Primordial Awakening: I Can Evolve My Skills Infinitely

Chapter 86: Easy Victories, Battle Archive and Prophecy

The next few days passed quickly inside the [Battle Kingdom].

Each day, Sam entered the [Battle Realm] and fought. And each day, he won.

By the time the fifth day ended, he had just walked out of another effortless victory—this time against a level 5 Expert-rank elf. The fight barely lasted a minute. Sam hadn't even broken a sweat.

He glanced at the status panel hovering above him.

---

[Sam Walker]

[Battles Fought: 5]

[Wins: 5]

[Battle Tokens: 150]

---

His token count had steadily risen. On the second day, he had 30. The third day gave him another 30. The fourth gave 40. And now the fifth had granted 50 more.

'So it does increase with every fight,' Sam thought.

But even with that, the total still wasn't enough to reach the 500 Battle Tokens he needed for the [Forsaken Skill Scroll], the ultimate prize.

Something didn't add up.

'If nobody can reach 500 just from winning battles, then there has to be another way to earn them… or it wouldn't exist at all.'

Sam didn't believe in pointless bait. That scroll was real. It had to be possible. The question was how.

Still, even if his mind was fixated on that, he hadn't stopped checking on the girls.

Lily, Alicia, and Chloe had all done well. Impressively well, in fact.

They were now going up against level 3 to 5 Expert-rank awakeners, just like him. And while their fights were longer and more intense, they were still managing to win.

"They all underestimated us," Lily laughed, stretching her arms after her latest win. "And now look at us! I should be able to buy a good bow now!"

"I think we should stop soon though," Alicia said quietly. She glanced around nervously, her voice more serious than usual. "Most of the weaker Expert ranks are probably gone by now…"

"…Which means we'll be going up against Master-rank awakeners next," Chloe finished the thought, frowning slightly. "If not Master, then Ascendants."

It was an unspoken truth between them. From here on, things were going to get dangerous, deadly, even.

Sam would be fine. They all knew that. His power was overwhelming, and his victories were too consistent.

But for them? Even if they were winning now, there was no telling how much farther they could push.

As for Seraphine, Sam had kept quiet tabs on her progress as well.

She was already level 10 of the Master rank, and unsurprisingly, she had dominated every one of her fights.

Her strength was unquestionable.

The total number of awakeners had dropped drastically by this point.

Between deaths, forfeits, and people leaving after claiming rewards, only a few thousand remained across both races.

Even the elves, confident as they were, had started pulling out. Not everyone wanted to risk it all, even for rare items.

And then, once all fifth-day fights concluded, a system-wide message appeared.

Ding!

[The "Battle Archive" is now available. You may now view the battles of any awakener by name.]

Just one new feature this time.

Sam blinked at the announcement, then looked up at the sky as thousands of awakeners around him did the same.

'That's interesting,' he thought. 'So now anyone can spy on someone else's fights.'

He personally didn't care about watching others.

His focus was on his own path. But he knew there were many out there who would be eager to see who was winning, and how.

And now, their eyes could turn toward him.

'I still need to figure out how I'm getting those 500 Battle Tokens…'

The scroll remained in his mind, a constant reminder of the potential still locked away.

For now, though, Sam turned to the girls.

"So," he asked, crossing his arms, "what are you three going to do? I'm staying, obviously. But you don't have to push your luck."

The three girls looked at one another. Sam could tell they had already been thinking about it.

They were the heroines of the [Forsakened] game. He knew that. But that didn't mean they were immortal.

Sure, they'd grow stronger with time. That much was clear. But right now, they were vulnerable. Too vulnerable.

Alicia stepped forward first, grinning.

"I'm done," she said confidently. "I've got enough for that sword I want and a little extra. No point dying for greed."

"I'm out too," Alicia added, nodding firmly. "I trust you'll finish this. Honestly, it feels like you're just getting started."

Sam smiled faintly.

And then Chloe spoke.

"I'm staying," she said, her voice clear and eyes glowing with emerald light. "The item I want costs 200 Tokens. I need one more win."

