Chapter 157: Starting The Mysterious Trial...
Just as Luka wanted to relate with them more, a voice came from the crowd; it was the voice of a young lady.
"Haha, so Master was right; I will truly find you here!" Aurora's face held a smile, and with a few leaps, she quickly reached the location where Kranos and the others were.
"As expected, she is here," Kathryn sighed internally, but she wasn't worried. If it was anywhere else, her expression would have changed, but here? She had nothing to be worried about.
Seeing the extremely beautiful lady, who was at the same level of beauty as Kathryn, Luka felt his body heat up slightly, but he managed to keep his composure and just remained looking at her, watching how things would play out.
"You! You really ran quickly last time, didn't you?" Aurora was furious as she stared at them.
Kranos furrowed his brows. He didn't know why, but he didn't like this girl. "Since I'm not interested in coming with you, there is no need to push it," he said coldly.
"He is right; you shouldn't pressure someone to do something against their will. Just go along now." Kathryn, who was by the side, also added with a sneer, causing Kranos and Kevin to look at her with slight surprise. They had never seen this side of her before.
Aurora's brows instantly flared with anger. Without any hesitation, her figure blurred, and ignoring spatial restrictions, she appeared in front of Kathryn, her palm reaching out to strike Kathryn.
A small smirk formed at the corner of Kathryn's lips. However, even though she could react in time and block the attack, she just remained standing there, watching the attack.
"You!" Aurora was stunned, but she didn't slow down her attack in the least bit. Just as her palm was a few inches from hitting Kathryn, she felt a wave of pressure descend on her. She had no strength to resist and was forcefully crushed to the ground.
At that moment, a strange, mysterious voice appeared in everyone's mind.
"Aurora has received the first warning. Everyone is given three warnings, and on the fourth, they will be crushed to death. Do not attack your opponents."
Hearing the voice, everyone was stunned. Kranos glanced at Kathryn from the corner of his eyes. Did she predict this? From Kathryn's strange behavior, causing Aurora to attack her, to the warning from the mysterious voice, Kranos felt as though Kathryn had predicted everything.
But how's that possible? Many thoughts passed through Kranos' mind, but he didn't voice his thoughts.
Aurora slowly stood up and wiped the blood from the corner of her mouth. She glared at Kathryn angrily but didn't move to attack once again. Instead, she walked to Kranos' side and stood.
"Since you want to chase me away, then I won't leave. You are definitely coming with me this time after everything is over!" Aurora sneered and moved closer to Kranos as he spoke, causing Kranos to frown slightly.
If it wasn't for the fact that he had heard the warning already, he would have instantly killed her. What if I deliver a strike to kill her instantly while pausing time? With that, the mysterious voice shouldn't be able to react, right?
The thought bloomed in Kranos' mind, and he couldn't remove it anymore. His time and Dao Core revolved slightly, and immediately a wave of essence seeped out.
Before anyone could react, they had been frozen in time. Then, Eternal Hunger appeared in his hand, and he moved, instantly striking towards her head. Since time was paused, Aurora didn't even know she had been attacked.
In the blink of an eye, her head had been crushed. At that moment, time flow also returned to normal.
"Kranos has received two warnings for trying to kill a fellow opponent." The mysterious voice also appeared in everyone's mind. At this, Kathryn and the others turned to look at Kranos in shock; they didn't even see him attack.
Kranos' eyes also widened in shock. Why did the voice say I tried to kill? Could it be… He quickly turned around to see Aurora looking at him with a death stare. If looks could kill, Kranos felt that she would have definitely killed him many times over.
How are you not dead? Kranos was filled with shock; his face held many questions, but since he couldn't get the answers to any of them, ignoring the death stare from Aurora, who was right beside him, his expression returned to normal, and he turned to stare ahead. Meanwhile, his thoughts couldn't be stopped, as Kranos was greatly curious about this.
