Pokemon: Rising from Pallet Town System

Chapter 100: CHAPTER 101

c101: Oak's Champion Dragonite!!

"Use Psychic to help Xiaohao heal his injuries? Ash, you..." Gary paused, his expression stiffening.

Although there was no concrete proof, Gary's instincts screamed that Ash had something to do with the sudden aggression of the wild Gyarados. The timing was suspicious. Just moments ago, Gary had been about to question Ash about the odd surge in the water's aura only for Ash to preempt him, asking first whether he should use his powers to heal Xiaohao.

"This…" Gary faltered. Emotionally, he didn't want to see Ash help Xiaohao especially given the tension between them. But Xiaohao's injuries were serious. Ash had the power to heal. And despite his sharp tongue, Ash wasn't someone who let people suffer needlessly. Gary remained conflicted.

Ash, however, didn't press for Gary's reply. He simply placed Froakie back on his shoulder and stepped forward, heading not for the injured Xiaohao at first but for Dragonite, still hovering with silent vigilance nearby.

"Dragonite, you were amazing out there," Ash said as he approached. "Can I give you a hug?"

"Dra~gon!" As Professor Oak's ace partner, Dragonite was famously calm and affectionate. Having previously detected Ash's peaceful aura, and sensing no hostility, the gentle Dragon-type gave a cheerful nod.

"Thank you, Dragonite!" Ash beamed, throwing his arms around the Pokémon's soft, warm belly. As he did, a system scan activated silently in his mind, beginning the skill-copying process from Oak's powerhouse.

Copying skill data… 10%... 20%... 30%...

80%... 90%... 100%.

The process took longer than usual Dragonite's move pool was extensive, including techniques both natural and TM-based: Hurricane, Dragon Dance, Thunder Punch, Draco Meteor, Aqua Tail, and even the rare Destruction Roar.

"Thanks again, Dragonite." Ash gave Dragonite one final affectionate squeeze. As he did, he subtly transferred a stream of purified aura Original Power: Zhuoyuan into Dragonite's body. The mysterious rock-like energy in Ash's system responded immediately, pulsing gently in resonance with Dragonite's draconic lifeforce.

Vibration surge Aura enhancement +1%.

Having finished copying Dragonite's ability set and sharing a trace of his aura, Ash turned and finally approached the growing crowd surrounding Xiaohao, Froakie still perched calmly on his shoulder.

"Excuse me…" Ash murmured, as a ripple of wave-guided force swept outward from his body, parting the gathered students as if by instinct. His use of Aura, subtle but undeniable, created a gentle path through the crowd.

Xiaohao was lying on the grassy embankment, blood trickling from the corner of his mouth, his clothes wet and torn. His breathing was shallow. Oak knelt beside him, urgently speaking into a communication device to call the camp's emergency medics.

Without hesitation, Ash strode directly toward them.

"Professor Oak," he said firmly, "I can use Psychic to stabilize Xiaohao's condition. Please allow me to help."

Oak turned sharply. "Ash you have Psychic abilities?!"

Despite his worry, Oak couldn't hide his shock. Very few trainers possessed true Psychic power and even fewer could channel it precisely enough to heal trauma.

Ash didn't waste time explaining. He inhaled, focused, and drew out the vibrant green glow of the Viridian Forest's gift within him. Both of his hands lit with a soft, radiant light a fusion of natural Aura and psychic resonance.

The students nearby gasped audibly. Most had only read about the legendary "Green Power" said to connect chosen ones to Pokémon and the life energy of the planet. Seeing it in person was something else entirely.

Oak, composed even under pressure, didn't press Ash for details. Whatever this power was Psychic, Aura, or something else it was real, and Xiaohao desperately needed it.

"Go ahead, Ash," Oak said, nodding quickly. "He's in your hands."

"Understood." Ash knelt beside Xiaohao, Froakie watching with wide eyes. With practiced focus, he positioned his glowing palms a few inches above Xiaohao's chest and closed his eyes. A low hum filled the air.

This was no ordinary move it was the refined healing art passed down from Aura guardians: a controlled release of life force known as Healing Pulse: Chang Xin Form. As the green light bathed Xiaohao's injured body, a warmth spread across his skin, and his breathing slowly began to ease.

Of course, on the surface, Ash appeared to struggle while performing the healing technique, but in truth, he was channeling the power of the Viridian aura.an ability linked to those who can communicate with Pokémon.into his palms, making them emit a distinct emerald-green light.

He had earlier summoned a Gyarados through his wave-guiding abilities, similar to those depicted in The Rise of Darkrai and seen in characters like Sir Aaron, using aura as a medium to command the powerful Water/Flying-type against Goh (Xiao Hao). It was hard to believe he would now use that same power with compassion to treat Goh's injuries.

The real reason he acted at this moment was to covertly inform the Pokémon League, via Professor Oak his long-time mentor and ally of his psychic awakening, hoping to gain attention and possibly influence within the League hierarchy.

Yet, despite Ash maintaining the healing posture for several minutes, the visible pain on Goh's face showed no signs of fading, which left Oak visibly puzzled.

"Ash..."

"Professor, my psychic ability was suddenly triggered after I was submerged and hospitalized a few days ago," Ash explained, referencing his near-drowning incident at Cerulean Cape. "Although it allows me to accelerate recovery, it's still weak."

"Also, my healing is more effective on Pokémon than on humans, due to the nature of aura resonance." As he spoke, he continued to treat Goh, his expression one of forced effort, the green aura still flickering across his hands.

"I see. Even so, some healing is better than none. Ash, hang on I've already contacted the medical team, they should arrive soon," Oak encouraged him.

"Understood, Professor" Ash nodded. The aura in his hands intensified, and his face tensed further, yet Goh remained writhing in discomfort, his groans rising with each breath.

"Endure it, Goh. Don't give in," Ash murmured, watching the other boy suffer. "Of course, if you do die, I suppose it wouldn't be the worst outcome." His voice dropped to a whisper, only for himself.

As a transmigrator, someone reborn into the Pokémon world after death, Ash held life in high regard but only the lives of those he truly cared about. When it came to strangers or rivals, he was often colder than even Team Rocket's grunts.

In his past life, he had been a dedicated fan of Pokémon, cherishing every Type and creature. But people? People were judged by proximity. To Ash, Goh—a potential usurper of his protagonist fate was nothing more than a threat to his destiny, and Ash was far too selfish to be merciful.

"Uh huh~ huh~" The sounds of rustling and engine whine grew louder. Forest Camp 5.9, located near the riverbank where the students had been fishing that morning, lay just minutes away. Soon, the forest path trembled under the wheels of the approaching emergency vehicle.

As the ambulance pulled into view, Ash completed his performance his body went limp, and he collapsed to the dirt, panting dramatically.

"Thank you, Ash. You did your best," Oak said with heartfelt concern as he ordered the medics to lift Goh onto the stretcher and rushed over to help Ash to his feet.

Ash respected Oak deeply not just as a mentor and grandfather to his friend Gary, but as one of the few truly kind and wise figures in Pallet Town.

"But regarding Goh... I'm sorry, Professor Oak..." Ash whispered quietly, watching the medical team work, his apology both genuine and empty. He meant the words, but not the sentiment.
