Chapter 39: Captive acquired

After we drowned ourselves with a little alcohol, we bought from the System we made our way back to the surface with the message I received from Moon

"You got younger from the last time I saw you," He said while the two of them searched the corpses of the homunculus

"I could say the same for you, it's like we're back in the good old days," He replied while he threw the corpse to the right side where they put the ones they'd search

"I have to ask how did you even wake up from your Coma I remember them telling me that you won't be waking up anytime soon," Morris was confused about his situation, and his encounter with Jin made him gain some mixed feelings he was afraid and happy at the same time

Their disabilities will be fixed, illnesses would be cured, and lastly, equality is its goal. I was stuck in a deep sleep dreaming about my old life before I met you until a message showed up. It asked me whether I want to participate and I agreed, next thing I knew was that I woke up in the White room. You're confused as well so you don't have a clue what's happening?" What Jin said made it weirder on his side of the story and he came to be confused about his transmigration

"That's weird I didn't get a message from the system, I only received an our books adaptation that's it," When he said those words Jin grabbed his clothes and pulled and their bodies brush against each other whilst he equips a deadly glare

"An email? You got an email did you accept their offer?" He stared directly at his eyes and he was immediately pushed back by his friend

"Settle down will ya! I'm not that dumb, who the hell would agree just because they heard that they're getting an adaptation? I just replied that I'll meet them face to face before you know I sign the contract," When he heard his explanation he calmed down right after, but this led to another question? Not even the author nor the editor himself was confused about their situation. The two of them were asking themselves if there was something that they did and yet nothing crossed the minds

"Sigh... I guess being transmigrated will remain a mystery to us for a long time. Let's get out of here I already checked the last corpse, I didn't see anything strange," Jin waited until Morris opened up a scroll that made a portal leading them through Esther and the others

'Allow me to introduce the portable Teleportation scroll it's a 300-token artifact that works wonders. It has 2 pairs of scrolls if the other one was opened the other pair will do as its pair would do. I attached the 2nd pair to Moon's back after I made them go through the workshop,'

"Mr. Morris your back! We've been waiting for your return, oh and who's this person behind you might be? A colleague or perhaps an acquaintance?" Blake said while the two of them saw themselves appearing in the infirmary where there were a bunch of injured in every corner they looked

"Yes, also where are the others?" Morris replied while he asked for the other members of his team

"They're in room 21 on the right side if you exit the infirmary," Blake replied while the two of them leave the room towards another location

"Aren't we going to check on your team?" Morris stayed silent and did not long after, he gave in and answered his question

"They're okay... I made sure they can survive before this trial even started so let's get going shall we? Our main character... He Dm me a while ago and said that he caught a person related to the changes. This might be the last chance I have in completing my secret roles mission," Morris said while Jin imagined most of the things that he would've done for it to be possible

They rushed to Hugo's destination when they heard about his message making them blindly pursue their only lead to this whole ordeal. Their search had led them to Hugo's room where they saw him heavily wounded and with a ton of bandages wrapped around his body. Whoever was in charge of covering his wounds exaggerated and instead of being a patient he would easily be confused as a mummified corpse

"What the hell happened to you?" Before he could do anything else he splashes a greater healing potion on Hugo's body. It had a quick effect and most of his injuries were healed but his body was still required to rest because of all his fatigue

"I'm cured? Did you use a healing potion on me? " Hugo was surprised when most of his life-threatening injuries disappeared whilst his savior pulled him closer to his side. "He's there in the next room the others are looking after him," Hugo was quickly released from his grasp and he was out of the room and head towards the next

Apprehend a follower of the Mad Alchemist. we need to catch a person who's related to their plans 1/1

Failure: 10 days. if you can't finish the mission in 10 days it'll automatically be a failure you'll face a contribution point drop]

'Yes!!! I finally finished my mission and it's a high-ranking follower!!! Bless my mc and his god-tier luck... What the hell! I need to wait for the mercenary role to finish their story quest before I proceed with the next story?'

"Morris, why did you storm in all of sudden can't you see that we're in the middle of an interrogation?" Yoona said while Morris entered the room

"Dude, It's been forever since I last saw you how are you... Come on guys the two of you are always looking for Morris and now he's here you go all tense? At least you should cut him some slack and enjoy his company isn't that right buddy?" Gale latched his arms on his neck and messes with his hair. But in this brief warmth, Shin and Yoona questioned his disappearance and why he suddenly appeared

"We didn't want to see him again, we're just concerned about his deal with Hugo," Yoona replied to Gale's tease while Shin remained silent

"Nice to see you guys as well. Guess being a nice person died out for the two of you, It's been a good reunion bye I'll be taking this guy with me," He said while the captive vanished onto thin air

"What did you do?" Shin pointed her knife at his back and another near his throat before they were stopped by Hugo's arrival

"Stop it, guys you need to hand over the captive to Morris, Jin has already filled me in on their situation. His role isn't a mercenary his a spy that works in secret hired by the workshop owner. He's here to get that man who's important for the progression of the trials," With his presence, the atmosphere of the entire room calmed down

'Oh what a good boy my son is for sticking out for his father, you know boy your friends are a little rough. Discipline them for me will ya!!!'

"Well, I'll get off of your hair, I've done what I need, im going to see my teammates adios... Wait I forgot something Hugo this is another potion I have, thanks for the help! I'll catch you on the flip side," He gave another greater healing potion, and he left right after their encounter. The two of them were now on their way to the room where it occupies his teammates

"You're telling me that you saved your first heroine?"

"Yep, also I met with another person who's a powerful side character in the later stages of our book,"

"Guess this will be our story,"

"You bet a story that we made a journey filled with mystery in every direction we go doesn't that sound fun?"

"I guess it is I'll let you lead the way," Jin said while the two of them walked into the room to find them asleep after a long fight that burns away the remains of their stamina

"They're asleep, let's not bother them they earned a few hours of rest after that whole invasion. Wanna get wasted again?" He closed the door whilst Jin nodded in agreement and they made their way to the exit in search of a tavern

"Yes, I will I'll gladly pay back my debt to you even if it cost me my life," Blake said while he continued to assist the injured players after he concluded his chat with his deity
