Chapter 247 Pleasant Answers_3
Ma Shicheng was at the internet cafe tonight, having booked an all-night package; he had plenty of time, so he leisurely clicked into the class group chat to check the messages.
During this time, a girl about seventeen or eighteen years old came over with a bucket of noodles.
In the April weather, the girl was dressed lightly, and her features were pretty decent, just that the dark circles under her eyes were slightly noticeable, spoiling her looks a bit.
"Brother Ma, you got another pentakill, eh? You're the most skilled person I've ever seen," the girl complimented him as she gently placed the instant noodles on the table.
It was a beef-flavored instant noodle; the rim of the bucket had a disposable fork piercing through the packaging, securely holding it in place.
"Now when you get a pentakill, our store even gives a free bucket of noodles," the girl said.
Ma Shicheng looked up at her; the girl was an internet cafe manager and was quite popular usually.
He replied, "Next time, I'll make it myself."
"Does Brother Ma find me bothersome?" the female manager asked.
"Not really."
"Then that's good. Brother Ma, could you take me for a ranked game later? I'll buy you a cola," the female manager negotiated.
Ma Shicheng thought for a moment, "It probably won't work right now; wait a bit, I'll call you when I'm ready."
Taking a girl gaming wasn't a difficult task for him.
It didn't matter, he would just go on a killing spree.
The female manager walked away satisfied. Halfway there, some boys teased,
"We'd like to be taken too, give us a chance."
The female manager didn't give them face:
"No problem, talk to me when you've reached Gold rank."
Ma Shicheng scrolled through the group messages and saved a physics exam paper.
He might not study, but that didn't mean he didn't care about grades.
Like a sports fan who doesn't play but knows well who scores, Ma Shicheng was also quite familiar with who performed well.
He looked at the physics paper and compared it, remembering the answers he'd filled in at the test.
Ma Shicheng typed his ABCD options into the chat box, ready to compare with everyone.
Chen Qian and Song Sheng's argument had escalated, almost blowing up the group chat.
Suddenly, Chen Siyu stepped in, she @Xue Yuantong:
"Xue Yuantong, tell us your answers for the multiple-choice."
The message was just sent out when an immediate burst of disputing comments from Chen Qian and Song Sheng followed; although they wanted to continue arguing, they hastily pulled over when they saw Chen Siyu's message.
Waiting for her to declare the results.
Others were also waiting for Xue Yuantong to come out and clarify.
In front of the bungalow near the river dam, Xue Yuantong looked up at the night sky.
With a crescent moon hanging high surrounded by stars, flashing airplane lights, and light white clouds passing by.
"Jiang Ning, what do you think that cloud looks like?" Xue Yuantong decided to prompt him.
Jiang Ning lazily replied, "It's just a cloud, what else could it be?"
Xue Yuantong scoffed, "Humph, you're so dumb. Didn't you notice that cloud looks like a sheep?"
She then accused, "You promised to catch a sheep for me to eat!"
"I didn't say that," Jiang Ning assured he never said that.
"I don't care, I want to eat sheep," Xue Yuantong insisted.
Jiang Ning remembered very clearly; last time there was a flock of sheep at the river dam, Xue Yuantong ran to catch one, but he stopped her before she could proceed.
He didn't expect she would still remember that.
Jiang Ning considered for a moment and said, "Tomorrow I'll catch you something even tastier than sheep."
Xue Yuantong immediately stopped fussing, her eyes blinking, "Really?"
"Yes."
"Hehe, Jiang Ning, you're so nice."
"Of course," Jiang Ning said comfortably.
While Xue Yuantong was happy, she took the chance to check her phone and noticed someone @her in the group.
Oh, it was about the answers to the physics multiple-choice questions.
She sent a series of ABCDs to the group.
The group instantly boiled over, Chen Qian started counting the answers to the questions they were discussing, realizing he picked wrong, Song Sheng was also incorrect.
"Impossible, it must be A!" Chen Qian was indignant.
Wang Longlong jumped in: "Xue Yuantong got full marks in the physics exam, are you questioning the authority?"
Chen Qian went silent.
Meanwhile, everyone was comparing answers.
Ma Shicheng in the internet cafe was no exception; he temporarily abandoned his beloved game.
After seriously comparing, Ma Shicheng suddenly exclaimed:
"Holy shit!"
"With so many multiple-choice questions, how did I only get one right?!"
Ma Shicheng couldn't believe it; his physics was poor, but he was certain he'd got at least two questions absolutely right.
He hurriedly compared again, each letter by letter, and he breathed a huge sigh of relief, a false alarm:
"Drunk, I just got the sequence wrong."
"Scared me to death, I just knew it couldn't be!"
"How could I possibly only get one right?"
This time, Ma Shicheng referenced the correct sequence and carefully compared again, resulting in a shocking outcome:
He got all the physics multiple-choice questions wrong.
