Progenitor Vampire: I Have Many Skills!

Chapter 607: Tranquillity

Numerous terrifying golems seemed to rise from the ground, created from the rocks, concrete, and all kinds of nearby materials that fortified them to an absurd degree. They seemed to have tremendous destructive power between them, as they shook the earth and destroyed a portion of the ground beneath their feet as they walked.

There were hundreds of them.

At the same time, hundreds of stakes of rock fortified by the power of destruction emerged from the ground and shot towards some golems and towards Matthew.

Those who attacked the golems managed to destroy them as if they were tofu. The scattered rocks from the destroyed golems clung to each stake, becoming strengthened with a tremendous power of destruction. They then continued on their way towards Matthew in a frenzy of destructive power.

The rest of the golems accompanied the stakes with a great roar.

Then, Leader Becker leapt into the air again and stopped right above Matthew: "Time to die," he said.

In the distance, Gray Allen and several others stopped suddenly.

"That bastard finally seems to be serious. I haven't seen his army of golems for hundreds of years, and they seem to have grown enormously stronger," said Gray as he jumped to the side to avoid his current opponent.

"Help the Young Master!" he shouted, trying to get closer, but then he saw Matthew raise his hand to stop him.

'Isn't it necessary?' he thought in shock. 'Does he have a way of fighting all that? Even if it is him... His fighting power is very low now, and he is injured, right?'

His mind reeled. Suddenly, he felt he did not understand Matthew's gestures. Perhaps it was an ancient gesture to ask for help?

When he seemed confused by this and planned to help, Matthew gave him a final admonishing look.

"…He doesn't want me to get involved." He thought immediately, understanding his gestures.

So he stopped next to the rest of those who were thinking of going to help.

For a moment, the destructive battle in the city stopped. Everyone felt anxiety, and the question of who would win was still up in the air.

Although logic told them that Becker should win resoundingly and without any opposition, they thought that would happen from the moment Matthew decided to face the Leader, but it did not happen.

On the contrary, Matthew won the previous battle, breaking one of his rival's arms and forcing him to use all his power.

But now, one of the Leaders of the current Vampire Race was using his maximum power. One he hadn't used for hundreds of years and one he fully trusted that even Gray Allen would have trouble dealing with.

And the other side, although amazing in every way, was still too far away in real combat power. What would happen?

The unknown brought combat to a halt in every corner of the city as people watched this enormous, one-armed figure and his army of terrifying golems face a small, ragged, and bloodied figure who seemed to be at the end of his tether but still stood tall as ever.

Matthew smiled slightly at the sight.

"In the past, a few years ago, I fought tirelessly like a ruthless assassin who did not dare to attack head-on unless I used all my icy power. But things have changed."

"That assassin of Earth seems to have grown up."

"I no longer hide behind a tank to do the most damage, nor do I use my icy power to cause catastrophe."

"I guess I've understood my true path, but I'm even different from what I was 10 million years ago, so I must say I've evolved."

"In the ancient era, I would take this fight personally, and until I had finished you off head-on, I wouldn't give up, and I would probably fight head-on for the whole fight despite the disadvantage. If I fought like on earth, you would no longer exist or be a block of ice."

"But now I will take neither path."

As he spoke, that powerful attack still clung to him and came closer with every step. He was in a situation where he could die at any moment, but he didn't stop.

He continued to speak.

"I will show you why I am superior to you and why your biggest mistake was to face me. You could have survived in this fight against Gray Allen or one of those new leaders. But you have chosen the wrong one."

"Why was betraying me a mistake? Now you will understand, little descendant."

Suddenly, Matthew's aura seemed to disappear for a brief moment, and his appearance became illusory just as attacks from all directions came at him.

His body suddenly vanished from existence, shocking many of the spectators.

'Disappeared? Was he destroyed in just an instant? He really was on his last legs...'

'Was it a cry for help?'

Many were in shock, with confused thoughts and minds that gradually descended into the blankness of not knowing what to think.

But then Matthew's aura reappeared.

This time, he was a long way from where he had been before, a movement that no one expected to happen in a matter of seconds. He was standing right before Leader Becker, and one of his hands was pressed against his chest.

His dangerous gaze radiated deadly power, his eyes glowing a deep red. He even appeared disinterested, as if the man in front of him were nothing more than a silly fly firmly stuck to a mountain.

"You are just a tool for my skills to develop. You should have waited for my arrival if you wanted to see your clan shine, but you decided to ally yourself with traitors, even though you all knew about it already. After all, as those in control of the Forbidden Libraries, how could you not have known?"

"That is why you were a tool and how you will remain in everyone's memory as a tool."

Immediately, his hand, which seemed to be holding on to something in his chest, retracted slightly, causing Leader Becker to shudder with fear as he felt his abilities begin to detach from his body, taking his power and his blood with them.
