Rebirth in Journey to the West: Sun Wukong

Sun Wukong did not concern himself with the thoughts of the Dragon Kings of the Four Seas; as soon as he returned to Flower-Fruit Mountain riding the clouds, he immediately set about connecting the ley lines of Heavenly Dragon Valley and the land of the Golden Winged Great Roc Clan with those of Flower-Fruit Mountain.

One after another, floating islands rose above the ley lines of Flower-Fruit Mountain, with gigantic chains of spiritual energy extending from the depth of the mountain. Under the control of Sun Wukong, these chains interconnected and became tied to the ley lines as well.

Having grasped three Great Dao Laws and condensed them into pillars of the Great Dao, Sun Wukong's combat power had increased considerably. However, the most significant change was in his mastery of various divine skills and wondrous techniques.

Great Dao begets naturally, divine skills follow!

Certain divine skills that previously seemed miraculous, such as Moving Mountains and Filling Seas, or covering the sky with a mere hand, were now mundane tasks for Sun Wukong.

For instance, Sun Wukong singly managed to extract Heavenly Dragon Valley and the land of the Golden Winged Great Roc Clan from their own small world spaces, integrating the power of the small worlds into the entire territory of Flower-Fruit Mountain. By connecting the ley lines to form a single entity without relying on the power of individuals such as the Puti Patriarch, a feat that would have been unthinkable in the past!

Yama, the Heavenly Son, was right; the more Great Dao Laws one mastered and the more pillars of the Great Dao one could coalesce before Proving the Tao and Becoming a Saint, the more formidable one's strength and potential would be—and after one's eventual Attainment of Saint, the stronger one's power. Though Sun Wukong had not yet attained sanctity, his strength was now terrifyingly potent.

Perhaps, he was the first and the only person who could defy Heavenly Punishment and ascend to sanctity since the opening of the Three Realms!

"Rise!"

The chains formed of the ley lines' spiritual energy had connected all the Floating Immortal Islands with the ley lines of Flower-Fruit Mountain. Satisfied, Sun Wukong nodded, forming a spell with both hands and lightly shouting. Instantly all the power of the Great Dao restraining the Floating Immortal Island's buoyancy was removed. The formations that Sun Wukong had people set up were activated at this moment.

The earth trembled violently, and around Flower-Fruit Mountain at the epicenter, a vast crack formed nine hundred miles across the perimeter, completely separating the region covered by the Flower-Fruit Mountain range from other lands.

With rumbling noises, the entire range of Flower-Fruit Mountain slowly detached from the ground, inch by inch, ascending towards the sky; however, the speed of ascent increased rapidly, soon levitating the mountain amidst the clouds, faintly visible.

This height, compared to the Ninth Layer of Heaven where the Heavenly Palace resided, was naturally much less, and even from the ground, one could make out the massive mountain range amongst the clouds. But compared to Spiritual Mountain, it was already a significant distance away, for Flower-Fruit Mountain was currently floating in the sky, taking a crucial step toward floating above the Nine Heavens.

Residing in the vast sky, auspicious air forms naturally.

Streams of auspicious Qi began to emerge from within Flower-Fruit Mountain, merging with the mountain's spiritual energy and thus initiating a transformation—from nature's spiritual energy to Immortal Spirit Qi!

Nature's spiritual energy, the flow of energy that condenses in any location across the Three Realms, becomes much more concentrated within a Cave Heaven and Blessed Land, reaching levels several or even dozens of times higher than the outside world. Yet, it remains a mere accumulation of quantity, at most creating spirit stones, and is nowhere near as powerful as Immortal Spirit Qi.

Immortal Spirit Qi is a special energy flow formed after the nature's spiritual energy reaches a certain level and then merges with auspicious Qi. Such an energy flow is far more beneficial to cultivators than nature's spiritual energy.

The nature's spiritual energy of Flower-Fruit Mountain was originally transformed from the extremely high-grade Stellar Spiritual Qi. Now, with the production of auspicious Qi and subsequent integration, the resulting Immortal Spirit Qi directly reached an elevation that neither the Human Heavenly Court nor Western Heaven Spiritual Mountain could match.

Strands of nine-colored radiance diffused from within Flower-Fruit Mountain Water Curtain Cave Heaven; this was the protective effect of the Water Curtain Cave Heaven's Sect Protection Array, the Zhou Tian Star Dou Great Formation, coming into effect.

The Zhou Tian Star Dou Great Formation of Flower-Fruit Mountain is the complete version, and over the years, Leng Xuan and others have never stopped refining the stars' banners. Not long ago, they finally completed the three hundred and sixty-five Major Zhou Tian Star Banners and fourteen thousand eight hundred Minor Zhou Tian Star Banners. By employing the River Diagram and Luo Script as the Formation Eye to propel it, the Zhou Tian Star Dou Great Formation has fully regained the power it possessed in ancient times.

The complete version of the Zhou Tian Star Dou Great Formation is not constrained by spatial limits of formations; almost the entire Flower-Fruit Mountain can be affected by the Great Formation, although the power is strongest close to the Water Curtain Cave Heaven.

Apart from the Zhou Tian Star Dou Great Formation, the Primordial Unity Qi Needle was also set up. A vast Barrier in spherical shape enveloped the entire Flower-Fruit Mountain along with its borders and the surrounding Floating Immortal Islands.

Flower-Fruit Mountain has now initially taken on the appearance of an Immortal Realm, and even compared to the Human Heavenly Court, it appears to possess greater Immortal Qi. This was something that even Sun Wukong himself did not expect.

The whole Flower-Fruit Mountain, having lifted off from the Northern Continent of Cattle-grazing, floating above the land, this shocking event had already alarmed various powers.

The Jade Emperor crushed the wine cup in his hand into powder, his forehead bulging with veins, and his complexion extremely dark as he gazed upon the distant view of Flower-Fruit Mountain displayed in the Hao Tian Mirror.

"The audacity! What exactly does that Demon Monkey want to achieve by making Flower-Fruit Mountain rise into the sky? Is he challenging my authority? Thinking about rebellion?"

The Jade Emperor clenched his teeth, the composure he had maintained in recent years was completely gone.

"They have already rebelled long ago!"

While this thought quietly passed through the hearts of various immortals and gods atop the Lingxia Palace, no one dared to speak out loud. The Jade Emperor had now attained the status of Slaying One Corpse Merit Saint, and was no longer the nominal emperor who solely relied on his subordinates. If the Jade Emperor had heard such a statement amidst his rage, he might have taken it out on them, and none would be able to withstand his anger, for they lacked the abilities of Sun Wukong, who had combat power comparable to that of those in the Saint Realm despite not having reached it.

"Keep a close surveillance on Flower-Fruit Mountain for me, I want to be updated on every single movement there, especially that of the Demon Monkey, Sun Wukong!"

Anger wouldn't solve the problem. After taking a couple of deep breaths to suppress the rage within, the Jade Emperor gave his orders with an icy voice.
