you're talking with!"
"H-Huh? But I… Sofia, please tell them that-"
"Who are you?" Sofia looked at her while raising eyebrow. "I don't know her at all… So creepy, get away please."
"W-Wha…?! But we talked just yesterday? I thought we were…!"
"Hey, she told you to get away already!"
A rude girl pushed Martina away, making her fall to the floor.
"Ah! Ouch… S-Sofia!"
Suddenly, Martina found herself surrounded by these popular girls that licked Sofia's boots, glaring at her with anger.
"How can you not remember me we did a lot together, we even ate ramen!"
"Ramen?! That's not something Sofia would ever eat!"
"She eats refined food from fancy restaurants."
"Yeah, ramen's for poor people, right?"
"Wait, what are you talking about? She ate with me…" Martina kept crying. "Ah! D-Don't touch me!"
The girls suddenly started dragging her way from the classroom.
"Maybe we should teach you a lesson or something, you're way too annoying!"
"You creep! Stop pretending you're her friend!"
"You're just a loser, get lost!"
"Aaah!"
Martina ended being kicked out of the classroom, her glasses were broken because she was punched hard, and she was crying.
"S-Sofia! SOFIAAA!"
She kept screaming Sofia's name, only making every other student glare at her with weirded out eyes.
"What the hell is wrong with her?"
"Such a creep~"
"Ugh, don't touch her, she smells bad."
"Is she pretending to be Sofia's friend? No way!"
"Hahaha! Look at her!"
"Hahahah!"
Dozens of students laughing at her, mocking her…
While she was in the floor, with her glasses broken and a swollen nose.
"A-Ah…! Aahh…!"
Despair filled her heart.
The careful school life she had lived, was completely broken that day.
And it was all Sofia's fault.
