Power Trip: I Got Reborn in Dragon Ball with Broken Adaptation

Chapter 29: Three Suns and a Tyrant

The ship's ramp opened with a hydraulic hiss, and dry, scorching wind swept through the airlock.

Kai stepped out first, followed by the others. Three suns beat down from above, casting no shadows. The sky was washed in pale green, and the grass underfoot shimmered like ocean glass. The world looked fragile, peaceful. He knew better.

Namek.

Goku stretched his arms overhead. "Feels warmer than I thought it'd be."

Krillin shaded his eyes with one hand. "Is it just me, or is this planet missing clouds?"

"It has three suns," Piccolo said flatly. "No night. No rain. Just heat."

Bulma was the last to step out, squinting down at her scouter as she brushed her bangs out of her face. "Signal's bouncing all over the place. Either this planet hates technology or someone else is already lighting up the sky."

Kai didn't speak. He opened his system with a thought.

[Analyzing Nearby Power Signatures…]

[Son Goku: 570,000]

[Son Gohan: 250,000]

[Krillin: 230,000]

[Piccolo: 550,000]

Kai raised a brow, impressed.

'You guys weren't kidding about training. They've come a long way.'

Then his own power level appeared beneath the others.

[Current Power Level: 10,000,000,000]

He sighed and closed the interface.

He didn't feel stronger. Not in any way that mattered. What good was that number when no one around him could touch it? Strength without challenge wasn't strength at all. It was just a number counting toward nothing.

That's when it happened.

The air hummed. Not from power. From something else — a presence reaching into his mind. A voice, clear and resonant, filled the heads of everyone standing on the ship's ramp.

"Hello, can you all hear me?"

Goku blinked. "That's King Kai!"

"Good. Listen carefully — I don't have much time. There are two major threats on that planet already. First, Vegeta. He left Earth and made it to Namek ahead of you. He's acting alone, but he's dangerous, and he's hunting the Dragon Balls."

The others stiffened.

"Second, and far more dangerous, is someone named Frieza. He commands a massive army and is after the Dragon Balls as well. He's been on Namek for days now, tearing through villages, interrogating Namekians. He's ruthless. Avoid him if you can. I repeat — avoid him."

Gohan's voice trembled slightly. "Already here…?"

"Yes. And his elite soldiers are with him. Powerful ones. Far beyond what you've fought before. Be careful. Move quickly. And don't engage unless you have no other choice."

The voice faded.

Silence settled in.

Piccolo crossed his arms. "Then we move now. Before Frieza wipes out every Namekian and gets the Dragon Balls first."

Krillin nodded. "We'll cover more ground if we split up. Try to find any Namekian villages that haven't been hit yet."

"Right," Goku said. "And if anyone runs into trouble, fire a flare. We'll regroup."

The group turned toward Kai.

"You coming?" Gohan asked.

Kai looked at Bulma, who was already tapping away on her tablet, her lips tight. "I'll stay behind. Someone needs to help her run diagnostics, and I doubt she'd want to be out in triple suns with a heat gun in her hand."

Bulma didn't look up. "Smart choice."

Piccolo grunted. "Suit yourself."

With that, the others took off into the sky, each headed in a different direction, fading dots against the endless green horizon.

Kai watched them go. When they vanished from sight, he let out a slow breath.

Bulma finally glanced up at him. "So you decided to sit out?"

"I'll catch up when it matters," Kai said. "Right now, you need someone to guard the ship."

"You sure it's not just because you're bored of being ten steps ahead of everyone?"

He smirked faintly. "Something like that."

Bulma went back to her device. The wind picked up, brushing across the fields. The suns hung still above them like unblinking eyes.

Somewhere far off, a monster was tearing this planet apart.

Kai closed his eyes.

He wouldn't stop it yet.

But he would be ready when the time came.

Okay so different question how long will it take until you're bored if you knew EVERYTHING. Like for example a new game comes out you already know everything about it and to beat it perfectly. Anything happens you've known. You know everything in the universe.
