Chapter 149: Why don't you all come and die together?
Ever since the battle at West Lake,
Jiang Shu's reputation had reached its peak within the Martial Artists Alliance.
After he posted his message,
comments flooded in immediately below.
Nobody had expected that a Grandmaster of Jiang Shu's standing would actually pay attention to this matter.
What's more, in those few short words,
he not only stated his position,
but also made it clear what he planned to do next!
"Grandmaster Jiang! Thank you, thank you. But really, you don't need to step in. Your fame is already spreading overseas, and once you leave the country, it might not be safe. No matter how arrogant the Burmese and Fusang people get, with us on guard, they won't dare to make any big moves."
"I guess, when Xia Country finally stands at the pinnacle of the world, they'll pay the price for what they're doing now."
"As long as Martial Arts keeps progressing, I know I'll live to see that day!"
Just a few minutes later,
Chen Yongze personally replied to Jiang Shu, his words filled with excitement.
"Yeah, there's really no need to go to Fusang. For a martial artist to unleash their maximum strength, they still need hot weapons. At the very least, they should have a cold weapon on hand. Right now, though, border checks are beyond strict. If you enter Fusang, Grandmaster Jiang, not only will you be tailed immediately, but you won't have any hot or cold weapons with you, so your combat power will instantly drop a notch."
"Exactly, Fusang isn't just some small nation. Their military power is legit, and their martial artists are tough as hell. Over there, they have Aikido, Karate, Iaido, Swordsmanship, Jiu-jitsu—each one has produced Grandmasters."
"Fusang's not just about Martial Arts, either. They follow the Freedom Country and have access to Genetic Potions. I'd bet there are plenty of tier-three gene warriors there, too."
"We're outnumbered, and their martial artists, being locals, surely all carry weapons. Going in alone, it's just way too risky."
"Right, and besides, Grandmaster Jiang, you must be at the key stage of advancing to Peak Grandmaster with Inner Pill. If word gets out that you're headed for Fusang now, you can bet their martial artists will come to take you down."
Other Dark Force martial artists also weighed in below with their comments.
Jiang Shu's Martial Arts might have been immense,
but that was in one-on-one battles.
*Faced with a siege by multiple Grandmasters, or even sniping from hot weapons, no matter how high your Martial Arts, you could still fall.*
*Wanting to go to Fusang and kill—they make it sound easy, but it's really about putting your life on the line!*
*Everyone felt a mix of admiration, worry, and anticipation.*
*After all, ever since the great upheaval, nations started closing their borders.*
*Even the number of students going abroad dropped sharply.*
*And they basically couldn't participate in gene or martial arts research.*
*With this kind of lockdown, real exchange is impossible.*
*Every country's martial artists thought their own Martial Arts were the strongest.*
*Grandmaster Jiang wasn't just going there to kill.*
*It was also about showing the strength of Xia Country's Martial Arts.*
*If he could take down one or two Fusang Grandmasters on the way,*
*it would be clear at a glance whose understanding of Martial Arts was superior.*
The Martial Artists Alliance platform was, of course, constantly monitored.
Soon after Jiang Shu's post was sent, in less than ten minutes, his phone suddenly rang.
It was a direct line from Shengjing.
An officer with a tough voice got straight to the point, laying out the details of the Fusang culprits.
"Grandmaster Jiang, once you get to Fusang, you can contact this number. Hot weapons and an alloy war blade are ready for you. We've stationed people near your parents' neighborhood in Ji City, just so you know. Rest easy."
"Starting today, Xia Country will have troops stationed along the coast, waiting for your triumphant return."
Dignity rested solely on the sword's edge.
Truth existed only within the range of artillery!
Three days later,
a cruise ship set sail from Xia Country.
Jiang Shu stood on the deck, his gaze stretching out across the endless sea and sky.
He had already cut off his long hair,
switching to a sharp crew cut.
At his current Realm, with just a surge of true qi, his hair would grow back naturally.
No need anymore to spend ages growing it out like before.
This was the latest on the first deck.
His facial features had been adjusted to look as plain and ordinary as possible.
Even so, Jiang Shu's Martial Arts Realm still made him stand out as remarkable.
Standing there on deck, he had already caught the eyes of plenty of girls.
"This cruise is gonna take half a month, wanna get acquainted? It's pretty boring traveling solo, you know."
Beside him, there came another girl's voice.
Her tone was a bit tipsy, swirling her wine glass in high heels, trench coat waist cinched by the wind, her necklace especially striking atop that white skin.
"Blending with heaven and earth, in a flower, a world; in a leaf, an awakening. Looking up at the sun and moon, down at rivers and mountains—how could I be bored?"
Jiang Shu replied.
The girl's words sounded like an invitation, a little wild.
*But in truth, his eyes sharpened, and he could sense the flow of yin and yang within her body.*
*He couldn't tell at a glance if she was a virgin.*
*But he could easily see whether she'd been with anyone recently.*
Besides, judging by how vibrant her energy and blood were, at the very least, she must have been a Bright Force martial artist.
No wonder she dared to travel alone.
At minimum, she could take down an ordinary thug with a single blow.
"That's so philosophical. Let me guess, your major couldn't have been philosophy in college, right?"
The girl stretched lazily, coming off as quite familiar. She practiced martial arts, but she was only a Bright Force martial artist.
She knew above Bright Force there was Dark Force, then Transforming Force.
But she had no clue about the mysterious peaks of the Martial Arts Realm.
*She just instinctively felt that, standing beside Jiang Shu, it was like basking in a warm spring breeze.*
