~VI – Manifest Destiny~
After the coronation there was a small gathering to celebrate the four Horsemen, the group that the Holy Mother has put together.
He wasn’t fashioning late but he was on time. He was a tall and muscular man wearing a dark trench coat who arrived in a motorcycle at the entrance. He had short black hair, a full-grown-out dark beard, with brown eyes, and had a pale complexion.
He stared at the valet and tossed in this keys, “easy on the throttle. You don’t need that much torque.” He got off the bike and patted the valet on the shoulder.
He jogged in and bypassed security. Surveying the area, he knew that all of the big fish from the third revelation was here. However he was able to spot Ralphonse easily.
Or in this case, Ralphonse spotted him, “Bain!” He yelped.
Ralphonse sprinted to him with his high heels as he gave him a hug.
“My Lord! Or should I say, father?” Bain being polite.
Ralphonse rolled his eyes, “don’t you start!” He joked. “Come on! I found us a place!”
Being led by the arm by Ralphonse, and a short red gown, this didn’t hurt Bain’s masculinity. He got to know the young man in a very early age. For him, this was normal, and he accepted.
Now they were out of sight and out of mind of all the people gawking at him, for good reason, but they needed to talk.
“Since I am a part of the Horsemen now, that means I have so much access to whatever it is I need. Was wondering if I could actually take a look at the last Scriptures of Claymore.” Ralphonse said.
This made Bain smile, “well, congratulations. And no.”
He then proceeded to walk away with Ralphonse’s clicking of his heels not to far from him, “but you said I could!”
“Do you want me to get court-martialed?” Bain reminded.
“I don’t know what’s the big deal. It’s only three pages! I’m probably not be able to read the text on that piece of paper!” Ralphonse complained.
“If you know what it is and you can’t read it, though I try to read it?” Bain making common sense.
“Because I am trying to trick you into having me see it…” Ralphonse admitted.
They will turn around to see a pouting yet puffy eyed Ralphonse who was about to cry.
“It’s just stories, Ralphonse, only stories. The last Scriptures of Claymore is this fairytale. Kinda like the Magna Carta. Or the holy Grail. And yes, fairytales do come from the truth. But with those truths should never see the light of day.” Bain explained.
“So… Maria--”
“Should never be trusted. At all.” Bain said with a scowl. “She knows damn well you are too young. He barely even know the inner workings of the Third Rev but you went from altar boy to this?”
“Hey! I put the work in, man!” Ralphonse proudly said… In his feminine voice.
“I know you have, but even she knows you are not in the same level as Kenneth or Charles on his worst day. Don’t mention anything about Lorelei.” Bain explains. “I’m just saying, even now, you cannot be comfortable. You think that you’ve made it, but only this far. I don’t like it, Ralph. Not one damn bit.” Him being cautious.
Ralphonse frowns, “you’re always worrying about me. And you need to stop.” He then gave Bain a big hug. “You trained me, remember? I can take care of myself even when you’re not here.”
“I hope so,” Bain said as they broke the hug. He then scrutinized his appearance, “is that new moisturizer?”
Ralphonse watched as he smiled, “I’m using avocado and coconut oils now.”
Bain nodded with a smile, “well, it’s working for you!”
