Chapter 83: 82. In Search of Shelter Part 3
Chapter 82
- Oz. Is it just me or is the system making fun of me? - I asked the raven, stunned.
"I don't think so," Oz replied with poorly concealed amusement in his tone.
- Haaah, better not to think about it. - I sighed heavily, leaning my elbows on the back of the chair.
"What am I supposed to do for these 3 hours?" I muttered, looking at the ceiling.
- My lady, I am sure there is at least one matter that you should take care of.
- Yes? What? - I looked at the raven with curiosity.
- For example, find out the positions and who is responsible for what among your vassals.
"Yes, I suppose it really is necessary," I nodded cautiously.
- In that case, I suggest we begin.

3 hours later.
I left the room with a feeling of newfound freedom. Of course, I understood that I had a whole world inside me. But I thought of it as a small world the size of a small country, where I am the ruler, and also have my own personal army, various ministers, advisers and mayors of cities. And as it turned out, it's time for me to be called an empress. After all, if it weren't for the brain pumped up when I received six eyes, I would have gone crazy before I could learn even half the names. There are more than a hundred vassal kings alone, and accordingly, kingdoms. It's good that rebellion and other internal problems do not threaten me, because they all swore allegiance with their own souls in exchange for the eternal existence of their kingdoms. Which happens from cycle to cycle. The only downside to this is that in each subsequent cycle, the kingdoms are populated almost from scratch. However, even so, I don't want to accept everyone into my world. I want to take those who will truly be happy with a new home and will not shake the stability of this house. I even have several different races from different worlds in mind, but it's still too early for them, first I myself need to become stronger.
Still lost in thoughts about my world and how much I would have to expand my plans to plunder the resources of the countries of this world, I came to the kitchen, which had traditionally become the gathering place in this house.
I wasn't the first to arrive; Takashi and Saya were already sitting at the table, which, by the way, was set for our entire company.
- Have you discussed everything yet? - I asked the time traveler.
- Yes, - Takashi confirmed. - I think there won't be any problems with quickly convincing Saya's parents.
"Okay," I nodded, noting that he called the girl by name without any suffixes. Maybe their eternal arguments were really something like mating games among animals?
"And this?" I asked, pointing to the laid table.
"We decided that we shouldn't set off hungry, so I prepared dinner," Takashi answered me in a tone full of confidence in his culinary skills.
This even amused me a little. After all, although they say that the way to a man's heart is through his stomach, it is also true the other way around. What girl would be against her chosen one being able to cook amazingly. The main thing is not to misunderstand this phrase. Because some people try to find the way to a man's heart by hitting that very stomach.
- Yes, you're probably right about that. With a large number of survivors, you won't be able to cook much, and teasing hungry people isn't the best idea.
Having sat down at the table, I began to examine the dishes prepared by the guy. It seemed that the time traveler decided to show that he could cook no worse than the chefs of restaurants, otherwise I don't know how to explain how much effort he put into the design and variety of dishes, when he only managed to collect all the necessary products. Here is a soup of fish, shellfish and some nuts with herbs, flounder with tomato chips, soy sauce ubiquitous in Japan and, of course, meat with rice. To be honest, it all looked extremely appetizing.
- Gojo-sama, we also discussed a little, and wanted to ask you to allow us to get provisions from the grocery stores along the way. If we provide provisions, it will create a good impression of us and will greatly facilitate the negotiations. - Saya addressed me.
- Okay. - I agreed, not seeing anything wrong with that, and even decided to check with Takashi. - Does your spatial pocket have stasis or any restrictions on the weight it can carry?
- There are no weight restrictions, we have stasis, - the time traveler answered laconically.
- In that case, if the refrigerators in the stores are still working, you should take more meat, in general, you know perfectly well what you will need without me. - Having started to give advice, I remembered that they should have enough brains without me to figure out how to use the spatial pocket, and in the meantime, the others slowly began to arrive, who seemed to feel awkward from my presence, otherwise I don't know how to explain that they silently sat down at the table, even the little girl who was huddled close to the nurse, seeing the strange behavior of those around her, restrained the curiosity with which she looked at me and sat quietly.
Deciding that it would be easier for them if I followed Japanese traditions, I folded my palms in front of me.
- Itadakimasu. - I said at the same time as the others, and began to eat. Honestly, I was glad that I didn't have to spend hours learning how to eat elegantly with chopsticks while maintaining perfect posture, that would have been excruciating.
If everything is silent. To be honest, this was a bit annoying. I wouldn't really bite them.
- I must admit, Komuro, your culinary skills are worthy of a restaurant far from the last. The meat platter turned out especially well, I will definitely let you try my personal version of this dish in the future.
- Thank you for the praise. Remembering what you fed us last time, I'm sure it will be delicious. - the guy supported the beginning of the conversation. - By the way, I was wondering, did it turn out that you visited our world?
- In a way, by accident. I was looking for worlds where I could train in peace. Among the main search criteria were post-apocalyptic and zombie apocalypse worlds. You could say that among the countless similar worlds, you pulled out a lottery ticket. - I chuckled.
- So, all this that is happening was inevitable? - Yuki asked Miku in a dull voice.
- Even if I had arrived not on the day of the apocalypse, but a week before, I would not have had the strength to change anything at the moment. I am still at the beginning of my journey. Having come, I will come to you for several decades, or maybe even centuries, then things would be different, but at the moment, I can only help find a safe place and give strength for protection, and in the future, with the feasible power of Takashi Komuro, the possibility of creating a real techno-magical civilization.
"I can understand why Takashi would negotiate on behalf of our group, but how is he connected to everything else?" Rei's mother asked.
- So, it was he who taught me to give strength to others. - I said with a grin, watching the time traveler groan under the intent gaze of those around him, realizing that now he would have to prepare a whole portion of explanations.
