Reawakening: Primordial Dragon with Limitless Mana

Chapter 94: Options?

Luna fidgeted in her seat as the duo stepped out of the mansion to talk.

She was just as nervous as Hades had been when they first arrived.

Though she adored her grandmother, she knew well of her distrust toward men. Time and again, Fiona had urged her to live for herself, to leave the name Luna behind and embrace a new life as Rinne. She always said she didn't need a man to find happiness.

But Luna could never put into words what Hades truly was to her.

It wasn't simply because he was a man. He was far more than that—more than some passing infatuation.

Hades had given her hope when she thought none remained. He had stood by her in her darkest hours, offering the quiet, steady support she had so desperately needed. He had protected her, even when he gained nothing from it.

He had cried for her.

He had grown angry when others insulted her.

He had fought battles he had no chance of winning, all for her sake.

He had laughed with her and filled her days with memories she still held close to her heart.

That was why she never doubted him. Not once. She never believed she could live without him. To Luna, there was no her without Hades.

And she loves her grandma all so much as well. While she had no doubt her grandmother would never stop her from being with the man Luna has chosen for herself. Luna wanted to have her blessing before they left.

"I've often seen that look on your face," Diana said softly as she sat beside her, pouring herself a cup. "But this time… It's for a very different reason."

"Hades is always so cautious when it comes to my safety." Luna sighed, her fingers tightening around her cup. "I'm just worried… what if Grandma says something about my past to try and change his mind?"

"What then? Would he let you go?" Diana asked with genuine curiosity.

Luna shook her head quickly. "No. If anything, he'd lock me in a glass case to keep me safe—but he'd still carry me around with him everywhere."

Diana let out a wry smile. "That sounds ridiculous."

Luna's lips curved into a small smile. "It may be, but I'd do the same. As long as we're together, nothing else matters."

Diana exhaled softly and took another sip of her tea before tilting her head. "So… how does it feel? Becoming a dragon's mate?"

Heat rushed to Luna's cheeks as memories of that night surfaced—the moment he had marked her.

She remembered every moment of that night and whenever someone mentioned the mark, she thought back on the night he embraced her.

Diana caught the expression right away. It was the unmistakable glow of a maiden who had just stepped into womanhood. Her lips curled into a teasing smirk.

"Come on, tell me. Was he rough? Did he push you down and claim you? Or was he gentle, the kind we used to read in novels-"

"Diana!" Luna squeaked, her entire face turning crimson.

Diana laughed lightly. "I'm just teasing. Relax. But tell me this—does he plan on taking more wives?"

Luna drew in a deep breath, forcing herself to calm down. "He… he told me he'll need to form a bond with a female dragon for his core awakening. He explained it before he marked me. He gave me a choice that if I am not content with the idea, I can leave."

She kept her voice steady, but she chose not to mention Peri. Diana would only see it as betrayal—Hades already having another mate so soon after marking her. Luna knew the truth, knew the circumstances that had led to it… But she couldn't expect others to understand.

"And you are okay with it?" Diana asked with her brows raised. "You've rejected so many proposals in the past just to stay loyal to him. You never even tried dating and finding if you are compatible with another man-"

"Diana," Luna cut in firmly. "Hades is loyal to me. He never hid anything from me. And not once have I doubted my decision to stay loyal to him." Her gaze drifted to the seat where he had been sitting moments ago. Her voice softened. "I belong to Hades, and that will never change."

For a moment, Diana stayed silent. She was reminded again of just how deeply this girl was bound to Hades.

Finally, she let out a sigh. "Sorry if I sounded like a homewrecker. I just… want you to always be happy, Rinne."

Luna smiled warmly. "I know."

Diana pursed her lips, then smirked suddenly. "Alright let's talk about something else. Tell me—did you even bring that dress I told you to try on? Or did you shove it in a corner again?"

Luna blinked, caught off guard, before giggling softly. "You really won't give up on that, will you?"

"Of course not," Diana teased. "Honestly, if you spent half as much time thinking about dresses and jewelry as you do about him, you'd have him wrapped around your little finger."

The mood lightened, and Luna chuckled, her tension easing just as the two who had stepped out returned.

She rose nervously at first but relaxed when she saw Hades smiling at her.

Fiona stopped in front of Diana and asked, "Is lunch prepared?"

Diana gave a small nod. "Yes, it's ready to be served."

"Good," Fiona said. "Hades will be joining us at the table as well."

Luna's smile brightened as she brought Hades into a corner and asked in a hushed voice, "How did it go?"

Hades shrugged, "Better than I expected. She told me about you, about how you were. She asked me how I feel about you and then we were back."

Luna knew there was a lot more than he shared, and he never went into details. However, she didn't press him for that and said, "I am glad you two got along."
