Chapter 4: Underground
In the underground the unconscious Vermouth lay on the ground. Surrounded by what seems to be patches of flowers.
"What do we have here", A flower thought as it inspected the body. A flicker of interest lay on the flowers face, as if it had found something entertaining to do.
Yet the body of the boy soon vanished into thin air as if it was not there in the first place.
"How interesting", unknown to the flower his smile twisted into something unatural.
A caretaker of the ruins lay on and about ehile adjusting her room. She checked to see her cabinets for whatever was in store for her.
Thanks to muffet she could have access ro certain delacacies, even when isolated from other areas of the uderground muffet still had a way to bring in food from the outside.
Toriel enters her home preparing her home bake butterschotch pie. A reminder of some of the fallen humans reamins deeply in her memories.
Hence why everyday she would eat and bake at least one of these peies. All of them seemed to love it after having a taste.
"I wish things coukd be different", she thinks with a grimace. Her expression then shifted into melancholy.
Down in the ruins although . Monsters are still in despair desiring to once again reach the surface.
Try as she might she can't convince the monsters in the ruins to halt their attacks on humans and reconsider. All she could do was stall them by intimidation.
Thankfully toriel had at least managed to calm down their aggression significantly enough for them to be spared.
"Chara, asriel my children I hope that wherever you are your safe and happy". Toriel says in wonder. She clings on to the side of her attire.
Walking throughout the ruins she heads towards the golden flowers.
Mysteriously she spots an individual sitting atop golden glowers. An individual lay on top of them instead doning a peculiar set of clothes.
In worry Toriel of the ruins carefully examines the man as she hastily closes in on him. Looking at him properly though she can't help but think he's human.
Though somrthing is telling her that she was close, but far from the truth of the matter. Checking his breathing, which seems to be laboured she Toriel gazes in worry.
Looking at him closely however she is shocked to see that her previous observation is wrong he was simply a child.
Concentrating toriel realeases a warm orange glow, slowly his breathing starts to get
slower.
With a sigh of relief toriel closes her eyes, only to then see the mysterious boy disapear.
In a panic she looks around, only to see nothing else next to her in sight.
In a chilly area of snowdin residents go on with their daily lives. Though residents are just as effected from the war, they still live somewhat peacefully.
Along with the royal guard, residents are able to go on with their day safe and happy with their lives.
A new resident enters the snowdin town, a man known as W.D gaster. Entering what seems to be a newly established pub.
A flickering flame, tends toward the pub carefully ensuring its residents receive a warm welcome.
Strolling in the pub, he spots a familiar face. A long time customer greets him without fail.
" Ah grillby how lovely to see you, What a fine morning". Gaster greets him using a sign, to symbolize his drink.
With a nod grillby greets the man with a nod. Ushuring himself into the caraven, he carefully brings out a pack of premium goods.
"Ah lovely as always grillby, but I only need a regular glass". Gaster replies in response grillby looks at gaster in what seems to be confusiion.
Loking reluctantly, grillby keeps the box of premium goods and grabs a regular glass of milk. Though he signals to gaster towards the premium set of goods causing him to chuckle.
"Yes yes maybe next time, apiloguemies butI can't afford to have such an intoxicating good on this special occasion". Gaster says as he stars up into the sky.
Seemingly out of nowhere gaster manifests a paper contract with grillby. While finishing his glass of milk he turns to leave the bar.
Distracted grillby could not stop him in time, only to then read the content of it carefully. His hand then extinguishes it out of existence, as he rushes out of the door of his bar only to see no one at all.
A small little bundle of joy named papyrus runs through the room. The little house in snowdin, where he lives with gaster.
"Papyrus I'm home," gaster announces as papryrus rushes towards the front door.
Raising his hand up in the air, papyrus tries to reach the top of gasters body.
"Oh silly goose today is a special day." Gaster chuckles as he cradles papyrus in his arms.
Slowly both of them ascend the stairs in an unused room. Papyrus was always told kot to go in that room. Leadng him to look at gaster in confusion.
Noticing his gaze gaster smiles, slowly he enters the room holding a certain boy. His former name being discarded, a plan for him to be born anew.
"I wonder if there are any problems, with the corrections of this timeline.", Gaster wonders "How inriguing".
Papyrus though young coul not help but feel a sense of connection with the boy. He didn't know why, but he smiled and giggled happily at the sight of him. Feeling as if he was someone he has known all his life.
Gaster makes a gesture to papyrus. Casuing him to fall silent eith a nod. Carefully he shakes the boy.
Stirring awake the boy grunted, Looking in confusion at his surroundings. Thr only thought in his mind being "Who am I?".
"Ah sans I see that your well". Gaster says as a matter of fact. Sans twitches his body feeling a bit sore. Though je feels refreshed as if something energized him before coming here.
"Sans is that my name", sans asks gaster wanting any sesne of information. His normality having been shattered.
"Why yes that is your name, this is your brother papyrus". Gaster points towards papyrus. Papyrus makes a gurgle, as his arms reaches towards sans. Slowly gaster puts papyrus on top of sans.
Carefully sans reaches forward holding papyrus. His heart bursting in joy feeling a sense of boding. With joy papyrus reaches towards sans and touches his cheek. Smiling sans starts playing with papyrus.
Gaster exits the room, slowly walking in to his lab. The machine lights up, a tall computer that seems to be calculating something.
"timelines and anomalies continue to flow left and right" Gasters days to no one particular. "Yet something new has taken place, the flower may be in control currently though not for much longer".
