Naruto stared at Reika lying next to him, her head resting on his chest.

Who would have imagined that, in the end, the two of them would be together?

He still remembered when he refused to see Reika as a woman, with the image of her male version still fresh in his mind.

Naruto shook his head when that image returned, and a shiver ran through his entire body.

"Let's forget that forever..." he thought, his face tense as if he'd bitten a lemon.

Then he leaned slightly and kissed Reika's forehead before carefully pulling away and letting his head fall onto the pillow.

If he wasn't mistaken, and if nothing had changed, Akatsuki should have already sent two of its members to capture him.

One of them had to be Kisame Hoshigaki, known as the Monster of the Hidden Mist. A rogue ninja from Kirigakure, former member of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist.

And the other...

Naruto looked at Reika, a mix of doubt and regret darkening his gaze.

Should he tell her...?

Should he tell her that her brother Itachi was in the village?

He knew that, as she was now, Reika could stand up to him... but she still wasn't on his level.

If she faced Itachi, all she would gain was more hatred.

Naruto didn't want Reika to carry that burden.

He didn't want her heart, which was just beginning to heal, to fill with resentment again.

To live with hatred is to live with an open wound.

And he knew that better than anyone.

But if he didn't tell her...

If Reika found out later that Naruto had known everything from the beginning...

He couldn't imagine the look she would give him.

Pain. Betrayal. Frustration.

Three emotions he never wanted to see in her eyes again.

Naruto pressed his lips together.

He was going to have to decide soon.

...

When Naruto found them, to his surprise, Kisame and Itachi weren't surrounded by Asuma, Kakashi, and Kurenai, as he had thought.

In front of them stood Izuna Uchiha, Fugaku Uchiha, and Minato Namikaze.

Apparently, the rumors about the return of key figures in the village's history, like the Yellow Flash of Konoha, had spread to the other ninja villages.

Itachi had wanted to see with his own eyes if his father had really come back to life.

Fugaku had sensed his presence immediately and didn't hesitate to confront his eldest son.

This time, he wasn't going to let him get away so easily. There were too many unresolved matters… too much left unsettled.

"ITACHI!!" Reika's voice exploded beside Naruto, fierce and charged with restrained emotion.

Naruto had decided to tell Reika about Itachi. He couldn't look her in the eyes without revealing that her brother, the source of all her suffering, was in the village.

He simply couldn't keep it from her.

Naruto barely had time to react before she ran ahead, drawing her Chokutō.

For some reason, she still wasn't using the sword she had stolen from Orochimaru.

Kisame raised an eyebrow, grinning with a predator's smirk upon seeing Reika.

"Sibling reunion? How touching. Although..." he looked Reika up and down. "She doesn't seem too happy to see you, huh, Itachi?"

Itachi didn't respond.

His eyes, as calm as ever, settled on Reika, watching her as she closed in at full speed, sword raised.

Fugaku, for his part, didn't move. He simply observed the scene with a grave expression, arms crossed.

Both Izuna and Minato, seeing that Fugaku wasn't stepping in to support his daughter, also remained still.

"Reika..." Itachi finally murmured. "You shouldn't have come."

Reika closed the distance, wrapped in Lightning Armor. Each step left behind a deafening buzz.

"Itachi! I won't let you leave like it's nothing!" Reika shouted.

Itachi deflected her attack with a fluid motion, his expression unchanged.

Realizing her sister's impressive speed, Itachi was forced to activate his Sharingan to keep up.

Reika combined her speed with Chidori Eisō, piercing the ground as she missed by mere inches.

Itachi appeared behind her, taking advantage of her mistake, and brought her down with a series of precise blows, pinning her to the ground.

"You've improved... but you're still weak, Reika."

Itachi activated his Mangekyō Sharingan, and in that moment, the flow of battle changed completely.

Naruto realized that Reika had no chance against Itachi due to his Mangekyō Sharingan.

Itachi could have defeated her in seconds if he wanted to, but instead, he was toying with her.

"Tch… damn you..." Reika hissed, clenching her fists and teeth tightly.

It was then that Fugaku stepped forward, sternly watching his eldest son, no joy in his expression. His eyes darkened and slowly rotated, revealing his own Mangekyō Sharingan.

"Let your father handle this one, Reika," said Fugaku, never breaking eye contact with Itachi.

A dry, deep crack—like bone snapping under pressure—broke the silence as the ribcage of the Susanoo formed around him.

Itachi, upon seeing it, pressed his foot against Reika's back to keep her pinned to the ground while activating his own Susanoo.

Naruto, standing a few meters from Itachi and Reika, silently activated his own Mangekyō Sharingan.

"Sorry, Reika," he murmured to himself. "You need to see this. Only then will you become stronger."

Naruto didn't like having to do this, and he didn't even know if it would work, but he had to try.

Reika felt the world around her fade as reality began to distort.

Everything went black for her.

Then, he appeared.

Itachi, his Mangekyō Sharingan activated, his eyes glowing in the darkness.

In front of her, Fugaku fell to his knees, his gaze full of disbelief and pain. Before he could react, Itachi raised a hand and, with a single motion, pierced his heart with a kunai.

Blood gushed out in a thick, dark torrent as Fugaku collapsed backward, lifeless.

Reika wanted to scream, wanted to run, but her legs wouldn't respond.

She was forced to watch everything be taken from her again, unable to do anything to stop it.

Her mother, Mikoto, also appeared at her side, eyes filled with terror.

Itachi slowly turned to her, and without a hint of hesitation, launched a powerful fireball that lit the air before hurtling straight toward her mother.

Reika thought it would all end there, but the next was Naruto.

Her boyfriend, the person she loved more than anything, was struck by an invisible blast that slammed him into the ground with brutal force. His body twisted, bones breaking and skin tearing, until he lay motionless.

Reika felt her heart shatter into a thousand pieces.

She saw Itachi walking toward her, with the bodies of her loved ones piled behind him.

Her scream didn't come, trapped in her throat, as despair devoured her from the inside.

An unbearable burning ignited in the center of her eyes. Agony, despair, rage, and pain scorched her soul.

Her eyes burned, her breathing turned erratic.

Then, suddenly, the three tomoe of her Sharingan began spinning wildly.

The three tomoe slowly fused, spinning faster and faster.

Reika's Mangekyō Sharingan had awakened, lighting up her face filled with rage and hatred.

With a gasp, she quickly realized that everything she had seen was just an illusion.

Then, the scene around her shattered and vanished, returning her to reality.

Seeing that his plan had worked and that Reika had awakened the Mangekyō Sharingan, a faint smile appeared on Naruto's face.

Trusting in his girlfriend and in Fugaku, he left the fight against Itachi to them and slowly turned toward Kisame, who was already watching him with a predator's grin.

"You know… ever since I took the Kubikiribōchō from Zabuza, I've developed a new hobby," said Naruto, walking toward him as he calmly cracked his neck.

His gaze locked onto the bandaged sword Kisame carried on his back.

"I like to take other people's swords and add them to my collection," he added with a half-smile. "And, well… turns out Samehada is at the very top of my list."

Kisame chuckled darkly, grabbing Samehada with one hand.

"Try it, brat…" Kisame growled, raising his head slightly, his voice deep and threatening. "I'll tear you apart with my Samehada."
