Rebirth As Godzilla

Chapter 15: Godzilla Become A Wizard

Previously, these elements were like viruses in a sea of magic, too small to pick out, so he subconsciously ignored them. But now that he saw them, he wondered why he hadn't noticed earlier.

Were they always there, just too scattered? Too faint? Or maybe mixed in so well with regular magic that his mind filtered them out?

Whatever the case, his interest reignited.

"Red, yellow, blue, green..." he muttered, carefully observing them one by one.

Each gave off its own distinct glow. With enough focus, he saw them behave like particles, tiny units floating in the flow of magic.

They didn't show up in plain sight, but he could feel them through magical senses. Some stood out more than others purple ones, icy blue ones probably rarer elements like lightning or ice.

He tried controlling them, but unlike magic, elements couldn't be shaped directly. He had to guide them through magic circle, which made the process a lot harder and far less responsive.

Still, he had time and patience. Worst case, he'd just grind until he got better at it.

But the task quickly became overwhelming. The elements were too dense, like sorting black and white sesame seeds mixed in a bowl—only now imagine five or six different colors all mixed together, and you had to pick each one out by hand.

It wasn't just difficult; it was on a completely different level. Grinding wouldn't help. Even if his brain worked like a supercomputer, it'd still be impossible.

It was like trying to rebuild a hammer not just from a lump of metal and wood, but from individual atoms, placing each one exactly where it belonged. And there weren't any large chunks to work with.

The whole thing was broken down into particles so small it felt like dealing with molecules or even smaller.

"What now..." Belial sighed, frustrated.

Then the answer hit him. It was right in front of him all along, his energy field. He realized that he could use the field to latch onto a single element particle and use that as a beacon to pull in others of the same type.

Like iron shavings drawn to a magnet, they gathered easily once he had an anchor.

Using this method, he started collecting and grouping different elements together. And once the number of same-type elements grew big enough, it became way easier to control them with magic.

Back when he first learned to use his energy field, all he could do was release, absorb, and amplify basic spells. Every time he tried to release something bigger, the magic would collapse back into the field. He simply couldn't handle the pressure.

But now, thanks to all the practice he'd done recreating anime characters through magical images, his control had improved a lot more than he realized. He could now shape magic inside the energy field itself.

Even more, he had learned how to stretch, shrink, bend, and shift the energy field's shape freely. It wasn't just a simple expanding circle anymore.

This gave him a massive boost in training speed. And once he figured out how elements reacted to different light colors and frequencies, he started experimenting with that too.

He expanded the energy field and shaped it into a box floating in front of him. Inside, he filled it with swirling magic and elements, adjusting how the field filtered and reflected light.

Just as he noticed earlier, the elements released different colored glows when stimulated and those colors were the base ones.

He couldn't help but grin. This was only the beginning.

This meant that by mastering how different elements mixed, Belial could finally blend colors through light. And just like that, the anime he played burst into full color.

"Hehe..."

The lazy Belial flopped onto the ground, rolling around with excitement as he watched the anime he created with his own magic. He didn't care that he was dragging his oversized body across the rocky floor, leaving a slimy trail like some overgrown maggot.

The stone ground had already been scratched and worn down by the regrown spikes on his back, but clearly, the Kaiju wasn't paying attention to that.

After finishing his little anime binge, his thoughts naturally drifted to something else.

Like… what would happen if he pushed his magic further by adding a lot of one element, say, fire. into his previous magic cycle?

What would that do? What kind of reaction would it cause if he blended raw elemental energy directly into magic?

He didn't hesitate. He tried it right away.

The result? A small ring of fire. It worked. Easy, too easy.

Next, he got a bit bold and tried adding water as well. Fire and water. two elements that were natural opposites. He wanted to see what would happen if he mixed them together inside a single loop of magic.

So, under his careful control, a water ring and a fire ring formed at the same time, and then he slowly merged them, watching with anticipation.

The outcome? Steam.

"..." Somehow… that felt disappointing.

Technically, it was exactly what should've happened. But it felt underwhelming, like expecting an explosion and getting a warm mist instead.

Still, it sparked his curiosity. Back on Earth, even kids learned about stuff like water electrolysis, chemical reactions, and atomic structures.

But in this world, water wasn't H2O, it was made of elemental water particles. Lightning wasn't electricity, it was formed from thunder elements.

So did those scientific rules still apply here, or was this an entirely different system of reality?

If they did apply, then maybe… just maybe… he could go full mad scientist and try nuclear experiments someday.

For now, though, he figured it was best to start small. Maybe try creating a single atom of tritium. Baby steps.

His mind drifted to the old man he'd fought before. the one who could throw around magic at speeds and volumes he couldn't match yet. That fight made one thing clear there was a massive gap between them.

But now that Belial had a grasp on elemental control, he was eager to attempt real magic again. "Let's test the result…"

He flipped open a tiny notebook filled with half-sketched ideas and old doodles. Using it as reference, he tried casting a new spell by drawing a magic array and feeding it a few balanced elements.

Nothing. All he got was a ring of fire hovering over his palm. No extra effect, no reaction. Just plain fire.

"I still don't get how this works..."

He sat down, flipping through the pages again, then decided to break down the array into simpler parts.

He focused on the basics simple shapes, common symbols and tried rebuilding it with what he understood.

Again, no results.

Still, he didn't give up. He kept testing new combinations, not even sure if the individual pieces had any power on their own. He kept tweaking shapes, removing symbols, reordering them again and again.

Finally, on his fifty-fourth try, a simple round array with just a few shapes gave a different response.

"Gather." He felt something stir within the circle floating above his hand. Magic and elements began flowing gently toward its center.

Under the influence of his energy field, the array pulled surrounding power into itself like a quiet vortex.

That's when it clicked.
