With that, now Thomas too was standing there in the suit he grabbed from one of his agents, just looking at the thousands of people standing there waiting. But he could feel they were in shock from Benjamin's and Linda's speech, like what they said even shocked him, like what even the President meant by that? That IF agents were arrested too?
He didn't even know about it, but well, he also wanted to arrest some for reasons like corruption and bribery too. But it was a surprise that the President actually picked some of them.
But now the only thing that was important was to deliver his speech in the way that Benjamin and Linda did, with power, and show himself to the nation as the director of maybe the most important agency, the one that acts before bad things happen… well, they weren't that good at it before, but now they will, as his speech suggested.
"Today, I stand before you with a solemn message, our intelligence forces have already identified the decisive movements of our enemy, the cartel that is now officially classified as a terrorist organization, is the very same group that orchestrated the attack on Vice President Alex Carter, with the help of influential gangsters in our capital."
His speech started off with a blow again confirming that it was exactly how the pole thought it, Carter died because of the very thing that terrorized the city for years, the gangster and the mafias.
"They operate in the shadows, but they will no longer hide. With the full authorization of President William, we have placed not just these criminals, but the traitors who called themselves politicians under constant surveillance. Every step they take, every corrupt transaction, every illicit deal is being recorded. We have undeniable evidence against hundreds of these individuals who are selling our country, our policies, and our very future to terrorists, gangsters, and anyone willing to pay their price.But we are not alone. In alliance with the NSBI, the ISB, and other allied forces, we are united and prepared to strike with precision and resolve. Our mission is clear, to dismantle these criminal networks and to serve justice for the people of this nation!" He pushed the last words hard, and looked up for a moment to see how people were reacting but still there was silence.
"Let me be clear, there will be no tolerance for corruption or betrayal. We will protect the innocent and ensure that people live in peace, even as we fight behind the shadows to crush those who threaten our security. There are many questions you might have. What is the step to protect you all, the civilians, from this harm?" He looked up again before he continued. " Today, I hereby announce the creation of a new agency, born from countless hours of debate and planning, a force designed to protect the people with integrity and courage. The Domestic Security Force, or DSF, will operate under the Intelligence Service, staffed by the best trained officers from our military, police, and security agencies. This is not a military unit, nor is it a secret police. It is a specialized force dedicated to protecting the streets and the people, free from corruption and bribery. The DSF will replace compromised officers and restore trust in our security forces.
The DSF will be fearless. They will stand strong against gangsters, terrorists, and all who threaten peace. Their mission is simple: to protect the innocent, uphold justice, and ensure that no one, no matter how powerful, is above the law. They fear no gangsters, no terrorists.

As she finished his speech, he waited a bit in silence, just like how the crowd was too silent, like if they were even there, like if it was just all a dream. But now it was too real, because the people just couldn't react… these speeches were not just the deep licks in their asses to try to maintain the crowd, the nation, but it was all hard and real speech that told what was wrong and what they were going and clearly doing against it.
It was real something was actually happening to make the country better.
Something that seemed unreal to them… when they came with the intent to have a big demonstration, a protest against the government… they actually started to act like one after all these years.
They didn't even have time to realize what was happening and puzzle together the speech when finally the last one, Stephen, stepped to the microphone.
"My words today are not meant for the ears of the general public, nor for the complacent within this nation. No, they are directed at those who surround us in shadows, who move unseen yet with intent to sabotage. To those who have already set plans in motion to halt our actions, this is your final warning, step forward now, and prove your allegiance to our sovereignty, or be swept aside."
Yes, that's exactly why Stephen was stressing as fuck, because his speech wasn't for the public or to that gangster but to every foreign agency, the Union, everybody… and it was of course William's plan.
"You oppose us because your agents are embedded deep within our borders, undermining our strength from within. We know who you are. We have known each other for some time. But despite this betrayal, we offer you one last chance, a narrow window to withdraw your influence and leave our soil before the dawn of tomorrow."
He looked up, and it was a straightforward threat and he knew very well that he would be in international news because threatening foreign agents and saying they are operating illegally… one of the most serious moves anyone could make.
"To those foreign nations who conspire against us, who plot in the halls of power and through covert channels to weaken us, hear me clearly, we are not here to declare a dictatorship. We are here to declare the unwavering protection of our homeland, the firm defense of our sovereignty, and the resolute execution of the duties entrusted to us. This is a turning point. We will no longer tolerate the corrosive forces that seek to fracture us. We will no longer bow to external pressures or internal sabotage. The time for hesitation is over. Our vision is clear.

He finished his speech and, without once glancing back at the crowd, simply stepped down. He was furious, he hadn't been able to mention William's name even once. Worse, he had just openly turned against every single agency, which in itself was a blatant rule violation. But at least they were in a national emergency, so neither the Union nor any other law mattered anymore.