Sam raised a brow but said nothing. He respected her decision. They all had their own paths.

Later, the group made their way back to the [Battle Castle].

Lily and Alicia went to the artifact displays with excitement in their steps.

They had earned their victories, and now it was time to cash in.

Alicia, with her full 150 Tokens, went straight for what she had in mind: the [Blessed Sword of Orphelia] for 100 Tokens, and the [Shield of Eternity] for 50.

"Perfect!"

Lily, meanwhile, browsed more slowly.

"I'm a [Magical Archer]," she mumbled to herself. "So I need a powerful bow… or maybe a staff that boosts spell output."

"What about the [Staff of Oblivion]?" Sam asked, pointing toward one display. "It boosts magical power and reduces cast time."

"Yeah, but it only costs 50 Tokens," Lily replied, scanning the next rows. "That's not what I'm aiming for. I want something huge."

She kept going deeper into the higher-priced section.

And then she found it. Her eyes lit up as she approached a tall, glowing display.

---

[Moonpiercer]

[Rank: Legendary]

[Description: A bow forged from concentrated moonlight. Arrows fired from this weapon pierce through magical defenses and leave a glowing burn. Can also cast spells.]

[Unique Ability: [Moon Shot] – Channels lunar energy into a single arrow. On impact, applies the [Suppression] status effect for 5 seconds.]

[Cost: 150 Battle Tokens]

---

"Oh wow," Sam muttered. "That's actually… really good."

He was surprised. Even among Legendary items, this one stood out.

The fact that it had a unique ability that inflicted status effects made it more dangerous than most weapons here.

"What does [Suppression] do?" he asked.

Lily turned, her grin widening. "It stops the enemy from regenerating mana and blocks off some of their skills. It's the weakest version of the effect, but still really strong."

She didn't hesitate.

"I'm taking it."

With that, both Lily and Alicia finalized their purchases, glowing panels confirming the exchange of tokens.

The two girls walked away proudly, visibly pleased with their choices.

Sam and Chloe, meanwhile, held onto their tokens. They had more fights ahead, and bigger plans.

The group reconvened outside the castle, all satisfied in different ways.

Meanwhile, elsewhere in the [Battle Kingdom]—

Seraphine lay on a soft velvet couch, the room around her silent.

She had dominated her battles with ease. At her level, there hadn't been a single opponent who could touch her.

The announcement about the [Battle Archive] echoed in her mind.

"The [Battle Archive]…" she mumbled softly, her fingers brushing over the glowing panel in front of her. "Maybe I'll use it…"

She hadn't planned to. There weren't any people worth watching in her opinion... except for one.

That human boy. The one who spoke to her without fear. The one who seemed… different.

Curious, she tapped the Archive window.

[Please enter the name of the awakener you wish to view.]

Seraphine paused.

Her smile faded.

"…Ah," she exhaled.

She hadn't asked for his name.

A small sigh escaped her lips as she leaned back. She couldn't watch his battles. Not yet.

But she'd find out eventually. She was sure of it.

And something told her that he wouldn't be leaving the [Battle Realm] anytime soon.

'That aura…' she thought to herself, recalling the image of his crimson eyes. 'There's no way someone like him would leave early.'

She closed her eyes.

Her expression softened, but not in peace. A tension hung behind it. A weight.

"Humanity is rising," she whispered, "and that means… we're getting close to the beginning of the prophecy."

Her voice dropped at that last word, as if saying it aloud might awaken something.

She wasn't the only one who knew. Every world knew it.

And soon, all of them would be fighting to stop it, as well as the [Forsaken] realm.

But for now, Seraphine remained still, lying alone in the silence of her room.

Her thoughts drifted back to the one boy who didn't flinch in front of her.

And her last thought before falling asleep—

'Primordial,' she recalled to herself, 'Just… who and what are you?'1

I just wanna note here that Seraphine does NOT know about Sam and his class, she is recalling the prophecy right here!
