Yue Ran could not help but ask, "What does it mean to violate the rules of heaven?"

"I am sorry, my Lord," Hai Bing Tu said apologetically. "I do not know much about it myself," she admitted. "I have only heard a storyteller recount it as entertainment for guests in a certain teahouse that I had visited long back in the past."

Sensing the distress and apology coming from Hai Bing Tu through their connection, Yue Ran knew that Hai Bing Tu was not lying, so she did not bring up the subject again.

"Yes, my Lord," Hai Bing Tu answered with a nod of confirmation. "The spiritual power in his body is of pure ice element," she explained. "My Lord, if you get in contact with him, you can alleviate the pain that seemingly penetrated deep into your bones when using your spiritual power."

"Really?" Yue Ran asked.

"Yes, my Lord," Hai Bing Tu answered.

After Hai Bing Tu said so, Yue Ran took a moment to think before deciding to accept the little demon beast from Hai Bing Tu and hold it in her arms. The restless little demon beast now appeared very quiet and docile. He seemed to be painfully shy as he leaned his small frame against Yue Ran.
