Chapter 12: Chapter 11: Festival
I revised and revised the canon chapters of Lookism and i want to say ghat if i wrote exactly everything that happened in the chapter as well the conversations i would spend 3 hours to write 1000 words, so i kinda improvised but the essence is that.
Do please forgive me for not writing 1 to 1 on what happened.

The wheel spun faster and faster, its vibrant colors merging into a blur before finally slowing to a halt. The word Festival glowed brightly on the wheel before the entire structure shattered into a cascade of glowing blue particles.
The particles wrapped around me, swirling like a cocoon. The next thing I knew, my vision went black.
When I opened my eyes, I was surrounded by a bustling crowd of students. The lively chatter, the occasional bursts of laughter, and the hum of activity all painted a picture of excitement. Stalls lined the outdoor courtyard, decorated with colorful banners and signs advertising everything from food to games.
The sweet smell of caramelized snacks and grilled meat lingered in the air, blending with the faint tang of sweat from the crowd. Above me, streamers and paper lanterns swayed gently in the breeze, adding to the festive atmosphere.
I glanced down at myself and noticed my clothes had changed. Instead of my usual attire, I now wore a crisp white button-up shirt tucked into beige pants, paired with a blue tie hanging loosely around my neck.
'J High's uniform.' I thought, straightening the tie with a small smirk. It was simple but fit well enough, blending me seamlessly into the crowd.
My attention was quickly drawn to a commotion ahead. A large crowd had gathered around a makeshift stage, where two girls were loudly competing in a heated bidding war.
On the stage stood a strikingly handsome guy, his perfect physique and chiseled features making him the center of attention. He looked nervous, shifting awkwardly under the weight of so many stares.
'Daniel Park.' I realized instantly, recognizing him in his perfect body from the manhwa.
The two girls arguing over him were Crystal, with her calm and commanding presence, and Lala Kim, who was visibly frustrated as she tried to outbid her opponent.
Crystal, with her flawless complexion and sharp features, was just as stunning in person as I'd imagined. Her beauty was comparable to Siyeon's, though her composed demeanor gave her an air of untouchable confidence.
I observed the scene quietly, already understanding where I was in the story. This was the infamous slave auction from the festival arc.
Shifting my gaze, I spotted other familiar faces in the crowd. To my left, Vin Jin was laughing loudly, his sunglasses glinting as he mocked Daniel. Mary Kim stood beside him, arms crossed and looking unimpressed, though there was a faint twitch of amusement on her lips.
On the other side, Jay Hong was nervously speaking to two girls at a stall, awkwardly asking if he could participate in the bidding for Daniel. His expression was earnest, but his request was clearly being ignored.
I ignored them and scanned the area again, my eyes settling on a figure standing calmly behind Crystal.
My body tensed immediately. His presence was suffocating, his aura heavy despite his relaxed posture.
Gun.
He stood there like an immovable wall, his sharp suit contrasting with the casual festival atmosphere.
'This guy.' I thought, swallowing hard. Gun was the epitome of power, ultra instinct, black bone, Yamazaki blood, PTJ's golden child. If this were a Chinese manhua, he'd be the Son of Heaven without question.
I forced myself to relax and looked back at the stage. Crystal placed her final bid, her calm voice cutting through the noise. The crowd fell silent as Lala Kim's jaw dropped in disbelief.
Crystal won the auction, as expected. She walked away gracefully, her posture as regal as ever, with Gun following silently behind her.
Daniel hesitated for a moment, clearly conflicted, but quickly rushed after her, his nervous expression still intact.
I stayed rooted in place, observing the scene as it played out exactly as it had in the manhwa.
'So far, everything's following canon.' I thought, keeping my distance.
The chatter of the crowd began to fade as my thoughts wandered. The system hadn't shown me anything else after the wheel spun. Whatever this episode was, I had a feeling it will be interesting.
I adjusted my tie and glanced around one last time before deciding to follow from a safe distance.
....
Jin kept his distance, blending into the crowd as Crystal walked ahead with Gun following closely behind her. Daniel trailed after them, his perfect face flushed with nervousness as he hurried to thank Crystal for saving him from the chaotic auction.
"Wait, Crystal!" Daniel called out, finally catching up to her.
She turned slightly, her sharp features calm and unreadable. Daniel bowed his head slightly, his voice genuine. "Thank you… for bidding on me. I don't know what I would've done if things had gotten out of hand."
Crystal's gaze didn't soften as she responded coldly, "Don't misunderstand. I didn't do this for you."
Daniel looked up, confused.
"Don't be arrogant just because you're handsome." she added bluntly, turning away to leave.
Jin, hidden behind a nearby stall, smirked. 'She's exactly like in the manhwa.' he thought.
As Crystal began walking away, Daniel reached out instinctively, his hand moving toward her shoulder. "Wait-"
Before he could touch her, Gun's hand shot out like lightning, gripping Daniel's wrist tightly.
The sudden motion froze Daniel in place, his eyes widening. Jin's smirk faded, replaced by genuine awe.
'That speed… I barely even saw it.'
Daniel tried to pull his hand back, his frustration bubbling over. "Get… Get off me!" he shouted, jerking his wrist free from Gun's grip.
Crystal turned, her composed expression cracking slightly in surprise. Even Gun raised a brow, momentarily intrigued by Daniel's strength.
Jin watched closely, noting every detail. 'Gun didn't even flinch. If anything, he's curious now.'
Gun's gaze hardened. "Scum." he muttered, his voice cold. Without warning, he moved, his leg snapping up in a blur toward Daniel's neck.
Daniel's mind raced. 'That speed… But my body can block it!'
Reacting instinctively, Daniel raised both his arms to shield himself.
But Gun's movements weren't linear. His foot twisted mid-air, the trajectory of his kick changing in an instant. The upward motion turned into a brutal Brazilian kick, his leg descending in an arc that crashed down onto Daniel's shoulder.
The impact was devastating. Daniel stumbled back, clutching his shoulder as the force rattled through his entire body.
Jin, still hidden, stared with wide eyes. He hadn't even seen the kick clearly, it had been a blur of motion, almost imperceptible. If he hadn't read the manhwa, he wouldn't have known what had just happened.
'Damn… That suppressed speed was old representative level, most likely!' Jin thought, his admiration for Gun's skill growing.
He leaned back against the stall, running a hand through his messy black hair as a grin spread across his face. 'This is insane. The Lookism world is on a completely different level than Reality Quest.'
The realization didn't intimidate him. If anything, it fueled his excitement. He couldn't stop grinning, the thought of reaching that level of power igniting something in him.
Suddenly, the Quest Panel appeared in his vision.
[Quest: Kick Gun with a Brazilian Kick.]
"Hah!?" Jin blurted out, his grin faltering as he read the words.
He stared at the panel in disbelief, then glanced back at Gun, who was calmly stepping back, his unreadable expression focused entirely on Daniel.
'Kick him… with a Brazilian kick?' Jin thought, his lips twitching into a nervous smile. "You've got to be kidding me."