Could it be the mysterious voice that had resurrected her? For a moment, Kranos felt that this guess was right. However, just then, the mysterious voice sounded again…
"Yaoyin has received three warnings for killing a fellow opponent." Everyone's attention was drawn to a figure not too far away who held a young man, who had been split in two, in his hand.
Kranos glanced at them and got his answer. So, it wasn't the mysterious realm that had resurrected her? Then… could it be her master? Or does she have an ability to resurrect? Kranos' thoughts were still running wildly.
Just then, Luka's voice interrupted the crowd.
"Kranos, you've gotten so strong!" Luka praised, turning to Kranos.
Kranos just smiled faintly but didn't say anything. Luka shrugged, then turned to Kathryn and Kevin…
"Did you miss me? I didn't think we would meet so soon." He was slightly startled, but thinking about it, Kathryn and the other two were exceedingly rare geniuses, so it was normal that he would find them here.
"There's no need to overthink it. Quite a while has passed since the last time we met. How are you doing?" Kathryn smiled faintly, then asked.
Luka just laughed, then stopped suppressing his aura. Immediately, a strong pressure was released. Peak of the Monarch Realm!

Kranos' eyes widened in shock. How the hell did he cultivate? The last time I met him, he was in the Dao Palace Realm! For a moment, Kranos thought Luka had hidden his cultivation but quickly shook his head at the thought. It couldn't be right.
Just then, a large bang immediately resounded throughout the whole platform… The next stage of the inheritance ground had begun!
…
With the sound of the loud boom, a voice, cold and devoid of emotion, resonated from thin air, encompassing the entire platform.
"Welcome, inheritor, to the Crucible of Relics. Prove your worth. Within this arena lie Nine Core Relics, each imbued with a fragment of the true inheritance."
Instantly, the terrain began changing slightly. The solid ground started to dissolve into sand, turning the entire platform into a vast desert in an instant. The skies also twisted to a burning red, and in the blink of an eye, the whole world had been altered.
Although the exact locations of the relics weren't fully described, everyone could feel a peculiar pull in different directions within their hearts. It was as though they could sense the whereabouts of the relics. Kranos glanced at Kathryn and Kevin, who stood nearby.
They also felt the same strange sensation.
Kathryn turned to Luka and said with a smile, "Why don't you come with us?"
Luka was momentarily stunned by the invitation but quickly nodded. "That sounds like a good idea." At Luka's agreement, Kathryn looked pleased.
"Hmph," Aurora, who was by the side, sneered and folded her arms. "I'm also coming with you all."
"My eyes are on you!" She turned to Kranos with a death stare. She knew Kranos had killed her, and if it wasn't for her master, she would have definitely died. Fortunately, Master had given her that. She was pleased; that treasure basically guaranteed her life, so she had nothing to worry about.
"How do we go about this? There are only nine relics. Should we join hands and search for them one after the other? Or should we individually go to find our own treasures?" Kranos asked curiously, his attention turning to a few God Realm cultivators not too far away.
He knew that going individually would make it difficult to secure the relics, but the thought still lingered.
Kathryn didn't even think for long and immediately decided. "We will, of course, go together. Do you think it will be that easy to get the relics? Besides… one of the relics is a soul treasure." She glanced at Kranos with a knowing look when she reached this point.
"So, we need to ensure we get it in the end. Probably, after this, we will no longer have access to these treasures." Kathryn spoke calmly; however, Kranos understood her thoughts.
Knowing Kathryn, she didn't make guesses lightly. It seemed they would no longer have access to the other relics after this stage of the inheritance ground. Kranos sighed. The next stage of the inheritance ground would undoubtedly be even more challenging.
Fortunately, he had allies to compete for the relics with Kathryn and Kevin, who he had been with for a while; the mysterious Luka; and the playful Aurora, whose true strength remained unknown. But for her to resurrect after he had killed her, it could only mean she was far from ordinary.
